the others' eyes widened; they couldn't believe the nonsense that was coming out of minhyuk's mouth.
"so they would go through all of that trouble just for y/n? that doesn't make any sense at all." kihyun doubted him. "i bet they were also too drunk to even talk about her either."
"i think minhyuk's right." shownu agreed. minhyuk shook his hand, feeling grateful that someone had the same thoughts as him. "yesterday, when you guys were all drunk, they asked you guys about her."
"what did we say? we didn't say anything stupid, right?" jooheon asked. "especially me?"
shownu shook his head. "thanks to my sober and smart self, i saved all of your butts. i cut of everything you guys were about to say and avoided the subject as best as i could."
all of them dropped to the ground and bowed, making him laugh.
"seriously, what would we do without you, hyung." jooheon said. "me and minhyuk's loudmouths would've said something about her to them."
"when am i ever wrong, though?" minhyuk bragged, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "see? my overthinking takes me places."
"yeah, whatever." kihyun rolled his eyes. "turn off the lights. we should sleep now."
minhyuk sighed and shook his head, shutting the lights off. the boys all tucked themselves in their beds and slept.
~ couple weeks later ~
"hurry up, minhyuk! we are going to be late!" kihyun nagged at minhyuk, who was taking a long time shaving his face. minhyuk finally opened the bathroom door and grabbed his backpack. kihyun grabbed his wrist, and all of them exited the dorm.
they ran out of the building and ran as fast as they could to the high school; today was their first day of the new school year. the boys were looking forward to seeing y/n since she was starting her freshman year there.

they all arrived several minutes later, their legs tired from all the running.
"jooheon!" he and the others turned around and saw y/n walking quickly to catch up with them. they all hugged y/n, happy to see their friend.
"welcome to high school y/n." shownu welcomed, chuckling.
"this is the place where everyone's depression hits." changkyun added on, sighing. she laughed.
"this place seems so big compared to my old school," she observed, looking at the tall buildings with her mouth open. she then took a piece of paper out of her bag and gave it to them. "this is my schedule. i don't know where's everything."
"i'll take you there!" changkyun exclaimed, grabbing her wrist and leading her through the giant crowd of students.
"damn, not even a goodbye." minhyuk said, sighing.
"the kid's growing up." shownu added on.
"i felt like a mom feeling sad because her son wouldn't hug her bye." kihyun pouted.
"c-could you let go of my wrist? it kinda hurts." y/n asked changkyun. they finally arrived at the freshman building. he let go of her wrist immediately, not realizing he did so.
"oh, sorry." he apologized, scratching his neck nervously. "well, here's the freshman building. if you need help getting around, text me! i'll help you as much as possible."
"thank you so much!" she thanked, hugging him. he hugged her back, feeling glad that he helped someone out.
"i gotta go to the sophomore building, see you y/n!" changkyun waved, running away from her. y/n waved and walked into the classroom where she had her first class.
~ time skips ~
lunch arrived. rather than texting the boys like she said she was going to earlier, y/n decided to walk around campus.

exiting the freshman building, she saw the big crowds of students like her; tall and short, girls and boys, long-haired and short-haired students as well.
the crowd quickly disappeared into a big building, which looked similarly like the warehouse the trainees have their evaluations. y/n looked at the different buildings, which were all painted a grayish-white.
this is way different than last year. she thought to herself. despite her phone vibrating from the boys texting her, she enjoyed how she could see the sky and the tall trees. unlike her old school, the campus was not in one building, and she got to breathe some fresh air.
after looking around at the campus a bit more, she thought that she should go to the cafeteria to look for the boys. instead, she chose to sit on a nearby bench and pulled her phone out, reading all of the unread messages changkyun and jooheon left.
"lost much?" a voice startled her from behind.

Overgrowth
I never thought I'd be killed by butterflies. But here I am... Edmon Valli was a smuggler, before a freak storm threw him off course and stranded him on a desert island smack in the middle of an uncharted monster zone. Trying his best to survive, or possibly even escape, he stumbles across the find of a lifetime: an unclaimed dungeon crystal. This is a dungeon-ish story, but without reincarnation or transmigration. I started it as a whim for NaNoWriMo so I may drop it any time after that... or I might not. My current plan is to write until I can reach some sort of conclusion and call it 'volume one'. I hope someone enjoys reading it for now! All comments, corrections, and criticism welcome.
