《Mafia's Errand boy (Mxb)》Chapter 5: Chaos

"Ugh....." I groaned, running the top of my head. "What the hell happened?" I asked no one in particular.
"You hurt your head and passed out." A voice answered suddenly. My eyes shot up. Oh great. It was Luke.
"Geez...." I mumbled, closing my eyes. "How?"
He laughed at the memory. "You started to run around, and eventually, you ran into the wall.
I felt my forehead, realizing there was a bump on it. I groaned again before sending an accusing glare at Lucas. "You did this to me. This is all your fault."
Lucas laugh before smiling at me. "You're quite amusing. Caspian. You remind me of someone."
I rolled my eyes. "Who gives a shit?"
He laughed again before standing up. "Well, you must be hungry, so I'll grab you something from the cafeteria. Though you really should start your job soon."
I didn't answer him. I didn't want to. After all, if I were to seriously take a job on here, that would mean everything would be official. I would be stuck here. Forever!
And I would rather live with my idiot father, in his crappy apartment.
Right?
Right.
I hated it here. With a passion. No way would I stay here. I looked up at Lucas with a glare. "I'm gonna get out of here." I assured.
Lucas laughed as he neared me. "I'd like to see you try. Trust me, the boss has tons of people watching over. Just like today. You were brought back by no other than a guard."
I rolled my eyes. "That was because I didn't know there were guards! But this time I will succeed! And that'll be the last you'll see of me!"
Lucas nodded mockingly. "Yeah. Sure. Whatever you want."

I turned red due to the frustration I was feeling. I stood up and grabbed his collar. Surprisingly, he didn't even struggle.
"I will get out. You stupid monkey!"
He laughed before he did something unexpected.
He kissed me!
"Eww!" I yelled while wiping my lips. Lucas laughed as I pointed an accusing finger at him. "You bastard!" I said, my eyes wide.
Lucas smiled as he gave me one last wink before leaving the room.
I simply watched the door as everything processed. Almost instantly, my face grew hot. "H-he.... that stupid...."
I curled up on the bed as I tried to suffocate myself with a pillow. "This is all just a bad dream. I'll wake up, and my stupid dad will be out like usual. And I'll go to school...."
My eyes welled up with tears. "I'm never going back." I whispered, realizing my situation.
I had already tried escaping, and even if I did, they would find me almost instantly.
I turned over onto my side as I tried to think of a way out. But it was useless. I know I would at least try, but I doubt I would actually get out of here.
I heard the door open, and I rolled my eyes when I saw who it was. "Oh great. A literal Reaper is in the same room as me."
He laughed as he crossed his arms. "How do you do, Ruben?" He joked. I only sighed.
"Just kill me already."
He laughed again before scratching his head. "Sorry we met under such strange circumstances."
I shook my head as I sat up. "What I'm mad about is the fact that you took me back here. Honestly. I know it's your job and all, but you could've at least turned a blind eye."

Reaper laughed. "Sorry. I can't do that. The boss would have my head if I disobeyed his words."
I sighed and nodded understandingly. "That's gonna be a pain in the ass...." I whispered to myself. Reaper laughed before kneeling down next to me. "I also must tell you.... that I've been assigned your personal guard for the time being."
My eyes widened as I shot up. "What?! No!"
He smiled as I rushed out of the room, looking for that asshole of a boss. Instead, Lamia had noticed me. "Caspain?"
Thank god. I found a familiar face. "Do you know where the boss is?" I asked, cutting straight to the chase. Lamia nodded as he pointed to the cafeteria.
"He's talking to someone pretty important in there."
I didn't give a shit. I ran straight into the cafeteria, practically breaking the doors as I slammed them open. "You bastard!" I yelled before looking up.
Almost immediately, my eyes widened. "W-what the hell?"
The man smiled at me as he stood up. "Caspian?"
The boss smiled at the two of us. "You know each other?" He asked, resting his chin on his palm. The man nodded.
"That's Caspian, he's my-"
"That's my uncle."
The boss laughed. "What a turn of events. You two are uncle and nephew?"
I stared at my uncle, my skin turning pale. "What going on?"
Why was he here?
