《What's Really Hood》TWO

"Siri, the closest Starbucks." I commanded a bit curious sipping on my almost done caramel frappachino.
"The nearest matching place is named Starbucks on Metropolitan ave, 2.8 miles to your north."
Of course, no Starbucks anywhere near this neighborhood.
I grumbled jogging up my front porch unlocking my front door. I got in my house warming my hands up with my breath, kicking my Ugg boots off and setting my food on the living room coffee table. I headed over to the kitchen to get me a beverage and headed back in the living room getting comfortable and pigging out on that Chinese food. Didn't change my clothes or anything.
And then all of a sudden my thoughts reverted back to that boy. Chris. His vibe is just like, I don't even know. Usually I get vibes from people, Chyna, she give off good vibes. She remind me of T-boz from tlc. She's calm and relaxing, Michael too, he give off good vibes, goofy vibes. Kae? She lets off bad vibes, she's a trouble maker, I already don't like her. But lastly Chris, I can't read him. He entices and intrigue me, I don't even know the dude. It's too early for this, no boys Trin! You promised daddy, and he don't even seem interested what so ever.
I sighed finishing up my food and laying back channel surfing through the guide.
After about 10 minutes I just gave up and went on Netflix on my fathers ps4, he shouldn't mind.
'''
My eyes flickered open and I was facing a cream colored wall. How'd I get in my room?
I laid there for a minute not moving, but searching for my phone wailing my arms all about trying to get a feel for it. I caught it right before it almost slipped between the head board.
My phone was dryer than Russy Simmons lips and the only thing that welcomed me was my 20% battery warning. After it's been a week since we moved, none of my friends really text and call me like they promised. I sighed knowing I have to get up and look for my charger, and knowing it fell behind the bed, so instead I got up and put my phone on my dock and started playing music, that one song China and the rest were listening to; Hot Nigga. It's stupid, and I don't get what he's talking about but it's catchy.
I cringed at how alike my mother and I are. My dad would fit more in this urban area, I think he's pretty happy that we're in New York. After all he was born and raised here.
I gathered my towel that was hanging on the back of my closet door and went to take a shower. I don't know what I'm going to do today, but I gotta do something.
I entered my bathroom leaving the door open so I can hear the music playing as I took a nice hot shower.
'''
"I didn't know today was your off day." I said walking down the steps watching my father on his Mac

"I'm going in late today." He said not taking his eyes off the laptop
"Any specific reason?" I asked
"Nah."
I walked over to him and sat next to him on the couch looking at the blank television set. I groaned throwing my bed back and then resting it on his shoulder.
"This is the most ever I seen you bored and in the house."
I looked up at him giving him a blank look "I have no friends daddy." I stated
"That's gonna change Monday. Got you enrolled in a school." He said closing his laptop and propping his feet on the coffee table
I jumped up "Already!?"
Today is Thursday
He chuckled "What do you mean already? You've had almost 2 weeks off from school. Time to go back."
"What school?"
"Hillcrest. Not that far from here, just one bus and a little walking."
"Oh my god no." I said to myself slumping in my seat
He looked at me like I was crazy and I rolled my eyes. He doesn't understand.
"I need to go school shopping." I looked at him getting up from my seat
He also got up with an annoyed look on his face "You have enough clothes already Trinity. We can't afford buying your type of clothes for school." I watched him as he walked away towards the kitchen
I of course followed.
He went to go open the fridge knowing it's empty but he still checks it like food magically will appear.
I stood right behind him frightening him when he turned around
"Damn Trinity." He said kissing his teeth
My father is pretty young, he's 41 and got my mother pregnant when he was 22. He's a good looking man. Brown skin, medium brown eyes, tall, and suitable facial hair, with a slight tape up haircut.
"Aight, you're obviously bored, so why don't you go food shopping? There's a FoodWorld less than two blocks away." He gave me some cash. "There's no food in this damn house." He mumbled picking up an apple from the kitchen table and walking out
"Why can't I take your car!?" I called after him
"I'm working in a few." He answered "Dress warm!"
I threw a fit in the middle of the kitchen, punching and kicking the air.
After a few minutes I cleared my throat, smoothed out my shirt, and headed upstairs to my room.
'''
I slipped on my brown ugg boots and skipped down the steps. My father Mac was gone and so was he. I sighed and grabbed my wallet, the money my father left and my keys heading out and closing the door behind me. Before I walked down the porch steps I took my phone out
"Siri, where is FoodWorld supermarket?" I waited for a second looking around
"I found two matching places in the area."
I saw the one daddy was talking about so I started walking down the block in the middle of the street. Halfway down the block I saw the guys sitting on the steps.

It wasn't that cold though, I have on a parka.
"Gabrielle!" Was what I heard before I even passed the house.
I rolled my eyes and stopped in the middle of the street glaring at Michael.
They all started laughing and walked over to me. Including Chris slowly trailing behind. I looked directly at him but he hasn't looked in my direction, too busy staring down at his phone.
"Where you going?" Chyna asked
She's so adorable. She smiled at me.
"FoodWorld." I said simply
"We'll come with you."
I looked at Michael like he had three heads. So did Kae and Chris "What?" I asked
"Yeah we could help you with your bags. You don't even got a car." Chyna chimed in
"I truly appreciate-"
"Nah, nah, nah." Michael said interrupting me mid rejecting their offer politely "We ain't got nothing to do anyway."
"Yall with it?" Chyna asked the other two wrapping her arm around Michael's torso
I looked at them both and Kae just kept mugging me, and Chris shrugged still on his phone. I blew a raspberry and continued to walk down the block, they all eventually followed talking amongst themselves. Even Chris, he got off the phone and started chatting it up.
What is his problem?
'''
We strolled up to the supermarket and I grabbed a shopping cart entering. I literally felt my skin defrosting and was able to feel my fingers again from the heat provided by the supermarket hitting me. The first thing that I picked up was these fruit salads in a container. I strolled over and saw a collection of Naked juice and I started wracking my brain on which to choose.
I suddenly started to get that feeling that someone was staring at the side of my face. I turned to my left and saw Michael. He then laughed at me and walked away, Chyna and Kae followed.
Chris remained there with a stupid look on his face. I got slightly annoyed, and started to stare at him, he stared back.
"You know if you didn't want to come, you really didn't have to." I said folding my arms
He just stood there giving me this look. I began to feel intimidated and wanting to hide my face in my infinity scarf forever.
I slowly turned around and walked away pushing the cart, I heard him walking behind me.
This is so weird, it's not even funny. Why did he even decided to stay with me anyway.
"So." I said and kept pushing the cart
He didn't say anything and I rolled my eyes and pushed the cart fast to the next aisle leaving him.
I saw Chyna and Michael arguing over what cereal to get. I cooed to myself and watched them, I see it in their eyes. They seem great together.
"Just pick up some Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Lucky Charms and call it a day." I said pointing at the box cereals
"What!?" Michael exclaimed
"What's the matter?" I asked confused knitting my eyebrows looking at the cereals
"It's Cinnamon Toasters and Marshmallows Matey's sweetie." Kae popped up in the aisle picking up these generic cereals in a bag
The Marshmallow Matey's she was holding has completely different marshmallows then Lucky Charms and the actual cereal itself is shaped like an anchor.
"What are those?" I squinted my eyes at the white and red cereal bags Kae was dangling in her hands
"The struggle, baby." She said sashaying out the cereal and snacks aisle
I watched her until she was halfway down the aisle and then started to pick up some cereal for daddy and I. I really can't with this girl. Can she like, not?
After finding all the things I really needed, and can carry with the help of Michael and Chyna I began to get checked out.
"Your total is $145.87." The Indian cashier looked at me
Her eyes widened when I pulled out the cash from my jacket pocket and so did the others. Kae knitted her eyebrows at my hands then at Chyna.
I gave the cashier three 50s as the guy at the end of the conveyer belt began to bag my groceries. She checked the money if it was real and I wanted to hop over the conveyer belt and just slap her.
"Your change is $4.13." She said snatching the receipt and giving my my change
I put the loose change in the tip container and started loading my hands with bags ready for the trip home.
Surprisingly everyone grabbed a bag and we all trooped out the supermarket.
'''
I sighed in relief as I walked up my porch steps and set the four bags right next to the door. I opened the door and let everyone in and I closed the door behind me, not forgetting my bags. I hurried up and took my jacket off emptying out my pockets on the coffee table.
I made my way to the kitchen and paused for a bit when I saw the groceries packed on the table and the gang all crowded around it having conversations.
"Umm." I said setting the groceries down and getting their attention
"Aye you got something to drink?" Michael asked
"Yeah, you do owe us." Kae added
I directed my eyes on her. She's really annoying me
"No one told you to help thou-"
"It's okay Trinity." Chyna interrupted alarmed getting up from her seat "See you later." She smiled touching my shoulder and walking out
Everyone else did and Kae shoulder bumped me. After hearing the door slam knowing it was her that slammed the door, I sighed taking the groceries out of the plastic bag and went to put them up.

World Master
Hey! I once lived on your world back in 2056. But that was a long time ago and there’s probably no records of my existence. Or, maybe, I haven’t even been born yet… …I’m still figuring out of the timelines correspond. Anyways, I was or will be, or whatever you want to call it (maybe I am?), John Pitcher, a resident at St. Jude’s Hospital for the Mentally Ill. I was a computer programmer and my parents had me admitted there because I was convinced that I had been contacted by Set, the Egyptian god of chaos, about creating a world. Well, apparently, I’m something akin to the great times a hundred grandson of over 10 000 gods, and they didn’t want me to live an ordinary, dull life (well, except for the god of normalcy, but he doesn’t count). Set gave me three years to prepare myself. This begins right at the end of those three years. [participant in the NaNoWriMo Royal Road challenge] I originally had this as part of the prologue, then I realized that it made a better synopsis. Please note: this might seem a bit clunky because I haven't done a lot of writing, and this is supposed to be a kind of prequel to another story that I plan on doing in the future. I will not be fully explaining everything but instead will be explaining things in that other story. This is mainly to help fill in the lore of the world so that people will have at least a basic idea of how things function. Regardless of that, that story won't be written for at least another year, so deal with it. Note: I am using ideas from several different authors in order to make sure that this can be a proper story. You may or may not recognize where I got them. I am not writing a Fanfiction and do not claim these as my own. I will add to a list of titles below as I find myself using those ideas. World Keeper (obviously) The Wandering Inn The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound (not yet, but eventually) A bunch of others that I haven't thought of yet
