"He's so hot. It's a shame he's always on that mountain."
"I bet his voice is sexy. Too bad he never talks to any of the trainers who go up there."
"He's so got that lone wolf act down."
Hibiki sighed and started tapping his foot in irritation while he waited for Nurse Joy to heal his Pokemon. The girls sitting a table a couple feet away were rubbing him the wrong way.
"I feel like Red will fall for my charms any moment now." a confident brunette boasted to her friends, a little too proud of a new outfit she had bought. It was getting on Hibiki's nerves.
"Hibiki, your Pokemon are at full health!" Nurse Joy called the black haired boy over. Hibiki was glad to leave.
"Thanks." he said, taking his PokeBalls and fastening to his belt. He was at the Pokemon center at the base of Mt. Silver. All these women, and even men, spoke so disrespectfully towards the champion of Kanto.
"Taking some food up to Red again?" the nurse asked, leaning against the counter. Hibiki nodded.
"It's nice to see that someone actually cares for him. There's no telling how he survived those two years up there without you." she smiled, "And don't let those girls get to you. It'll be a million years before Red falls for girls who only see him for his title." she whispered to him, winking.
Hibiki turned his hat around and pulled it over his eyes so that she couldn't see his pink face. Those girls didn't know Red like he knew Red. He doubted that any of them actually knew a thing about him, other than the fact that they thought he was hot.
Hibiki waved to the nurse, taking his leave and making the trek up the dangerous mountain. He took this trip twice every month, mainly because he knew that there was no chance that Red was coming down the mountain on his own for food.
The former champion Green's sister used to bring him food every now and then since they had known each other since childhood, but she was grateful when Hibiki had met up with her one day on the mountain, telling her that he would take over her 'job' of bringing Red supplies.
He didn't mind though, besides the fact that he was champion, Red was actually a pretty amazing person. He didn't smile much, and despite the fact that he isolated himself on the mountain, he liked to chat with people every now and then.
It took a little time reaching the top of the mountain, but his Pokemon were accustomed to the Pokemon who lived here, as well as the harsh cold of the terrain.

He made his way to the entrance of the cave that Red lived in. Despite being at the top of a bone chilling mountain, it wasn't a bad setup he had. There was a small air mattress, he had a small camping stove that Pikachu powered whenever he needed to hear up food, not to mention a place to set up a fire.
Hibiki knocked on the cave wall, loud enough for Red to here. A small mouse ran forward and jumped into his arms.
"Pikachu! Nice to see you! Looks like you're doing good." he said, petting the yellow creature.
"Chu chu." it tittered, rubbing it's red cheeks against his own, leaving a weird tingly feeling.
Hibiki saw Red sitting next to a fire, poking it with a stick. With a blank expression, he looked up and waved to the boy, standing up to greet him. Seeing as Red was two years older than himself, Hibiki was a little shorter than him, but not very much.
Hibiki pulled a bag out of his backpack and handed it to Red who gladly accepted it. They both sat near the fire, Hibiki warming up his hands from the cold trip.
He felt a tap on his shoulder, and turned to Red. The boy brought his hand up to his chin, and then outward, signing "thank you" at Hibiki.
"No problem. I enjoy coming up here." he replied, still petting Pikachu. Red cracked a small, split second, smile at his Pikachu in Hibiki's lap.
Red's hands made quick movements, first spelling a word, then bringing themselves to his chest before pointing at the boy next to him, "Pikachu likes you." he said. Luckily, Red always kept his signing really simple. Hibiki knew how to sign too, but not quite on the level that Red did.
"Think so? I like him too. He's a great partner." Hibiki said with a smile, but Red was already looking back at the fire.
Seeing Red sign made Hibiki think about the girls at the mountain base. They talked on and on about how amazing Red's voice probably was, but they didn't know him. His voice was amazing, but in a way they probably didn't even think about, the way he signed was beautiful and the younger boy was glad that he knew enough to hold decent conversations with him.
Hibiki shivered a little, it was getting a little bit colder.
"Are you cold?" Red asked, pulling out his Charizard's Pokeball.
"No I'm fine, really. I packed an extra jacket. You need one?" Hibiki didn't understand how Red could tolerate the freezing temperatures of Mt. Silver in a short sleeved jacket. He pulled a jacket out for himself and turned to Red to see his response.
"No thanks, I'm used to it." he signed, "Did you bring any new food though?" he asked and the Johto boy laughed. Red surprisingly loved food, even though he didn't eat much. Hibiki usually tried to bring him some new foods now and then.

"Actually yeah, I heard that poffins were a big thing in a region called Sinnoh, so decided to try some. They're pretty good to me, I think you'll like them." he pulled the small biscuits out of his bag, handing one to Red.
Red took a small bite of the poffin, "It's really good." he ate the rest of it in one bite, while Hibiki modestly ate the rest of his.
"Are there strong trainers in Sinnoh?" the older male asked, leaning back against the cave wall.
"I hear there's lots of strong trainers in Sinnoh, a whole bunch of cool new Pokemon too, a lot we've never even seen before. I saw someone the other day from Sinnoh, they had a Pokemon called Torterra. It was almost like a grass typed Blastoise." he said, describing the Pokemon he had seen.
"Did it have the..." Red signed a word that Hibiki couldn't make out, to be honest when Red got into signing, it was hard for him to keep up. Sometimes he felt a little dumb talking to him. He had tried talking to Red strictly in sign language once, but Red told him that it was better for him to just speak and interpret.
"What was that one word? The one that looked like this." Hibiki tried to copy his motions, a little ineffectively but Red knew what he was saying.
"Cannon." he spelled out, before repeating the sentence, "Did it have the cannons and everything?" he asked.
Hibiki laughed a little, "No, it had a huge tree on its back, and it walked on all fours. It looked awesome. Here let me show you." he pulled out his Pokedex. Thankfully, Professor Elm had upgraded him to the national dex recently, that way he could store in for for Pokemon that weren't from Kanto or Johto as well.
He pulled up the beast of a Pokemon, Red looking on in awe. To get a close look, the older boy leaned into Hibiki a little, making the boy flinch.
He didn't want to agree with the girls at the mountain base, but Red kind of was handsome person. He had crimson eyes that brimmed with wonder as he looked at the new Pokemon, and pale skin from being on the mountain so long.
And when he signed, he looked so at peace, he wondered how such a cold faced person had manage to melt his heart.
Hibiki knew that Red had trouble emoting, but when he spoke, the younger male could feel the emotion behind his words.
"Pretty cool. Think it could stand up to my Venusaur?" Red smirked a little. He was still the undefeated champion of Kanto. No one could top him. Hibiki had tried himself, but try as he might, he still couldn't manage to get anywhere close to getting a win, despite being a champion himself.
"Say Red, can I ask you a question?" Hibiki asked, setting the now sleeping Pikachu to the side, sliding a small blanket from his bag over it.
"Of course. Ask away." he said, his face unchanging.
"What kind of people come to challenge you these days?" Hibiki felt a little bad, but he wanted to know how Red felt about the women who came up here, seemingly to 'claim his heart'.
"A couple hard headed trainers, sometimes some really strong trainers aiming to be champion, and occasionally some overconfident fangirls, who think that if they win the battle, they can win me too." Red looked annoyed, poking at the fire again, and then directing attention back to Hibiki, "Why? Jealous you don't have fangirls?" he signed.
Hibiki hated to think about it, but he was kind of jealous. Not of the fact that Red had fangirls and he didn't, but the fact that they were confident enough to tell Red how they felt. Unlike himself.
Hibiki shook his head, "Nah, they seem like they'd get annoying pretty quick." he chuckled.
"Yeah, that's the truth." Red grabbed another poffin out of the boy's bag, eating it in another swift bite.
Hibiki felt petty, getting jealous like this. They had every bit of right that he had to try for Red's affection, but he couldn't help the nagging feeling he had in his heart that he knew the real Red, they didn't.
Red deserved better than any of them, including Hibiki himself.
"Hey... Uh... Do I ever annoy you?" Hibiki asked, he came up here more often than those girls did, and he stayed longer too. Maybe Hibiki was looking at this wrong. Maybe he was the burden, not them. Maybe Red wanted to be left alone.
"Of course not." he started and Hibiki sighed in releif, "It's true that I like the solitude and isolation up on this mountain, but I like it when you visit too. Even I get lonely, you know." he said, and Hibiki's heart fluttered.
He leaned over and hugged the taller boy to him, burying his face in his chest, "Thanks Red." he said letting go of the older male.
"Your welcome." Red managed to sign in a daze, making Hibiki laugh.
Red shot him a large warm smile and he felt his heart stop, Red's signs almost seemed to travel in slow motion.
"It's because I love you, Hibiki." he signed, and Hibiki realized that there was never a reason to be jealous to begin with.

The Legendary Rebuilding of a World by a Realist Demon King
In a rotted away castle, Ashta awoke as a Demon King. With his ‘wisdom from a past life,’ he would rule over his lands as a thorough ‘realist.’ “Demon King, why are you attacking the level 1 Heroes?” “Defeat them before they become stronger. That is called strategy.” “Demon King, why are you sending fake money to the enemy country?” “To bring chaos to their economy so they will self-destruct.” “The werewolf troops have attacked. Should we use silver bullets?” “Not bullets, shoot them with canons.” And like that, Ashta ‘reformed’ the old tendencies. He became a lord who was loved by the people and his subordinates and would go on to be called the most powerful Demon King in history.
8 839Crucible - A Lost Dungeons Tale
All stories must begin somewhere, this one starts with the creation of the universe. What follows is a tale of chaos and order, of gods and monsters, of creation and destruction. The birth of a universe is a tumultuous journey, different entities working with opposing ideals, cooperation giving way to frustration and jealousy. It is in that dangerous concoction of emotions that the god of monsters created the first dungeon core. Forged in a crucible of dedication and desire, the first core held potential, the likes of which could surpass even the civilised mortal races. Unfortunately it was not meant to be, the core was lost in a tragic accident and its creator thought it to have been destroyed. Over one-thousand years later, the core reformed inside an extinct volcano. In time it would grow enough to learn and learn enough to grow. This is the story of the first dungeon core. Crucible, the lost dungeon core. Note: Story updates every hiatus*. *I appologise for the delay.
