*Ariana's POV*
"C'mon Ariana we gotta go." Dad called. Today is the taping of Ellen's show. I can't believe I'm going to meet Ellen! I'm so excited!
I walked downstairs and saw him and Jess waiting for me.
"Have fun." Jess smiled at us. She hugged and kissed me on the cheek and then she hugged and kissed dad. Dad and I then went to his car and we drove to Ellen's studio.
"So Ellen and I talked and you can sit by the producers during the show. She'll ask me about you and I'll say some amazing things, then I'll tell everyone you're here and the camera will show you. All you have to do is smile and wave." Dad explained.
"Okay." I nodded.
"Ellen can't wait to meet you." He smiled. I smiled back at him. We soon arrived at the studio and went inside.
"Justin!" Someone said. We looked and saw Ellen.
"Hey Ellen." Dad smiled. They walked up to each other and hugged. Dad kissed her cheek. Do they always do that?
"This must be Ariana." She smiled at me.
"It sure is." Dad smiled. "Ariana this is Ellen, Ellen this is my daughter Ariana." He introduced us.
"It's so nice to meet you." I smiled. We then hugged.
"You look so much like Justin. It's like you're his mirror, his mirror staring back at him." She laughed. Dad and I both laughed, getting her joke.
"Nice one Ellen." Dad laughed.
"Thank you Justin." She smiled.
"Justin we have to go get you ready for the show." Johnny said to Dad.
"Okay." He nodded. "C'mon Ariana." He said to me. I nodded and went to follow him.
"Actually Justin could she hang out with me?" Ellen asked him.
"Sure." He nodded. "If you want to." He said to me.
"Yeah." I smiled.
"C'mon Ariana." She smiled at me.
"Bye dad." I said to him as I walked with Ariana.
"Be good!" He said.
"I will." I laughed.
"I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to Ellen." He laughed.
"Justin be quiet." Ellen said.
"Don't turn my daughter into you!" He said.
"I'm not making any promises." She said. We then left the hallway where we were and went backstage. "Do you want to go see the audience? We can dance in the aisles." She said.

"Sure." I nodded. She then was given two microphones and she handed one to me.
"Let's go." She said. We walked out from backstage and everyone cheered when they saw us. "Hi everyone!" She smiled. "I'm sure you all know this is Justin's daughter!" She said. I smiled and waved at everyone.
"Hi!" I smiled. They all cheered.
"Hit it!" Ellen cheered. Music then came on, it's dad's song 'Sexyback'. I followed her up the stairs of the audience and we both danced. Everyone was on their feet dancing with us.
We soon left and went back to the backstage.
"That was so much fun." I smiled.
"So I just came up with the best idea." She smiled.
"What?" I asked her.
"Let's go to my dressing room. I don't know if your dad is sneaking around here." She said. I laughed and nodded.
"Good point." I said. We then walked to her dressing room.
"Okay so during the interview I want you to sneak behind your dad and scare him. I've never done it before, so you can. Then for the rest of the interview you can sit next to him." She said. "You in?" She smiled.
"Yeah!" I smiled. "But how will I know when to come out?" I asked her.
"I'll say, so you have a daughter now. Then I'll tell him to tell me about you. Then you come out." She explained.
"Okay." I smiled.
"This is going to be great." She smiled.
Soon the show started. I stood backstage watching the interview on a tv.
"So you have a daughter now." Ellen said.
"I sure do." He smiled.
"Tell us about her." She said. I then entered the stage and put my finger to my lips telling everyone to be quiet.
"Her names Ariana. She's sixteen and is about to turn seventeen." He told her. I then reached the behind of his chair. I then quickly grabbed his shoulders. He then screamed and looked at me. The whole audience was laughing.
"Hi dad!" I smiled.
"Oh my God!" He laughed. "Ellen I told you not to turn her into you!" He said to her.
"And I didn't make any promises." Ellen said. I then sat next to dad.

"Well here she is." Dad smiled at me. I smiled and waved at the audience. They all clapped as I waved.
"Alright finish telling us about Ariana." Ellen said to Dad.
"Yeah dad. Finish telling them about me." I smiled.
"Well she is amazing at basketball! And she's pretty amazing, which she got from me." He smiled.
"Lies." I shook my head.
"What?" He asked me.
"I did not get my amazingness from you." I said.
"Then who did you get it from?" He laughed.
"I have no idea." I shook my head. "All I know is that I defiantly did not get it from you." I laughed.
"I really like your daughter, Justin." Ellen nodded.
"Why thank you Ellen." I smiled.
"So what is the best memory you two have together?" Ellen asked us.
"Well there's the time when we were in London." I said to Dad.
"That was pretty fun." He laughed.
"Is that the best though?" I asked him.
"There's a lot." He said.
"What about Spain?" I smiled.
"Yes! That's it!" He smiled.
"Okay you explain it because I'll just laugh the whole time." I laughed.
"So we were in Spain for the tour and Jess went out shopping while Ariana and I stayed back at the hotel. We both were laying around in sweatpants watching scary movies. One of our amazing bonding times. So anyway we had the lights off and we were watching The Conjuring." He said.
"Best movie ever." I added.
"Yes!" He agreed. "So it got to this really scary part and we both screamed and then Jess suddenly jumped in front of the tv, scaring us to death. We didn't even know she came back!" He said. Everyone was laughing.
"Don't forget, we were eating a bunch of junk food. Like Twinkies and all that stuff. Jess doesn't really like us eating that stuff. So when she scared us the food went flying everywhere. Then we received a long lecture about how junk food is terrible for us. But then when she left us to clean up the mess she took a Twinkie." I laughed. The whole audience laughed.
"Tour was pretty fun most of the time." Dad nodded.
"Remember when you and Uncle Jimmy were teaching me how to drive in New York?" I laughed. "Uncle Jimmy is Jimmy Fallon." I said to the audience.
"How could I forget? You almost killed us!" He said.
"It was one fire hydrant dad!" I said.
"Yeah but there was a car by that fire hydrant. You can't forget that we were in the Hamptons! Who knows what celebrity owned that car?" He laughed.
"Well whoever was in the Hamptons and your car was parked by a fire hydrant I am sorry!" I said to the camera.
"Don't apologize to the owner! Apologize to me and Jimmy!" Dad Said.
"I am sorry dad." I said. Then I looked at the camera. "I'm sorry Uncle Jimmy!" I smiled.
"You two are something else." Ellen shook her head.
"We know." We both laughed.
"Jess tells us all the time." I laughed.
"She sure does." Dad agreed.
"We're used to it now." I said.
"Well thank you for coming!" Ellen smiled. She then looked at camera. "Stay tuned for a performance by Justin." She smiled.
Then Dad performed and we left the studio.
"Come over to Portia and I's place sometime." She smiled at dad.
"We sure will." He smiled. Her and I then hugged.
"It was so good to finally meet you." She smiled.
"You too." I smiled.
"Whenever you, Jess and Justin come over we can plot our next plan." She smiled.
"Oh God." Dad sighed.
"We sure will." I smiled. Dad and I then went to the car and left.
"You have fun today?" He asked me.
"Yes! She's so funny!" I smiled.
"I'm glad." He smiled.
We soon arrived back home to find Jess sitting in the middle of the floor with two dresses in front of her.
"Jess what are you doing?" Dad asked her.
"Trying to figure out what dress I should wear to the awards." She answered. Dad looked at me, pouted his lips and I nodded.
"I'll help you, Jess." I said. Dad mouthed me a thank you and went upstairs.
The things I do for this man.

A Step Behind Death
Please share your thoughts about the story! Feedback and criticism is welcome, it'll help me improve my writing. "The final year of high school is the most difficult." This statement has never been truer for Damis, a student attending one of the many schools in the City of Sundridge. He never wanted anything more than to live a peaceful life, going so far as to avoid having large group of friends, indulging in dragged out conversations, or being involved in any other activity that requires him to invest a large amount of effort to accomplish. Instead, he poured all of his efforts into studying, dwelling in his internal monologues, and complaining about the things that annoy him to his one and only friend, Noah. Before long, he ended up as one of the best students in his class. As far as he was concerned, he was content with how he lived. But, after a confrontation with an eccentric girl named May, one of his classmates since the first year of high school, things have suddenly gotten out of hand. And as a result, his life became a lot more hectic than it used to be. Bound by a deal he could not refuse, his life as May's assistant began. At this rate, can he still spend the final days of his high school life in peace? Welcome to the life of Damis, the boy who's always A Step Behind Death. The cover art is made by friend of mine. The Doormat Villainess – Adrianne
A villainess is a character who has always been diametrically opposed to the heroine of a romance drama. What makes a person a good villainess? The fact that she's unabashedly beautiful and charismatic, yet also rotten inside? The fact that she's incredibly loathsome, greedy, and selfish? That she's reasonably strong enough to be a hurdle, yet ultimately powerless in the face of a determined heroine? That despite all these character flaws, a Villainess's greatest virtue is unwilling to give up until the last of their breath, in pursuit of her personal desire? If those are the hallmark of a successful Villainess. Then, I might be the wrong person to play that role. Also on Scribblehub (Profile)
