《Orion》33

Strolling through the markets of Woodhill with a basket in hand, trying to get food and supplies for their journey, was Bellona, with Elpida right beside her instructing on the necessities to get.
They had both gotten changed out of their old dresses, into something much more beautiful which complimented their bodies well.
Their boots tapped lightly as they moved around stalls, checking to see if anything was needed in their basket.
"I'll be back, I just saw berries being carted away" Elpida said to her immediately, turning around going the other way.
"Elpida" Bellona called out, but couldn't keep up after much tries.
She went on getting some apples for the horses, and other things for the rest. She paid for some blankets which they could need at night, and bought some few more items, with the money left.
Thieves moved around the market, stealing items from stalls, unseen by owners. It was the usual. It usually resulted in the owners yelling on, while trying to get a hold of them, and if anyone was to get caught, the villagers took it upon themselves to mete out the punishments severely.
Just about leaving, Bellona felt a strong hold on her wrist. She flinched at once, her eyes moving up, only to see a man, grinning down at her, and pulling her closer to the chest.
"So sad for a damsel like you to move around with those things in your hands" He muttered in a low voice.
"Bother not, I'm fine" She spoke immediately and tried walking off, but got stopped in her tracks, as the man pulled her back to him.
"Do you work at the inn?" He asked.
"Cause I could use some services" He smirked.
"Let go of me, you pig!" She spat.
He grabbed her waist lightly, pushing the basket off her hands and then turning her around, face-back to his chest.

"Shhh, dearest" He cooed.
"I could do whatever I wanted with you, and not a single soul would say a word about it"
The man's hold on her was rough, and firm. His hands roamed her body, going from places, while his thick lips gave hot kisses on her skin.
"Not if I've got something to say" A voice from behind spoke.
He felt a sharp blade pressed to his neck, as whoever it was behind him spoke.
"A step forward, and my blade will have to be the death of you" Orion spoke from behind, pushing the sword deeper into the skin of the man.
"Easy" The man uttered, loosening his grip on Bellona.
By then, people around the market had their gazes focused on them.
He turned around slowly, raising his hands in a surrendering motion.
"I was only welcoming her properly to Woodhill. A girl like this shouldn't be left wandering all alone" He uttered with a wide grin on his lips, while his eyes feasted on her body hungrily.
His eyes suddenly thinned, peering closer at Orion who still had his sword pointed threateningly at him.
For a moment, he stared blank lying at him, brows scrunched up in confusion, while staring intently at the face of Orion.
"It's Orion!" He yelled.
"Seize him!" He commanded to some men.
The men rushed forward with sticks in their hands, all ready to attack, lunging forward and advancing towards the figure.
"Let's go!" Orion called, taking the hands of Bellona, and then running off in the other direction.
Sima and Sonora both appeared from the crowd, warding off anyone who dared take a step closer to them.
"Get the horses!" Sonora yelled loudly, shooting arrows at the men who came attacking them, scattering foods everywhere while they were being lunged at.

Aiden and Pavlos suddenly rode out of the stables, jamming a large cart in the process, while yelling for Sima and Sonora to get on.
They had little time as they couldn't grab all the horses amidst the uproar.
Orion who jumped on his horse immediately, held his hand out for Bellona to take it, seeing as to how they were a horse short.
She willingly grabbed onto it, getting on his horse, and placing her hands around him, as they all rode away, with the men chasing after them with pitchforks and knives.

Witchbone: The Goblins Winter
Themes found in these stories include friendship, found family, defying negative expectations, trying to figure out how to be a force for good in your corner of the world, doing heroic things even if you don't look or feel like a hero, and that being different isn't necessarily fatal. Summary: A spell of arctic weather. A mysterious death. The reading of a will. Strange tracks in the snow. Eleven-year-old Danny Hallow accepts his life, such as it is. His father is dead, his mother left years ago. His three Keepers are the only people aware of Danny's erratic and not-very-impressive psychic abilities. He has no friends, he's been suspended from school, and he's responsible for the life of a small brown bat that's ended up in his care. When Danny's estranged Uncle Enoch dies under mysterious circumstances, he and his Keepers are called to the town of Eddystone, New Hampshire for the reading of the man's will. Traveling four hundred miles from his dreaded hometown to attend, Danny is happy to get away, possibly inherit something interesting- and maybe find out more about his family while he's there. Arriving at the crumbling family estate of Gnomewood Home, he finds it to be hauntingly familiar, a bit creepy, oddly comforting, and possibly alive. When his uncle's will reveals that he's inherited Gnomewood and everything in it, he's determined to stay and make a happier life for himself in Eddystone, somehow. But at Gnomewood, he finds more questions than answers to his family's secrets. Disturbing old memories come to him in dreams. His psychic abilities begin to grow stronger, and as a result he becomes aware that a horde of cryptic creatures are plaguing the town of Eddystone, seemingly drawn out by the spell of an unusually frigid February. Toothy little goblins that are sneaky, vicious, and hungry. Goblins that take a particular interest in Danny. Will the emergence of the alien, and potentially dangerous, power he's inherited from his peculiar family tree help Danny survive the goblin infested winter, inadvisable attempts to befriend a terrifying boy with silver eyes, and a new school? Only if he learns to control them before they put him and everyone around him in danger. Before they convince some people that he should never have been allowed to exist at all. Before he becomes just another twisted tale in his family's bizarre history, kept hidden for centuries within the ivy-covered walls of Gnomewood Home.
