"Sister." Freya got up from the couch and turn around to see Klaus standing in the doorway. "The years have been kind to you." He complimented as he walks towards her and gives her a hug.

Freya pulls away after a while. "Well, you know, just sun block, the love of a good woman and literal witchcraft." Freya said with sarcasm but then sighs as reality of five years go through her mind. "You can't stay. Hope's home."

"I have no interest in infecting my daughter or any of my kids with this darkness. Once we've found Hope's mother and my lovely fiancé, I'll crawl back to whence I came. Freya, this city reeks of blood like it hasn't since the War of 1812." Klaus said.

Freya nodded her head. "Yeah, well, you're to blame this time. I know you spoke with Rebekah and then hours later, it rained red." Freya explained.

"No story that begins with water turning into blood has ever ended in triumph. I need to leave." Klaus says as he walks past Freya. "Or things are gonna get worse. Tell me about Hayley and Phoenix.

A pot of daises has suddenly wilted, quickly dying after being healthy. The kids knew exactly what this means and quickly rushed out their rooms and towards Freya knowing that their father will be there talking to her.

"I tried every locator spell I know..." Klaus stop listening to Freya when he heard multiple footsteps approaching him and Freya quickly with his vampire hearing. He looked back at Freya before whooshing away before the kids could see him.

"Dad?" Nicholas called out as he was the first to run into the room. They were all sadden when they realized they missed their chance to see him and looked at Freya with a gloomy face.

Declan drops a chunk of meat on a cutting board and starts whistling the song "When the Saints Go Marching In" when soundly he was interrupted by a voice.

"You know, for a gent with a missing paramour, you're awfully chipper." Klaus says as he plays with a green Appel in his hand.

"You might avoid sneaking up in a bloke with a blade in his hand." Declan said casually.

"Where's Hayley Marshall?" Klaus asked him going straight to the point.

Declan out the knife down and rubs his hands on his apron. "Best guess: roaming about her giant house sorting out inspired new ways to be emotionally unavailable." He said sarcastically. "Who the hell's asking?"

Klaus stopped leaning against the shelf and walked towards Declan so they were only 3 steps away from each other. "My name is Klaus Mikaelson." He introduced himself.

"Doesn't ring a bell." Declan said.

Klaus puts his hand on Declan's shoulders and starts to compel him. "Does Hayley have any enemies?" He asked as his pupils start to dilate.

"Enemies? Nah. She's a single mother, not a supervillain." Declan said. Klaus took his hand off his shoulder as he stares at him. "You're the kids father, aren't you? You look like some of them, round the eyes."

"If you don't cooperate, Declan, 'round the eyes' is where I'm gonna start carving off pieces of you." Klaus threatens.

"Hayley stood me up, okay? It's not exactly rare. I figured, hell, the kids das must have done a number on her. I also found it odd that he would leave Hayley with their 8 children. Well, since you're obviously a right Ray of sunshine, it must have been someone else broke her heart— and the kids'" Declan said mockingly.

"Don't mention my children in that way." Klaus said and points a finger towards him.

"Really? Look around." Declan suggested. Klaus turns around and looks at a picture of Declan on a wall, but he looks closer to see Hope, Dove, and Henrik's name was in the bottom left corner of the picture. "I'm here. Birthday's, holidays We've been teaching them how to drive, but Hunter, Nicholas, Eric, Angel, and Maddox refused to be taught by me. Where the hell were you?"

Klaus vamp speeds him to the counter and pushed him back against it. "You are utterly disposable." Klaus said as his hybrid face comes out. He hissed and is about to feed on his blood but got thrown back away from Declan by magic.

"Seriously, Dad?" Hope said as she stares at her father.

"Honestly Hope, I wished you would have waited till after dad had killed him." Nicholas said as him and the rest of their siblings stood at the entrance of the kitchen looking at their father.

"I agree, he would be one less Irish man that is irrelevant in this world." Hunter added in and him and Nicholas fist pump each other.

Klaus looked at all his kids in udder shock.

Klaus grabbed Declan Anaheim and compels him. "Looks like you need to go back to the butcher's immediately. You won't remember meeting me today." He said and steps to the side.

Declan looks into Hope's eyes and then Dove and Henrik's. "Ah, Mornin', kid. Um, I'll be back. I forgot to stop by the Shank. But saved you a bread pudding in the fridge." He takes his apron off. "Your favorite." Declan leaves and now it's just Klaus and the kids.

Klaus looks down not wanting to see any disappointment in his children's eyes. "Go home."

"Could you just look at at us?" Angel pleads before walking closer to Klaus so she was face to face with him. "Our mom's are missing, Dad. I'm scared that they'll get hurt."

"Please you have to help us find them together." Hope said as she also stands in front of Klaus.

Klaus slowly looks at his oldest daughters and saw the look of Hope go in their eyes as he finally looks at them. Then the eerie whispers started in his head and he immediately looks away. "We're too close. I can hear the whispers: you must, too."

Hope knew they were about to lose him as worry was plastered on her face. "Let me help you find them."

"If you don't do as I say I'll have Freya bind you to the Compound with a spell. I don't want it to come to that. Go home." He looks at the rest of his kids that stood quiet. "All of you." He told them and walks past Angel and Hope.

Klaus storms into the Compound looking for his children after being told some very valuable information. "Angel! Hope! Maddox! Eric! Nicholas! Hunter! Dove! Henrik!" He yelled furiously.

He walked up the stairs to find all the kids in a room and Hope coming from behind him and went to stand next to her siblings.

"Please tell me it isn't true." He hardly stated and baldly questioned, but none of them have said anything. He looked at Dove and saw that she held guilt in her eyes. "What have you done with your mothers?

The kids sat down on couches and chairs knowing they were going to get lectured.

"Do you have any idea what you've done?" Klaus asked them upset.

"We knew we need to do something drastic to bring you back to us." Angel said.

"So you had your little hybrid friend attack your mother? And steal my fiancé?"

"Henry just did the heavy lifting. And 'attack' is a really strong word. Our mom's are fine." Hope explained not getting a response from Klaus.

"Hayley is in a really nice coffin, sleeping. Dove picked out the coffin making sure the cushions were soft so she won't get a sore neck when she wakes up." Nicholas said.

"Hope put a sleeping spell on her and then I cloaked her with a spell we have written ourselves." Angel said trying to ease the tension.

"Oh, well, in that case, I've never been prouder. Where are they?" Klaus asked them again.

"Why should we even tell you! You're just gonna disappear again and we'll never see or here from you for next five or more years, it's bad enough we're not aloud to see our mom anymore but Hope still gets to see hers. It's not fair!" Dove ranted angrily.

"I would be putting you guys in danger if we're in proximity. I know you, Hope, feel that." Klaus explained frustration clear in his voice. The flowers ina pot on a table between them starts wilted and then die in less of a second. Then a poisonous corn snake comes out the pot and slithers around the table.

"The dark magic inside us manifests itself in ugly ways. We could be putting others in danger, too." Klaus gestures to the busy city outside the Compound. "The whole city."

They all stood up angrily. "We don't care." They shouted together.

"And besides, only Hope has that evil wrench inside of her, why condemn the rest of your kids with the same fate of not being able to speak or see you." Maddox said.

"This isn't a debate! The kids I remember would never pull this kind of scheme." Klaus said.

"Sorry to disappoint you. But we all read your journals. You compelled Camille O'Connell to write your memoirs. Of a guy who use to put his family members in coffins and use them as leverage." Hope said.

Klaus smirks as he walks up to her ignoring the whispers going on in his head. "So you studied my old tricks." Hope looks at him nervously. "Did you learn this one?" Klaus puts his hands one Hope's head and shoulder and went inside her head.

A picture of a dark brown coffin and a red, orange, yellow casket is sitting in the dark with old antics surrounding it.

"She's at St. Anne's."

"Get out of my head!" Hope yelled out and push Klaus away.

"You could die, Hope. Just by standing here, I could be destroying you. I'll ask your mother to take it easy on you. Okay? Good-bye my children." Klaus said and went to the balcony but it closed in his face before he could exit.

Klaus turns around to see Angel had her fist up and she was staring straight at him. "I know some tricks, too." She said refusing Klaus to just up and leave.

A black snake slithered it's way out of a flower pot.

~~~
Klaus was quickly going down the stairs to the front door trying to get away but everyone was following after him.
"You called us, wrote letters to each and every one of us but you decide to lose contact, why did you stop?" Nicholas asked as they speed walked to the front door.
"You know why?" Klaus said as he continues to the door.
"We didn't think we had to knock before entering an astral plane." Dove said sarcastically. Klaus put both hands on the door knob only to realize they were locked as well. "I'm sorry, did we interrupt your homicide party?"
Klaus turned around to stare at them. Seeing as there was no way to leave without having a valid explanation, he finally put what has been bothering him on the table. "You came to me that night because cards and letters weren't enough." He said and Angel couldn't deny that because it really wasn't enough. "I stopped them for your own good."
Hope looked upset by his words and shook her head at him. "You don't know what's good for me. You know, you stir up these stories about a crazy original dropping bodies, and people talk at school and I have to be quiet little Hope Marshall while the rest of my siblings get kicked to the outcast with little to no friends, when I am so mad I want to scream."
"Well, welcome to the bloody party!" Klaus yelled at her in frustration. He took a breathed to calm down before anything else could be said. He saw the sadness in all of his kids eyes and knew he had to continue. "I was protecting you when I left. The horror in everyone's eyes that night when you saw me is... burned into my memory."
Angel looked at her father in disbelief. "I was ten. And we saw this scary monster who looked like our dad who taught us how to mix paint, who called me, Hope, and Dove, princesses and the boys kings or warriors. I didn't know which version of you was real. We waited for you to explain it... or apologize. Or to tell us that you loved us all." Klaus looked away before a tear could be shed. "We waited for you for years. But you never came back."
"In my experience, fathers cause pain. Whether by their presence or their absence, there's a certain type of ruin that only a father can... can leave behind." Klaus stuttered the last few words out. "But, you all were such sweet caring kids. Perhaps I was always bound to leave you broken."
Henrik walked in front of his siblings with his own tears unshed. "Do you really believe that we're broken?" He asked as his voice was cracking.
"If we're so broken, then maybe it was best if we never remembered you as our father." Angel said as a tear fell down. She held a palm out and made a fist, taking the magic out of the doors making them open for Klaus to leave. "You can go back to ignoring us for the next seven years or more."
Klaus walked up to Angel. "Angel please." He begged as he finally had a tear down his face. He slowly stopped when the whispers went off. He looked over his shoulders to see half a dozen snakes slithering towards him.
Klaus looked back to see that none of his kids will look him in the eye so he quickly whooshed away before more could be said.
