One second was enough for JJ to grab the knife of her kidnapper and to push it in his stomach. He let go of her wrists and stumbled back, pressing his hand on the bloody wound.

As he looked down JJ grabbed his head and broke his neck in one quick movement. She cut the ropes around Reid's wrists. "Good job" he said and grabbed the gun of the man on the ground.

They didn't know how long they were in this dark little room. They kidnapped them to get informations about some important cases about the national security.

Reid's face was full of anger, for hours he had to watch them hitting JJ, trying to get the information out of him. Several times they tortured her and he had to watch. And always she said she was okay.

Seeing her suffer was the most horrible thing.

She looked much worse then he did. A bloody cut down her cheek, swollen eye and blood running down her nose and lips.

They hit her in the stomach what forced her to cough blood. Her cheek bone and her jaw was bruised.

He only had a bruise in the face.

"Stay behind me" he told JJ as he pointed the gun in the dark. JJ nodded, staying close behind him her hand wrapped around the knife.

He pointed the gun around the corner and continued walking.

He heard JJ gasp and turned around worried. She leaned against the wall. He could see pain in her face.

"you okay?" he asked her and put his hand on her cheek. "yeah I'm fine" she answered. They continued they way through the corridors. Until JJ broke down behind Reid.

"JJ!" he said and kneeled down behind her. "Hey look at me. Look at me" he said in a calm voice and placed his hands on her cheeks. JJ blinked a few times and looked at him with her deep blue eyes. She put her hand above his.

"We will get out of here" he promised her and she weakly nodded. He reached around her waist and under her knees and carefully lifted her from the ground.

She struggled to keep her eyes open as she rested her head against Reid's chest.

After hours they reached a door. Reid blinked in the sunlight. Paramedics ran over to him taking JJ away from him and looking at him.

Reid climbed in the back of the ambulance. "Hey" he said softly and took her hand. JJ gave him a little, exhausted smile. He gently pushed her blonde hair away from her face and brushed his hand over her cheek. She leaned into his hand and put her own over his.

"I'm so sorry..." he started to apologize but she cut him off. "Reid, it's not your fault they chose me"she said softly.

He placed a kiss on her forehead.

" I love you, you know that right" he said.

"I love you too" she said and gave him him a weak smile.
