《Mafia's Errand boy (Mxb)》Chapter 6: Casper

Well shit. Three days in and I'm already sick of this dreaded place.

"So. Explain. Now." I demanded, my glare turning darker by the minute. My uncle smiled before nodding. "Just calm down Casper."

"Caspian." I corrected, irritated.

He smirked before crossing his arms. "Listen kid, geez. I work for these two."

My eyes widened. "You.... work for them?"

He nodded, his stupid face mocking me. "What the hell?! Does Dad know about this?!"

My uncle paused before shaking his head. "It's.... kind of a secret."

"What? Why?"

But I was ignored. My uncle continued his chit chat with the boss as I silently glared. Lucas approached me, his expression calm, which only added fuel to the fire.

"Why are you ignoring me? Someone explain why my dumbass uncle, who disappeared over 3 years ago, is sitting right in front of me, talking as if nothing has happened?"

"Because nothing did. Alright. I've been working here the entire time. That's it. And yes, I am the reason you're here."

That sure got me. I stopped. Everything around me seemed to turn black and gray, as I processed what he had just said.

"W-what?" I asked, confused.

He groaned before staring straight at me. "I may have mentioned you and your father to the boss. He wanted to see you, so I showed him a picture. You should be happy, he decided he wanted you. So we tricked your father, and boom. You're here."

By now, my jaw had reached the floor.

"Y-you sold me? To keep your own job? A-are you serious?" My shaky voice made out.

He sighed and nodded. "Yeah. I had to. But it was better for the both of us. Your father was an imbecile. He gave you away as soon as he could."

I bottled up my tears. I couldn't show them how pissed off I was. All I could do was turn away.

I walked, further and further, before I sped up. Soon enough, I was running, as fast as I could, with tears spilling down my red cheeks.

I couldn't been home, playing my video games in a room with no light, by a care in the world.

But now I'm here. Stuck as a slave for these assholes. Or as they would like to put it, an errand boy.

What a load of bullshit.

I didn't even notice how fast I was running, because before I knew it, I had run into a wall named Lamia.

I fell to the ground with a loud thump, but I couldn't feel any pain. I looked up, my vision blurry, but I could make out who it was.

"Are you okay?" He asked, kneeling down next to me. I looked up at him and shook my head. "Does it look like I'm okay?" I asked, rolling my red eyes.

He smiled softly before helping me up. "What happened?" He asked, his eyes filled with curiosity.

I sighed before explaining everything, hoping it would help my cope with the pain.

It did not.

Lamia sighed again as we sat on the large cement stairs. He placed his arm around me before pulling me close.

"I'm sorry." Is all he said.

I stared up at him, a bit shocked that he could act so... so....

Kind.

I snuggled into him as I let loose. "I-I didn't get to say goodbye to my precious games.... or my stupid friends!"

Lamia laughed before rubbing my head.

"Listen, the boss isn't the most considerate guy, but please, just give him a chance. Well, Lucas is a bastard, don't give him a chance, but the boss...

Actually never mind. Don't give any of them a chance."

I laughed, despite my tears remaining.

"Excuse me?"

Lamia paled as we both looked up. "U-uh.... hi boss..."

The boss raised an eyebrow. "Hello, Lamia."

Lucas just smiled as the boss glared at Lamia harshly.

"Listen, Caspian, we're sorry. We were trying to help you from that... man. He's unreliable and has a bad history with drugs. Though I will admit I had an attraction towards you, I won't push it."

I stared up at the boss, surprised of such sweet words. "But you will remain our errand boy."

I stood up, a deep feeling of annoyance settling in my stomach. "Fine. I don't care. It's not like I can change anything anyways."

My uncle sighed as he patted my shoulder. "Just calm down, Casper."

I slapped his hand away. "I said I don't care."

I walked off, the tears returning as I imagined remaining in this awful place.

Hell no.
