《Alice : A Magical Story [Under Heavy Editing]》Chapter 27

Lucy's POV
I sat on my bed. Why does it matter to me? I shouldn't care how Jason feels about me. But it hurts. My heart hurts. I held the pendant Jason gave me for awhile. I then pulled it out and put it in my drawer. It's better there.
"Lucy, dinner!" Lisa said. "Coming." I said and went down.
After dinner the girls decided to play truth and dare. I was forced to play even though I wasn't interested.
"Come on! It'll be fun." Levy said. "I'll go first. Levy, truth or dare?" Kelly asked.
"W - What? Me? Well truth I guess." She said.
"How far have you gone with Griffin?" Kelly asked. Levy blushed at that. "We've smooched once or twice." She answered. We all hooted. I smiled. This kinda lifted my mood.
"I choose Elly. Truth or dare?" Levy asked and the game went on till it landed on me. Scared they might ask me to do something weird if I choose dare so I chose truth.
"So tell us, what happened today? In Central Square? With Jason." Lisa asked. This is as bad.
"You might feel better after telling someone." Lisa said. I sighed and told them what all I heard.
"How mean." Elly said. "It's fine. I can't help it. I am that way. But what hurts is that he would rather date Gabrielle than me. And I kinda like him. As more than a friend." I said smiling sadly.
"I'm not gonna leave it at that. Lucy, tomorrow I want you with your hair down and straight, I want you to wear a dress, stockings and heels. And I'll do your make up." Kelly ordered.
"What?! But I don't even have a dress!" I said.
"Levy can lend you one or I can make you one too." Kelly said.
"But-"
"No buts. Girls let's go and choose her a dress right now." Kelly said and they dragged me to Levy's room. Levy's room was mostly filled with books, even in different languages.
"These are all I have." Levy said and placed more than 10 dresses on the bed. "Try them all." Kelly said.
First was a long one, then a frilly one, then one which made look fat, then a simple lacy one and it went on.
I slumped down on the bed, tired. We didn't find any good one. I spotted one more dress in the closet.

"Hey what about that?" I asked. "Oh that. It's doesn't fit me anymore so I thought it wouldn't fit you too. Wanna try it?" Levy asked. I shrugged.
I changed into it and it fit perfectly. It was a dress but looked like a shirt and skirt. It was full sleeved with two holes around the shoulder and puffed a bit near the wrists. The upper part was black in colour then it was a black leopard print belt and then a white flowy skirt.
"This is perfect!" The girls said. I looked at myself in the mirror and twirled. It reached my mid thigh.
"Jason will take back all his words when he sees you tomorrow." Lisa said. "Yeah. I guess." I said.
"You can keep it if you want. It looks really good on you." Levy said. I thanked her and the others and went to my room. All night I just kept thinking,
Is this all worth it?
The next day as said I wore the dress and the black stockings along with my knee length black boots. I left my hair open.
The others came and began their work. After they were done I saw that some of my hair was tied in a side pony and bangs clipped to one side. My nails were painted with a silver coat and my face....I wore soft red lipstick, slight blush, mascara and some shiny silvery eyeshadow.
"You look beautiful!" The girls said. I just stared at myself. Is this me? How can I look so good? Is this what they call the power of make up? I smiled slightly. This even made me look a bit mature.
"Thanks guys." I said. "Don't mention it." They said.
We left home and I was a bit nervous on what others might think. I didn't even wear such clothes when I was living with Derek and Charlie. I hope we don't come across the boys at all.
I was in the front as usual. Back straight, head up, chest filled with confidence. All eyes turned as we walked past by them. I heard people say 'Hey is Lucy Heartfilia?' 'Yeah. She looks so beautiful doesn't she?' 'Yeah. She's hot.' 'Gosh I'm jealous of her. She's strong, fearless and now beautiful.'
I smiled. It's working. Oh no. My nightmare. I frowned. It's not like I'm even going to talk to him so who cares?

"Hey girls." James said. We greeted back.
"Wow Lucy! Is that you?! You look beautiful!" Ben and James complimented. I just smiled at them softly.
"Doesn't she?" Elly asked. "Bunny girl you changed. I'll have to think of another name for you." Griffin said. I just laughed lightly. Fred just smiled at me. I didn't look at Jason.
"Come on let's go. We have a class to attend." I said and we headed ahead.
Jason's POV
"Did you look at Lucy?! She was like a completely different person." Ben said. The others nodded.
"What did you think Jason?" James asked. "Yeah. She was fine." I said. She looked beautiful but that's just not her. She doesn't look beautiful like she.....used to. And her smile isn't the same. Is it because of what I said yesterday? Wait. She looks like a cute sweet girl right now and not like a guy who's just played football and come so there might be many guys who might ask her out. No I won't allow that.
"Hey, you'll think guys might ask short stacks out now?" I asked the guys hesitantly while we were at the vending machine.
"Well isn't it obvious? Just look at her go!" Ben said. "I heard a guy already asked her out." James said. My juice can broke at that.
"Look likes someone is burning." Griffin teased. "Shut up." I said.
"But it is true isn't it?" Fred teased. Ben and James snickered from behind. I growled.
"How long are you gonna wait dude?" Griffin asked. "You kept telling us to get our girls and now you're not getting yours." Fred said.
"They do have a point. And Lucy's dressed up like that to impress you. You just have to compliment her." James said.
"Why don't you'll understand?! She heard what I said about her yesterday!" I yelled.
"So what? You always say such things about her and she just gets pissed at you and is fine the next minute." Ben said.
"WELL SHE F****** HATES ME NOW!! And it has something do with what I said yesterday! I just don't know what to do. Ugh." I yelled and rubbed my face in frustration.
"I need some time alone. I'll see you guys later." I said and left.
On my way to the garden I picked up short stacks' scent. I kept my aura at the lowest and spied on her. I found her near the fountain. I saw her peeking into the fountain.
"Is this what everyone likes to see?" I heard her ask herself. Tch. I showed myself and her eyes widened a bit. Now that I look at her, she looks like a soft porcelain doll, so fragile, which might break by just touching it.
"What do you want?" She asked me. Guess she's still pissed. I grunted and walked over to her.
"Get out of that dress right now." I said. She glared at me.
"And why should I?" She asked. "Just do as I say." I said.
"No. Not when everyone likes me this way." She said. "They like you THIS way not the real you. And this dress makes you look uglier. You were better before." I blurted out. Shit. What did I just say? Her shocked face soon morphed into a smirk.
"What was that? Could you repeat what you just said?" She said teasingly.
"Tch. Shut up." I said and looked the other side. This girl really makes do weird things. She jumped on my back with her arms around my neck. "Hey! Get off!" I said trying to remove her hands.
"You said I look good. You said I look good." She kept repeating and laughing. I rolled my eyes. "I never said you look good." I protested.
"Technically, you did. Others said I look beautiful now but you said I looked better before. Get the logic." She said.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." I said. "Come on now. You're carrying me all the way home." She said.
"The hell I'm doing that!" I said. "It's your punishment. Just obey it. I might even give you some food once we reach as a reward." She said. I sighed and began walking.
"I'm not your dog." I said. "Of course you're not! I don't take rides from dogs." She said. I grunted. How does she make me do the stuff she wants? This is going out of hand. Gotta show her who's the boss.
"And you're my cat, aren't you Stellar?" She teased.
Oh god.

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
