You sing along the soft symphonies;

That all these hollow instruments play,

I wonder why are you always deaf ; to

The harmony my broken words portray

You gaze lovingly at the soft blue sky;

That from your touch is aeons apart,

And I , who is fading by your side,

You spare not even a single glance:

You gather those dusty autumn leaves;

Deeming yourself a tender aesthete,

do you ever notice this wilting rose;

Your hands never bothered to caress

You are in love with this dark night ;

So boastful on being a nyctophile,

But what about my shadowed heart,

From whom you stole all of its light?

You hold in your palms milky pearls;

Forever scared they would break,

And yet you tremble not even once;

When silver , from my eyes escape,

You gently pluck those dandelions

Wishing they would never disperse,

But has it ever shaken your mind;

How you left me to wither and hurt;

I used to be your golden sun,

Your seraphic moon and all your stars,

The irony that now I'm just a nobody

A canvas you left for time to scar,

You once swore upon a shooting star

That you would never leave me alone,

But look at now what I have become :

Broken , abandoned - heart of stone;

Years ago when I heard this saying ,

I thought of it as awfully strange,

But You came along and taught me well

"How just like seasons , people change".
