By the time I finally decided to go home my whole body was drenched. I usually don't like showering in the gym, but today I have no other choice. And I can't say that it was the best experience, but at least the moisture on my skin is now water and not sweat.
I go back home and ring the doorbell. I didn't take keys with me this time and looks like they're not in the mood of opening the door anytime soon again. I ring the doorbell once more and start knocking aggressively, and finally, after 2 minutes Clay opens it.
I'm so tired of seeing his grumpy face.
"I thought sound travels quicker," I walk in, not looking at his face, but knowing that he's probably rolling his eyes or something.
"You thought? That's rare."
I swear I'm gonna punch him one day.
Before I could come up with a smart comeback, I see that something unusual is going on in the living room. I see George covering his nose with a towel and Nick is holding what looks like an ice pack.
I ignore Clay's existence and make my way to the living room. And oh my god, the scene is horrifying.
I see George sitting with cotton balls up his nostrils and I see Nick's barely straight face.
"What the hell? What happened?" I cover my mouth, not daring to get closer before I get the details. I don't know that much about nose bleeds but it could be contagious or it could even be a crime scene.
"The shower-" Nick starts to speak but immediately bursts out laughing, "the shower heEhhhh~"
Every time Nick tries to finish the sentence, he laughs even harder. All I get from the lack of his words is that something happened in the shower.

George groans and kicks Nick with his knee. I'm still waiting for an explanation.
"The shower head broke and fell- oh my- it fell on his n- noOose~"
Nick is tearing up at this point. I feel bad for holding back a burst of laughter, but it's so funny. It's so hilarious to imagine him showering and minding his own business and then the shower head breaks and falls on his nose.
"It's not funny, my nose is probably fucking broken!" George's nasal voice is even funnier but I manage to get away with just a smile. It's all Nick, he's laughing hysterically and I don't have enough self-control to resist.
"It's swollen.." my upper lip curls from disgust, "you look like a koala."
As if George wasn't annoyed enough, Nick makes the comparison even worse.
"He looks like a minecraft villager," he wipes the corners of his eyes while still laughing, "and sounds like one too."
"You're so hilarious." George's voice makes me look away and laugh quietly before he says something to me too.
I get completely serious when Clay approaches Nick, takes the ice pack from his hands, and puts it on George's nose. He even looks at Nick with a frown, which is probably a warning to stop laughing.
"I told you to hold it there," Clay scolds George, "does it hurt? Do you need a painkiller?"
Even though his voice is dry and it sounds like he's just offering help out of politeness, it's still nice to know that he's able to show some type of affection. It still bothers me that I have never heard him laugh or smile genuinely though. I wonder what he looks like when he laughs.
"It's throbbing," George mumbles and Nick covers his mouth again, snickering to himself.

"Ah, it's throbbing.. What about your nose though?" I find Nick's remark so unreasonably funny, yet George and Clay don't even change their facial expression. Not even a slight smile.
It's been more than ten minutes since I came here and god knows how long before that he had the cotton balls up his nostrils. But right as he tries to take them out, a stream of blood gushes out. This can't be good, it's bleeding from both sides too.
"I'm telling you, it's broken!" He whines as Clay shoves more cotton balls up his nostrils.
"Too bad we have to sell your kidneys to afford to fix your nose," Nick shrugs, "let's hope it doesn't heal crooked."
I feel bad about not knowing how to help. Nick is holding the icepack over George's nose while Clay is changing the cotton balls that are getting soaked with blood every 5 minutes. I'm sitting on the edge of the couch awkwardly, googling what to do.
"We should.. we should like soak the cotton balls in a saline solution before sticking them in," I speak nervously, hoping that it won't get him killed. Google said it, not me.
Clay checks the time on his phone. It's been 25 minutes and George is still bleeding, "Yeah.. that makes sense," I almost gasp when he agrees.
I finally have something to do, so I get up and start making the saline solution. Apparently I need to boil water for it. So much effort and for what.
Once the water starts bubbling and I pour it into a cup to chill, I hear George's voice from the living room.
"It fucking huuurts," he whines and I suppose Clay is trying to take the cotton balls out again, "I need painkillers."
I put the water in the fridge and go back to the living room. We have no painkillers at home, so someone needs to go get them. And it seems like that someone is Nick, cause everyone is looking at him.
"What if I get the wrong thing? You know I'm not good at making important decisions." it's hilarious that he's a fully grown man but cannot trust himself enough to buy basic painkillers.
Anyways, because I want to be helpful, I offer help.
"I can go."
"No, I'll go with him," Clay gets up and signals Nick to follow him with a head motion.
I appreciate them not letting me leave the house cause it's kinda late and I have tits, but at the same time-
"Can one of you stay with me in case he dies?" I only realize how insensitive my words sound after they leave my mouth.
"I won't die of a nosebleed, let them go," George still sounds funny. And if I were him, I wouldn't be that confident.
"We'll be back s-" Nick starts, but Clay cuts him off.
"Actually, I'll go alone," looking back and forth between me and George, he nods to himself, "yeah, I'll go alone."
