《Ephemera | poetry》|Just A Single Glance|

Is it hard to notice,

Is it so difficult to see,

Her gloomy little heart;

Broken by so many,

Is she just a mirage,

Or a fading memory,

Of a girl she used to know;

The girl she used to be,

Is it not a crime,

An unforgiveable sin,

To break her like this;

When she did nothing,

Was it too much too ask,

Or too much to demand,

To let her inhale some fantasy;

When reality was hard to breathe,

Does it not bother you,

Do you not feel shame?

For trying to morph her into,

Someone who shared just her name,

How can you be so peaceful,

How can your days be mundane?

When your being is heavily sinned;

With redemption a day away,

You think you can escape,

You think you can ignore,

The hell you broke upon her;

Just to satisfy your ugly soul,

You think the sky doesn't notice,

You think the Earth doesn't feel,

The hurt you've inflicted;

Merely to steal her ease,

You think she stays quite,

You think she doesn't speak,

Oh how blind can you get;

Is it so damn hard to see,

You wanted just to tear her,

You wanted to break her apart,

But in doing this you forgot;

You messed with a warrior's heart,

You are oblivious to the truth,

You weave lies in your brain,

That you have finally caged her ;

But your effort goes in vain,

She is not a flower you can pluck,

Not an animal you can train,

Not a dream you can darken;

Not a canvas you can stain,

She can hit you like a storm;

Spearing out your blackened heart,

She can ruin you to nothing;

With just a single glance.
