《That Day // Villain Deku》Chapter 39 : No Interferences...

I ran as fast as I could from the room as soon as the opportunity arose. I thought I could take him, but his quirk pretty much makes him invincible. I can't touch him...
Maybe if I could get my hands on the bullet that villain shot at Tamaki the other day...
If I could erase Izuku's quirks, then he'd be nothing more than a pathetic, useless, cockroach that I could crush easily.
He's nothing.
Always has been.
Always will be.
He may think that he's something because of his new-found superiority-complex, but he's sorely mistaken. He'll see that someday, but it'll be too late. He crossed a line. He killed our dad.
I heard screams—coming from the room I had just ran from—but I didn't care. Kirishima will work it out, it's not my problem if he gets hurt. He chose to step in and save me, anything that Izuku does to him is his problem. All I need to do is find the brat that's wasting all of our time, bring her to Night Eye and the other pros, and wait for the praise they'll surely shower me with.
I'll get praised by the heroes, my classmates will begin talking to me again, and everything will go back to normal.
Normal.
It sounded weird, nothing will ever be normal again. Izuku has ruined everything. If he had just died that day, dad would still be alive, my classmates would never have stopped talking to me, and mom wouldn't be so depressed all the time. Even Mina dying was his fault. Everything is Izuku's fault.
Nothing in the world is right anymore because of selfish people like him.
Only taking, never giving.
I ran around the base like a headless chicken for what felt like hours—looking for the brat—until I began to hear chatter. It sounded like a little girl mouthing off about something stupid.
It's probably the brat we were looking for.
I smashed through the wall—keeping me from the girl—and ran to her. She looked exactly how I remembered her. Bandages around her arms and legs, red eyes, pale-blue-grey hair, and a disgusting horn on her head. Her washed-out, beige dress made me want to throw up and she was completely doused in blood.
I approached the girl and began scolding her.
"You think it's funny to waste the heroes' time? Huh? It's despicable how someone could be so immature to act as if they were being abused just to meet heroes. Come with me, I still have a job to do. Act as if I saved you or something, will ya?"
Her body shook as I grabbed her harshly and walked her to the entrance of the base. I should just let the pros deal with her, but I still want the credit for saving this little shit. As I dragged her along, her legs gave out and she began whimpering.
"Oh shut up, will you? And walk properly, you're being extremely rude!" I shouted at her, making her shut up quickly and recompose herself.
After a few minutes of walking, I ran into Mirio. He looked with wide eyes at the girl in my arms.

"Eri!" He shouted with relief. "You saved her!" He looked at me before bending down and lifting the shaking girl in the air.
He smiled at her and hugged her, staining his hero costume in blood.
"Come on, we should get her to the pros!" He yelled with excitement and joy as he began turning on his heels and running down the halls. "I know the way."
It took us around ten minutes of solid running, and involved me smashing a few walls every so often, since he had just run through the walls rather than break them down. As we neared the entrance, I heard the sound of shoes tapping on the ground, followed by the sound of Ryukyu talking.
"Come on, let's help the others!" She started.
"Hey! We have the girl!" Mirio shouted.
I was gritting my teeth as a thought crossed my mind.
What if he takes the credit for my rescue.
I single-handedly saved this girl, and he might be planning on taking some of the credit...
We began ascending the stairs we had originally taken down—with the brat still in Mirio's arms—and finally saw the light of the outside world. Ryukyu was there waiting for us and took the girl from Mirio's arms, before running her to an ambulance.
Ryukyu couldn't tell if the blood the girl wore were hers or someone else's, so she wanted her to get checked out in the hospital; although, I'm pretty sure she'd have gone to the hospital regardless. Apparently, we had been the first of the rescue team to emerge from the stairs. Of course, we had another objective than just saving this brat.
The police and pros—still outside—had radioed the others still underground that the girl had been rescued, and told us to relax because we had both done our part. I had been assuming that I would be praised as soon as I had come into view, but after Ryukyu took the girl, everyone just went back to what they had originally been doing.
No appreciation...
I flew through the floor and took to the sky. My eyes quickly adjusted to the light of the early morning sun as I flew to the League's new base. I still wasn't use to it, but it was our new base, so I'd have to learn to accept it.
I had asked Toga to keep an eye on where the girl, Eri, would be transported. I was certain she'd be emitted to a hospital, but I wasn't sure which one. I had other tasks to focus on, so I couldn't keep an eye on her for too long. I had also planned on killing Overhaul once he was done with Shigaraki, but I realized that I should probably get the product I had stolen from the Shie Hassaikai to safety first.
I couldn't let the quirk-erasing bullets fall into the wrong hands, and it would have been a waste to destroy them, so while Eri talked about her favourite heroes, I quickly removed the case of bullets from Nemoto's cold, stiff hands.
As I had arrived to the base, I immediately started working on dissecting the bullets. I noticed upon opening the case that one of the red bullets had been missing, which alarmed me. Thoughts raced through my head as I thought over every option that could have led to why one of the bullets had been missing.

Did someone use one?
Was one forgotten?
Was one hidden incase something like this had ever happened?
I calmed my mind and decided to think about that later. I took the bullet and looked it over, making sure not to accidentally prick myself with the needle.
After hours, staring at the bullet through a microscope—taking note of it's bio-mechanical make-up—I heard the door burst open. The sudden loud noise of my comrades entering the base startled me into almost pricking myself with the bullet, causing me to look back at my loud associates with a look of rage.
They immediately shut up as they felt my glare, burning holes into their figures.
"Toga, were is Eri being held?" I asked, regaining my composure as I closed my eyes and pinched the bridge of my nose in annoyance.
It's not worth getting mad at them. No damage was done, and they're clearly already afraid of me, so there's no use in scolding them.
"The pros brought her to Aiiku Hospital" She immediately answered back in fear.
"I have a question." I heard Dabi's voice echoing through the room. "This girl obviously had a strong power from what Crazy and Twice had told me, right?"
I nodded, waiting for him to continue.
"She can rewind stuff, if I'm not mistaken."
"Yeah?"
"So why did you let the heroes get her?"
Damn, I thought it was obvious?
"Do you seriously think we're in any position to lug a child around? We can't take care of a child, she'd slow us down and get in the way." I answered him, annoyance leaking through my voice.
"So why ask Crazy to follow the girl to the hospital?" I sighed at his words.
"Think about it, if we were to take the girl, we'd have to raise her. We're in no position to take care of, and train a child with such an out-of-control power. At least, we're not able to at the moment." I started. "It's obvious that the heroes will have to train the girl, since they can't very well just let her roam free, nor can they lock her up. Eri will learn to harness her power and control it—under the guidance of the pros; meanwhile, we won't get tethered down with her around."
"That doesn't answer my question, and in the long run, wouldn't that just make things harder on us?" He interrupted me.
"You didn't let me finish."
He sighed and shut up as I waited for a moment of silence before continuing.
"While the girl is being trained, I will check up on her. A little visit here, a gift there, until I've slowly built her trust. While she's being trained by the heroes to use her quirk, I'll help her break free from the darkness of her past. I'll teach her what it's like to be happy. I'll teach her what it's like to have a family." I paused, taking in the expressions of my friends and comrades. "And once she's ready, I'll offer her the chance to join us."
"Do you really think she'd join us?" Toga asked me.
"I think she will, as long as I'm frequently in her life. Even better, if my sister had been the one to find her, I'm sure she's already scared of the heroes... I can shift her view of the heroes. I can open her eyes to the truth about those bastards that everyone so foolishly admires. I can make her see that us 'villains' are the real liberators. That we are the real saviors. That we are here to help." I paused. "Besides, imagine the look of pure shock on the heroes' faces when Eri turns to our side." I laughed.
The looks of approval and admiration my associates wore made my heart flutter. Remembering my plan, I asked a question of my own.
"By the way, where's Tomura?"
"Right here." A voice beamed, as the sound of the door being slammed-open filled my ears.
Oh God, he's still alive.
"What? Did you think Overhaul would kill me or something?" He asked me as he stalked towards me.
His face looked menacing, and confused the others, still around the room. Thoughts swirled around my mind as the worst possible outcome entered my brain.
What if he found out?
"I will not die, until I complete my life's goal." His raspy voice spoke as he stopped in front of me and lifted me from my seat by the collar of my shirt. "I won't die until I beat you in Halo 2"
I released a breath I didn't know I was holding in as I saw the smile on his face. He put me down and hugged me before talking again.
"I know you use cheat codes!"
I laughed at his competitiveness, but on the inside I was confused and angry.
How did he survive?
How did he beat Overhaul?
"It was all thanks to you and Toga that I survived."
Did I say that out loud?
"Yeah, you did. This is the first time in a while I've heard your muttering."
As Tomura and I conversed, I noticed the others leaving—obviously losing interest in our conversation.
"After you told me about Overhaul's plans of murdering me, I was panicking. Luckily, Toga came in and told me about the Shie Hassaikai's plans." He paused. "I had her steal one of their bullets for me and used it on Overhaul. Lucky for me it worked."
I was in shock. Toga was the reason for Tomura still being here. If I had gotten her on board with my plans to take over the League, Tomura would be dead. I think I'm going to need more help killing Tomura next time. I'll need to get everyone in the League to go along with my plans... That way, when I do this again...

8 116The Due
Every sailor knows the tale of Davy Jones' Locker. That place drowned sailors are sent to, ever resting on sea's bed. Some tales recount of a ghostly ship, the Flying Dutchman. Many a story has spawned from these two tales. Countless retellings mixing in their own fictions. But all stories spawn with a kernel of truth to them, and the story of Davy Jones is no exception. Those who've met the legendary seaman and his ghostly ship might call him a ferryman, escorting the drowned to their respective afterlives. Others might call him a devil, meting punishment on those deserving. The true story is always slightly different. Davy Jones is a ferryman, but not one for the afterlife, as Walter finds out. No, Davy Jones manages those who die at sea while in debt, and Walter died with a lot of debt. Unable to pay, Davy puts Walter to work. The specter has just the job for the dead college graduate. Another god, Sod, needs an afterlife for his new world. Davy tasks Walter with the job. Suddenly, Walter finds himself having to run a fledgling underworld with little instruction from Sod. To top it off, the denizens of Sod's world have their own ambitions to achieve godhood, and they won't take kindly to Sod's newest employee shaking up the status quo. [Traumatizing Content tag is up just to let everyone know this will be a story that deals with different themes of death. Some of them won't be nice and so better to be safe than sorry.]
