It's been a month ever since (Y/N) first arrived in Equestria and his life couldn't be happier. He was able to get new jobs around Ponyville to earn some Bits for his new house which he now lives in near the Golden Oak Library. He was able to get to know more of his friends around the time he had to spend time with them. He learned that Pinkie Pie came from a rock farm and she loves to spread joy and make ponies smile all of the time, he learned that Applejack has an older brother and a younger sister and they all work hard together to make Sweet Apple Acres the best it can be, he learned that Rarity dreams of opening a lot of fashion boutiques all over Equestria, and he learned that both Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy came from a cloud city in the sky called Cloudsdale and that Rainbow Dash dreams of becoming a Wonderbolt while Fluttershy stays at her cottage to look after her animal friends. It wasn't just those five (Y/N) became closer to as he was very helpful to all of the ponies in Ponyville. Whenever someone needed help, (Y/N) would always be there to help them out whenever they needed it. Due to this, (Y/N) became well known around Ponyville as the most helpful pony out there. Sometimes when (Y/N) wasn't working, he would practice some magic spells that he never learned before from spell books he looked at in the library. Today was the Summer Sun Celebration, an event where Princess Celestia chooses a town or city to let them see how she uses her magic to lower the moon and raise the Sun. Somepony was coming to supervise the festivities for the Summer Sun Celebration and (Y/N) volunteered to tour her for the event. Right now it was the early morning as (Y/N) was still in his house sleeping on his bed. However, as he was, the tip of his horn glowed a small white glow and he shifted a little while he was sleeping.

Inside of his dream, (Y/N) was standing out in a space-like void and he looked all around him in confusion.

Where am I?

Help.

Huh?

Please help them.

Is someone there? You can come on out, I won't hurt you.

Then a light blinded (Y/N) as he was then put into a different landscape that looked to be a castle of some sorts and around him he was in a room that was like a library with a book in the middle.

What is this place? Is this a dream?

Thousands of years ago, there were two regal sisters who ruled together and created harmony for all the land.

The books that in the middle of the room then opened on it's own, levitated, and approached (Y/N) surprising him. In the book two alicorn figures were shown and one looked like Princess Celestia while the other was unknown to (Y/N). As the voice spoke, the pages flipped to show exactly what it was saying.

To do this, the eldest used her alicorn powers to raise the sun at dawn while the younger brought out the moon to begin at night.

I see, but. . . what does this have to do with me?

The two sisters maintained balance for their kingdom and their subjects, all the different types of ponies. But as time went on, the younger sister became resentful. The ponies relished and played in the day her elder sister brought forth, but shunned and slept through her beautiful night. One fateful day, the younger alicorn refused to lower the moon to make way for the dawn. The elder sister tried to reason with her, but the bitterness in the young one's heart had transformed her into a wicked mare of darkness: Nightmare Moon.

That's. . . terrible.

She vowed that she would shroud the land in eternal night. Reluctantly, the elder sister harnessed the most powerful magic known to ponydom: the Elements of Harmony. Using the magic of the Elements of Harmony, she defeated her younger sister, and banished her permanently in the moon. The elder sister took on responsibility for both sun and moon and harmony has been maintained in Equestria for generations since.

So what do I have to do with all of this?

It has come to time that Nightmare Moon will be free again. And it's up to you to make sure that she will be stopped for good.

Me? Why me?

Didn't you make a promise to (M/N)? To protect Equestria and everyone on it?

W-What!? How do you know about that!? Who are you?!

You'll know in due time, but it is still must be you and your allies who shall stop Nightmare Moon once and for all.

(Y/N) thought hard about this for a minute, but he soon put on a determined face and he knew that the mysterious voice was right.

I'll do it! I'll save Equestria!

Thank you (Y/N). It appears that I can allow you to wake up now.

With that being said, a bright light blinds (Y/N)'s vision once more, and he went back to reality to wake up from his bed and he rubbed his eyes to get awake and he yawned while still wondering about the dream he just had.

That seemed too real to be a coincidence. If this event does happen though. . . then I know what I have to do.

(Y/N) got up from his bed to go out of his house and go to the mayor's office to see who exactly he was suppose to tour today. Along the way, almost everypony around waved at him to greet him and he waved back with a smile on his face. He eventually arrived at the mayor's office to meet up with Mayor Mare.

Good morning Mayor Mare. I came to see who exactly I'll be guiding today for the Summer Sun Celebration today.

Good morning to you too (Y/N). I've just received a message from the royal castle that the representative will be coming in just an hour. Her name is Twilight Sparkle and she'll be arriving by a chariot being pulled by two royal Pegasus guards so you should see them by the entrance of Ponyville.

Thank you mayor. I'm on it. Twilight Sparkle huh? What a nice name.

(Y/N) waits patiently and he eventually sees a gold chariot being pulled by two royal Pegasus guards in the air and they land in Ponyville. The passengers which was a unicorn mare and a baby dragon got off the chariot and thanked the guards for their service.

The unicorn mare has a pale, light grayish mulberry coat, a dark sapphire blue mane and tail with moderate purple and brilliant raspberry streaks in them, she had moderate violet eyes and her Cutie Mark is a pink-six-pointed sparkle surrounded by five small white sparkles. The baby dragon next to Twilight has light mulberry scales with a light spring budish grey underbelly and light lime green ear fronds, moderate pistachio eyes and moderate harlequin spikes.

(Y/N) saw the two and walked towards them while hearing them have a conversation.

She said to check on preparations. I am her student, and I'll do my royal duty, but the fate of Equestria does not rest on me making friends.

Maybe the ponies in Ponyville have interesting things to talk about. Come on, Twilight, just try!

Pinkie walked up to Twilight and Twilight then tried to greet her.

Um. . . hello?

Pinkie let out a really long gasp before jumping up into the air and she zoomed off over the two surprising them.

Well, that was interesting all right.

*chuckles* Classic Pinkie Pie, she's always the fun and exciting one.

Both Twilight and Spike turned to see (Y/N) approach them.

My name is (Y/N). It's nice to meet you.

Both Twilight and Spike looked at each other in slight confusion when (Y/N) just said his name to them.

Uh. . . sorry, but could you repeat that name?

I actually volunteered to give the representative of the Summer Sun Celebration a tour around Ponyville and I was told by the mayor that you are that representative.

I see. Well, as you already know my name is Twilight Sparkle and this is my assistant Spike.

Twilight then noticed (Y/N)'s wings and horn and she let out a small gasp.

You're an alicorn?!

Yep, I'm actually the only alicorn here in Ponyville.

That's surprising! Alicorns are very rare and the only known alicorn is Princess Celestia and Princess Cadence. How are you one?

Um. . . it's a long story. I'll tell you two if I get the chance. Right now, let's get going with the tour so we can be prepared for the festival.

When Twilight finishes her sentence, a stampede came and the next thing (Y/N), Twilight, and Spike knew was that they were in chairs with a table of delicious apple-themed food in front of them surrounded by Applejack's family.

This here's Apple Fritter. Apple Bumpkin. Red Gala. Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Caramel Apple, Apple Strudel, Apple Tart, Baked Apples, Apple Brioche, Apple Cinnamon Crisp... *deep breath* Big McIntosh, Apple Bloom and Granny Smith.

Granny Smith was sleeping on her rocking chair, and she is an elderly earth pony with a light lime green coat, a light grey mane and tail, light brilliant orange eyes, she wears an orange scarf with red apple desgins on it and her Cutie Mark is an apple pie. Applejack woke her up.

Up'n'attem, Granny Smith, we got company.

Wha. . .? Soup's on? I'm up, here I come, ahm comin'

You have such an amazing family, Applejack.

*chuckles* Thanks (Y/N). I mean both you and Twilight are part of the family.

Twilight had a bunch of food stuffed in her mouth before spitting it back out.

*nervous laugh* Okay, well I can see the food situation is handled, so we'll be on our way.

Twilight looked at (Y/N) confused and he nodded his head slowly, Twilight just sighed.

Everyone cheered and the four had brunch as planned.

After having brunch with the Apple family, (Y/N) guided Twilight and Spike to another spot in Ponyville.

Food's all taken care of, next is weather.

Ugh. . . I ate too much pie. . .

Applejack and her family sure do know how to make such good Apple-themed foods.

Twilight then walked up to (Y/N) to ask him a question.

How close are you to Applejack exactly?

She's actually one of my best friends. I've helped Applejack sometimes at Sweet Apple Acres by either selling some of their apples across Ponyville or just help her buck some apples off some trees.

I see. Despite that, what's next on the list Spike?

Hmm, there's supposed to be a Pegasus pony named Rainbow Dash clearing the clouds.

I know her as well. She should be around her somewhere.

Well, she's not doing a very good job clearing those clouds, is she?

Hey, Dash! Are you here? I've got some ponies here I want you to meet.

Then a blur crashed into Twilight right beside (Y/N) which startled him and he sees both of them crash into a mud puddle.

Are you two alright?

Hey, (Y/N). I heard your voice and I just came down to try to surprise you, but I missed.

*nervous laugh* Yeah. And you're kinda squishing Twilight there.

Rainbow Dash realized that she was sitting on Twilight by accident and she let out a sheepish laugh.

Uh, 'scuse me? *sheepish laugh*

Twilight grunts with an unamused look as she was now covered in mud.

You might wanna clean her up Dash.

Rainbow Dash flew off and came back with a rain cloud which she places above Twilight and jumps on it, making it pour rain on Twilight. The rain washed away the mud, but now Twilight's mane and tail were drenched.

Oops, I guess I overdid it.

Rainbow Dash created a rainbow tornado around Twilight and when she was finished, Twilight's mane and tail were now all poofy.

This made Rainbow Dash, Spike, and (Y/N) burst out laughing while Twilight tries to prevent herself from exploding with anger. She then glares at (Y/N) annoyed.

Let me guess, this is your friend Rainbow Dash?

Yep, she's the one and only.

Dash, this is Twilight Sparkle and Spike. I'm giving them a tour while they also are here to check on your duty as weather manager to keep the sky clear.

Rainbow Dash then relaxes on a nearby cloud.

That's it? Don't worry about it. I'll do that as soon as I'm done practicing.

The Wonderbolts! They're gonna perform at the Celebration tomorrow, and I'm gonna show 'em my stuff!
