《What's Really Hood》THREE

After packing away all the groceries, I opened the brand new package of Gushers I brought, and started to eat a pack. I then heard my father come in. He sighed loudly and plopped on the couch.
I walked over to the arch that separates the kitchen from the living room and leaned on it smirking.
He looked at me "What are you smirking at? Witcho creep ass."
"Ew daddy don't speak like that." I popped another Gusher in my mouth
He lowered his eyes at me, he looked tired.
"The New York life too much for you huh?" My smirk grew "Maybe if we moved bac-"
"You went grocery shopping like I asked?" He asked cutting me off taking out his Mac
I rolled my eyes and walked over to him giving him the four dollars I was planning to keep and the receipt from my jeans pocket.
He looked at his hand then at me like somebody got him fucked up "Four dollars?"
"Why are you making your face up like that?"
"Girl where the rest of my money at, I gave you two hundred dollars."
I took the receipt from him and began to examine it "Well the total was $145.87 and I remember I gave the lady three fifties. My change was $4.13 and I gave them the loose change." I said looking up at him
He busted out laughing "You gave them thirteen cents? What the hell they gonna do with that, buy a half of a sweetish fish?"
I kissed my teeth. Daddy please grow up.
"Aight, aight, aight." He said recovering from his little laugh fest "So where the fifty dollars at?"
I turned around facing the coffee table "The money I didn't spend should be on the coffee tab-" It wasn't there
"So..." I turned around facing him "My money grew legs and dipped is what you're telling me."
I tried to think back all the way up to leaving the grocery store. I kept the money I didn't spend in my jacket pocket and put the four dollars in my jeans pocket. Did I go in my pockets and then the money fell out without me knowing?

I remember sighing in relief as I walked up the porch steps and set the four bags right next to the door. I opened the door and let everyone in and I closed the door behind me, not forgetting to carry in the bags. I hurried up and took my jacket off emptying out my pockets on the coffee table.
I looked back over to the coffee table
"You had friends over or something?" I heard my father ask
I was too concentrated on the coffee table "No."
One of them took the money.
"I'm sorry Daddy, I must've dropped the money on the way home." I said looking at him "I'll pay you back somehow." I said quietly kissing him and going up to my room
I closed my room door behind me and I started pacing around. Saying I'm pissed off would be an understatement.
How dare they! I don't even know them that well to pin point who did it.
I looked at my cable box and it read 3:36 in bold neon green numbers.
I took my fully charged phone from
off of the dock and saw I got a text from Jasmine. I left it for now.
I went over to my body length mirror and put my hair in a high ponytail. I grabbed my earmuffs and headed out the room, down the stairs.
"I'll be back." I said grabbing the jacket next to him slipping it on
"Be safe." He said typing on his laptop
"Mhmm." I took up the keys and headed out the front door.

None of them were outside so I walked up the steps and pressed the doorbell. It didn't make a noise and the bell light wasn't glowing. Oh my god.
I opened the grill door with the tattered mesh and began to knock on the wooden door. While waiting, I stepped back and took the initiative to look around. The yard was full of dead weeds and the paint on the stairs was chipped. Shingles were loose and the mailbox was missing a screw so it was dangling.

A few moments later no one came to the door so I began to knock harder.
The door then swung open and I almost fell in the doorway.
"Oh, hey Trinity. What you doing here?" Chyna's pretty face came in view
"Come in." She opened the door wider and I stepped in the warm house
"Thanks." I said softly looking around, the house looks better from inside "I came here to talk to y'all. Everyone's here?"
"That's Mrs. Union at the do'?" I heard Michael ask
I could just imagine him doing the little head tilt thing too.
Chyna chuckled and closed the door behind me "Yeah, everyone's here. Lemme round them up." She said to me walking away
I slowly followed her into what looks like their living room. The tv looked mighty impressive. I bet they stole that too 😴.
"Guys, Trinity here!" Chyna yelled up the stairs
Michael then came out of no where all up in my face. "Wassup guh?"
He had what it look like milk all over his mouth and cereal residue.
"You got a little somethin'." I said brushing my mouth telling him to do the same
He looked confused until he started to wipe his mouth "Oh." Was all he said and walked away continuing to watch tv and eat
"What are you doing here?" I heard Kae say as she walked down the steps
Her hair was a mess. She snatched the cereal box from Michael and began to eat out of it. I looked at her then at the cereal box. Weird.
Chris then came down the stairs pulling up his saggy pants and tightening his belt. Oh.
"I thought it's Cinnamon Toasters and Marshmallow Matey's. What happened?" I asked mocking her from earlier in the grocery store referring to the Lucky Charms box she was eating out of, and might I add is very unsanitary.
I was now standing in front of all four of them as they watched me. Kae especially giving me an intense glare.
"So waddup?" Michael said chewing obnoxiously
Chyna slapped the back of his head and
Chris took the box from Kae and started eating out of it too.
"After coming from the grocery store, fifty dollars ended up missing and I wanted to know if any of y'all took it, and if you did I'd like to have it back."
Kae stifled a laugh "What even is fifty dollars to you?"
And from that point on I knew Kae was the one that took it.
"What is that supposed to mean? Money is mon-"
"Why you so sure one of us took your stank ass money!?" She started to get all defensive and loud
"I'm pretty sure you're the one who took it, considering you're the only one carrying about. Calm down hunny, do some woo saa's and take it down a few octaves." My voice remained the same and she got more rowdy and began to get up from her seat
Chris was holding her down by her waist and I stood there examining my nails. I need a manicure.
"Oh, you're a brave ass bitch coming in this house accusing us of taking your money! You got me fucked up!"
"Kae relax man!" Michael yelled helping Chris contain Kae inhumane ways
Chyna looked hurt "Um Trinity, I think you should leave." She said softly getting up from her spot
I nodded understanding letting her escort me out the living room to the front door.
She opened the door for me and I walked outside "Hey Chyna,-"
The door slammed
"Y'all Should've let me beat her ol' 'my shit don't stink' ass!" I heard Kae's muffled voice
I sighed and started to walk up the block. I know for a fact she took the money. One minute she's talking about 'Cinnamon Toasters' and 'Marshmallow Matey's' and then the next she's eating out of a Lucky Charms box like a savage. Please.

The Gods and Goddesses’ mortal creations: Humans, High Elves, Amanis, Barakas, Castanics, Elins, and Poporis were blinded by their own nature and desires for centuries. Except, when all hope had been extinguished and all possible solutions were swept away by the hands of darkness… ...An unknown black-haired magician bestowed another chance to this realm overwhelmed by the darkness, by turning back the hands of time. In The Maw Of The Gods
Synopsis Lilly Harper was always the type to keep to herself. She struggled to make friendships and so, she simply opted not to. That was why moving to the coastal town of Wilham didn’t bother her. She wasn’t leaving anybody behind and she certainly didn’t expect to be making any friends any time soon. However, when she starts hearing about the school’s “Magic Club”—a group of weirdos who claim that magic is real, she can’t deny that she’s slightly intrigued. Then without warning, she suddenly finds herself wrapped up with them. And what if they aren’t crazy? What if magic is actually real? And what if it’s because of that magic that something more powerful than they could ever conceive of is drawn to Wilham? I plan to follow a release schedule of Tuesday/Friday. Average chapter length will be 4,000 to 6,000 words and I will be using multiple POV's quite often. Also to note, while I am flagging the story with content warnings, I am only doing so because there are specific moments where it will be needed. Overall, the story will be relatively tame and I plan to put extra warnings at the beginning of chapters that it applies to. Thank you to everybody who decides to give my story a chance and I hope you enjoy it!
