"Short stacks, wake up." I heard Jason's voice. I slowly opened my eyes.

"What is it?" I said still drowsy. "It's almost 5 pm you know." He said.

"I slept for so long?!" I said and got up. Felix was already up and was copying some steps shown on TV. I raised an eyebrow.

"What are you doing Felix?" I asked. "Exercising! Join me Mama!" He said. "Of course!" I said and we began stretching and dancing together.

"Jas are gonna join us?" I asked. "And let my pride go down the drain? No thanks. I'm good." He said. I frowned.

We did this for another 45 minutes. "That was fun!" I said. "Right?" Felix said. I nodded.

"But I need a bath now. I'll take a quick shower and come." I said and went upstairs.

Okay quick shower meaning I'll take half an hour. I think I should wear my pj's since I won't be going out now anyway. I wore blue pj's with bunny designs. My hair was still wet.

What?! The hair dryer is not working?! Damn! I used a towel to dry my hair as much as I could. I went downstairs to find Jason teaching Felix some defense moves.

"Why's your hair still wet?" Jason asked. So quick!

"T - the dryer broke. I mean it's not working!" I said.

"You'll catch a cold if your hair is still wet Mama." Felix said grinning.

"Oh yeah? Come here you! Using my words against me!" I said and caught him and tickled him endlessly.

"S - sorry! Stop!" He said and I stopped.

"Child harassment." Jason muttered. I turned towards him sharply.

"What was that?" I asked. "Oh nothing you should concern yourself with." He said. I narrowed my eyes.

"And come here I'll dry your hair." He said and I sat down while he did his work.

Finally it's time to sleep! I'm exhausted today. Didn't know it took so much energy when taking care of a child. But there's nothing in between me and my sleep. Oh wait there is. There's only one bed! Felix had already gone into his room and Jason had gone into ours.

I went inside ours to find Jas on the bed in complete black pj's and his earphones on, eyes closed. I gulped.

"What are you standing there for?" He spoke.

"Don't do that! It creeps me out! And aren't you at least a bit worried that there's only one bed in the room?!" I blurted out. He smirked.

"I don't mind sleeping with you short stacks." He said. I blushed.

"But I do!" I said. "You should be used to it. I already slept with you once. And I don't bite." He said. The cat time!

"Sleep on the sofa!" I said. "Why should I?" He asked. "Cuz I'm not gonna sleep with some other guy. What will my future husband think?" I said.

Normal POV

"Then you sleep on the sofa. And only an idiot is gonna fall for you." Jason said.

And I'm an idiot. He thought.

"How rude! You could at least act like a gentleman once!" Lucy said. The door slowly opened and Felix peeked in.

"What's wrong Felix?" Lucy asked. "I can't sleep. Can I sleep with Mama and Papa?" He asked. Lucy bit her lower lip.

"O - of course you can. Come on." Lucy said. She saw Jason smirking. She huffed.

Felix made himself comfortable in the middle. Lucy came in later and slept beside him.

"Mama?"

"Yeah?" Lucy opened one eye.

"Aren't you gonna kiss Papa goodnight?"

Lucy started coughing at that. "W - What?" She asked. "Kiss Papa goodnight!" Felix insisted. Lucy gulped. She leaned in a bit to kiss Jason on the cheek.

"Just do it short stacks. How har-" He turned just when Lucy's lips were about to reach his cheek and she ended up giving him a peck on the lips.

She blushed and buried her head under the pillow. "Why's Mama red?" Felix asked.

"It's nothing. Just go to sleep." Jason said. Felix puffed out his cheeks.

"Mama hug me!" He said. Lucy slowly wrapped her arms around him and brought him closer to her.

"Papa you come too!" He said. Lucy froze. Jason slowly put his arm around Lucy's waist and pulled them close to him. Lucy relaxed in his arms.

"Papa's warm. Mmm." Felix said and went off to sleep. Lucy's eyelids grew heavy too. "Just go to sleep. You're exhausted." Jason said and kissed her on her forehead.

"This kid is so demanding isn't he?" She said. "Yeah. But I wouldn't want any other." Jason said and smiled a bit. Lucy smiled.

"True. He's one of a kind. Good night." She said and let herself fall into deep slumber.

Jason shortly fell asleep too.

Morning came and Jason was the first to get up. He took his time in admiring every inch of Lucy's face. He caressed her cheek softly but brought back his hand when she stirred in her sleep a bit.

"Mmm. No...I can't eat anymore.." She whispered in her sleep. Jason let out a dry laugh.

She thinks about food even in her sleep! He thought.

But his eyes widened when he saw a tear roll down her cheek.

"Mama....I'm sorry...I wasn't strong enough to...save you...I miss you...." She muttered. Jason slowly brushed away the tears. That woke her up.

"Oh...uh....good morning." She said.

"Morning." Jason said.

"I'm gonna have a bath and then I'll make breakfast." She said getting off the bed and tying her hair in a bun. She took her towel and clothes and went into the bathroom. Meanwhile Felix woke up. He stretched himself and then sat up, rubbing his eyes with his small fists.

"Good morning Papa! Where's Mama?" He said. "Morning. She just went to have a bath." Jason said.

"Papa?"

"Hmm?"

"Ahhh....that felt good! Jas you can go in next! Jas? Felix?" Lucy called out but there was no one in the room. She went downstairs with her hair still up. She turned white as sheet at what she saw.

"Mama! Look! Papa made breakfast for you!" Felix said and dragged Lucy inside the kitchen. And what Jason had prepared was a simple omelette which DIDNT look edible at all.

"Felix why don't you go and have a bath and brush your teeth?" Lucy said sweetly.

"Okay." He said and went upstairs. Lucy turned to Jason with a smile. A dark aura surrounded her. Jason looked at her nervously.

"I know the kitchen's a bit messy but.." He started. "A bit messy? Just look at what you did! This place looks like it hasn't been cleaned for the past 10 years after using it!! It's a HUGE mess!!" Lucy bursted. She took a deep breath. She gave him a deadly glare and pointed outside.

"Get out." Those two words told Jason to never try cooking ever again unless he wants to be skinned alive. He quietly stepped outside and let Lucy do her work.

An hour later Lucy was finally done cleaning the kitchen and cooking up a meal.

"Today's breakfast is only sandwiches, boiled eggs, salad, fruits and toast. Eat whatever you want." Lucy said and began her meal along with the boys.

"Mama are you angry?" Felix asked softly. "What? No! Why would I be angry at you?" She said and hugged him. He hugged her back.

"I'm angry at a certain someone who you call Papa." She said glaring at Jason. "I wonder who that person is. I pity him." Jason said looking away.

"Aww do you?" Lucy asked pissed off but kept her cool.

Felix, understanding the atmosphere quickly changed the subject.

"Mama feed me!" He said. Lucy then brought her attention to him. Thanks Felix. Jason mentally thanked Felix. Felix smiled knowingly. Jason smiled too.

After breakfast while Lucy was washing the dishes, Jason came and hugged her from behind.

"Don't even try Jason. I'm still pissed at you. I mean did you know how hard it was for me to clea-" She was cut off when he spun her around to face him. He pushed his forehead against hers letting their noses touch. Lucy blushed at the closeness.

"Sorry. But I had to." He said. "You had to what? Destroy the kitchen?" Lucy asked sarcastically.

"No stupid. Today morning when Felix woke up he asked why we both weren't being lovey dovey and I said that you're shy so we don't kiss a lot so he suggested that I cook breakfast for you and I couldn't say no and that brought us to today morning's chaos." Jason said in one breath.

"Oh." Was all Lucy said.

"That's all you're gonna say?" Jason asked. She just stared at him.

"Ah. Forget it." He said and turned to leave but was stopped when Lucy held the end of his shirt. "Well...I'm sorry too. I went too far I guess." She said looking down.

"Hmm." He said and turned again. His eyes widened when he felt something warm on his cheek.

"And the omelette wasn't bad. It was actually edible." She said and went towards the stairs.

"Felix! You wanna go to the park?" She asked. "Yeah! I'm coming." Felix said. Lucy stole a glance at Jason. Jason stood there with the back of his hand covering his mouth and his ears red. This made her face burn up too.

"Mama? Do you have a fever? You're red." Felix said. "I'm fine. Don't worry. Are you ready to go? Where's your jacket?" Lucy asked.

"Here it is!" He said and wore his brown jacket. Lucy too wore her light brown coat and let her hair down. She helped Felix wear his gloves and then she wore hers.

"There! You're all warm now. Let's go?" Lucy asked.

"Papa aren't you coming?" Felix asked. "Uh..I'll come later. Go ahead." Jason said wanting to sort his thoughts a bit.

"Okay we'll be in the garden nearby." Lucy said not looking at him. He nodded. They both waved goodbye and left the house.

Jason slumped down on the couch. "What the hell is going on with me? Do I love her that much that I even was ready to make a meal for her? Which I've never done my entire life? Should I tell her?" Jason said to himself. He ruffled his spiky hair.

"She does seem to like me back. She did respond to my kiss. But people can do that on impulse too. But should I let her in? I don't want her to see the world I see almost every night. Filled with blood, dead bodies, violence and darkness. Ugh! F***!!" Jason yelled angrily. He sighed.

Lucy held Felix's hand as they walked to the garden. There was snow everywhere. They saw all their friends at the garden with their children.

"Lucy! Here!" Levy called out. Lucy smiled and walked over while Felix at her side.

"Hey bunny girl, where's Ash - brain?" Griffin asked.

"He said he'll come later." Lucy said. "Felix come and play with all of us!" Levy and Griffin's adopted daughter, Aubrey said. Felix turned his face the other side.

"No." He said. Lucy frowned. "Felix why don't you go and play with them?" Lucy asked.

"But I like playing with only you and Papa!" He said. Lucy squatted down to his level.

"Have you tried playing with them?" She asked. "No." He said.

"Then how do you know if you'd enjoy playing with them or not? At first you didn't like playing with me but once we started you had fun right?" She asked. He slowly nodded.

"So...?" Lucy asked. "I'll play with them. But if I get bored then you're playing with me!" He said. She smiled smiled and nodded.

She watched as Felix went with Aubrey and they started playing with the other kids. "I never knew you could be so motherly Lucy." Kelly said. Lucy blushed.

"That...uh..It just came out." She said.

They all were talking when suddenly a snowball hit Lucy. She saw that it was Felix who threw it. He was grinning. Lucy smirked. She made a snowball and threw it at him. That started a snowball fight and everybody joined in.

Jason reached the garden and saw them all having a snowball fight. He stood outside and just watched them. He was still contemplating on staying close to Lucy or not.

"Papa!"

"Jas!"

He suddenly felt the weight of two bodies on him. Lucy and Felix had latched themselves onto him. Their cheeks were pink due to the cold but they had huge smiles on their faces.

He went a bit off balance but managed to hold their weight.

"You took so long Papa!" Felix said. Lucy nodded.

"We almost thought you wouldn't come. Good you came or you would be missin-" Lucy cut herself off when Jason pulled her and Felix into a big bear hug.

"I wouldn't exchange this for anything else." He whispered and smiled at them broadly. Felix smiled too. Lucy blushed seeing him smile so brightly but she smiled nonetheless.

"What a miracle...Jason is smiling..." Ben said not believing his eyes. The others stared too. They were snapped out off their thoughts when Ben was hit in the face with a snowball.

"Oww! Who?!" He said. He saw Lucy laughing and Jason beside her grinning with a snowball in hand.

"You- you're gonna get it!" Ben said and a snowball fight began between the guys.

Lucy's POV

I laughed so hard that my stomach hurt and there were tears in my eyes.

"Lucy Heartfilia! I'm not going to let you cling to MY dear Jason, you bitch!" Gabrielle came out of nowhere. I groaned. I have to deal with her again? And when I was having so much fun.

"Are you referring to yourself?" I asked.

"Shut up! I bet I can defeat you at a snowball fight! And then you'll be at my feet begging for forgiveness and pleading Jason to be with you but he's so damn happy with the beautiful me that he doesn't even see you...." She ranted on on and on.

"Oh shut the f*** up! And it's on like donkey kong. Let's go, horse face." I said. She glared. We all know who's going to win anyway.

"I lost. I can't believe it. You cheated!" Gabrielle accused me. "No I didn't. I played fair and square. Not my fault you lost. Wasn't somebody saying big things before this game started?" I asked smirking. She was red in anger. I snorted.

She got up and pushed me. I went backwards a bit and was about to get my balance back when I tripped on a small rock and fell into the nearby lake. Freezing cold lake! And I didn't know how to swim! I flapped my hands around in an attempt to rise up but didn't succeed.

I felt something warm grab my hand and pull me up. When I was out I coughed out water and took in deep breaths. "What the hell short stacks?! Why go for a swim when you don't even know how to swim?! In the freezing cold!!" Jas yelled.

Apparently he was the one who saved me from drowning. I tried glaring at him.

"S - S - S - Stupid! G - Gabrielle pushed me a - and I fell in. I have no plans of k - k - killing myself." I said, my teeth chattering due to the cold. Great. My clothes are completely wet and I'm gonna die freezing here.

Jas sighed and pulled me to his chest. So warm. I put my arms around his torso. I felt my clothes and hair drying up slightly. I feel good now. He pulled back and took my hands in his.

"You lost your gloves?" He asked. I did. They must've fallen into the lake. I shrugged.

"They're ice cold." He said and interwined our fingers. I blushed and looked down so he won't see it.

"Mama are you alright?" Felix asked. I smiled at him. "Don't worry. Papa saved me from freezing." I said.

"Then why don't you give Papa a kiss as a reward?" He suggested. I blushed again. Kiss him?! In front of everyone?!

"Ya Lucy. The guy deserves it." Fred said. "Come on Lucy!" Lisa said. "Do it bunny girl." Griffin said.

"Whoa. Am I seeing things or do I really see the great Jason Hooke blushing?" Ben asked. I looked up to see Jason's ears red. This kind of embarrassed me more.

"Mama! Do it!" Felix insisted. "Listen to your child Lucy!" Levy too!

"Hey! Help me out here!" I whispered to Jason. He smirked. "Sorry. You're on your own." He said. I glared at him.

"Of course she won't be able to kiss him. She's never done it before! She still has her first kiss with her! It'll take her 100 more years before she can kiss Jason." Gabrielle said and cackled. I frowned and narrowed my eyes at her.

"My first kiss is already been taken and I can easily kiss Jason!" I yelled.

"Really? Well who took YOUR first kiss?" She asked smirking.

"He did!" I yelled and pointed at Jason without thinking. When I realised what I did I blushed a thousand shades of red.

"That's not true at all! Kiss him now and prove it!" She said. She still can't admit defeat?! Fine then! I grabbed Jason's collar and crashed my lips against his.

Our lips moved in rhythm. I could hear everyone hooting.

'Way to go Lucy!'

'It's getting hot out here!'

'There are children here you know.'

That comment made me stop. I looked into Jason's eyes and saw them glazed with....love?

"NO WAY IN HELL!!!" Gabrielle yelled. Jason suddenly picked me up in his arms.

"What the-?! Jas put me down!" I said. "You won't be able to walk anyway. Your legs are still trembling. We'll reach faster this way. Felix come on let's go home." He said. He does have a point.

"Bye guys!" I said. "Bye Lucy! Take care!" They said.

Gabrielle stood there burning in jealousy. I put my arms around Jason's neck purposely and smirked. You could see smoke coming from her ears. I giggled.

"Hey stop it. It's like you're trying to seduce me. And I might give in." Jason whispered huskily in my ear. I buried my face in his neck.

"Shuddup!" My muffled voice came out. I could feel him grinning. I softly smiled too.
