*Ariana's POV*
Lacy, Jonathan, Stephen and I sat at a table together eating our frozen yogurt. Outside the frozen yogurt shop was paparazzi taking pictures of us.
"Your car is sweet." Jonathan told me.
"I know." I smiled. I took a bite of my frozen yogurt.
"Tomorrow you are driving us to school!" Stephen said.
"Okay." I said.
"Your car is so much better than mine." Jonathan said.
"Well who got you your car?" I asked him.
"Your dad." He said.
"Well I am my dad's only daughter." I laughed.
"Jonathan you got a pretty nice GMC Yukon Denali." Lacy said.
"Good point." He nodded. We soon finished our frozen yogurt.
"Alright kids let's get out of here." I said. We threw away our bowls and went to my car.
"So your birthday is coming up soon!" Lacy smiled.
"What do you want for your birthday?" Jonathan asked me.
"You guys don't have to get me anything." I said.
"Ariana we are basically your best friends, we have to get you something." Stephen said.
"Surprise me." I said.
"Okay!" They all smiled. I then drove all of them home and then I drove myself home. I parked my car in the garage and walked inside.
"I'm home." I called. Dad then walked down the stairs.
"How was frozen yogurt?" He asked me.
"Good." I said.
"So what do you want for your birthday?" He asked me.
"Wasn't the car my birthday present?" I asked him.
"No." He shook his head. "This is your first birthday that we are together. This is important. So what do you want?" He smiled.
"I don't know." I shrugged. "Surprise me." I said.
"Alright." He nodded. "Tomorrow after school you and Jess are going dress shopping for The People's Choice awards." He told me.

"Okay." I nodded.
"Don't forget Friday is when I'm taping the show with Ellen, so no school for you." He said.
"Thank God." I said. He laughed and nodded. "Where's Jess?" I asked him.
"She went to pick up dinner." He told me.
"Oh okay." I nodded. "Tell me when she's here." I said.
"Okay." He nodded. I walked upstairs to my room and laid on my bed when my phone viberated. I pulled it out of my pocket and looked at it. It's a text from Will.
Hey beautiful :)
Why is he even texting me? I changed my number so he couldn't! I sighed and texted him back.
How did you even get my number?
He soon texted back.
I have my ways. So you, me dinner tomorrow night?
Is he serious right now?
No.
I then ignored the rest of his texts. He really has a lot of nerve asking me to go to dinner with him! He's the reason Alex and I broke up. I sighed when I thought about Alex. I miss him so much. I still can't believe I ruined it all. I would do anything to get him back.
He was wrong though, I don't have feelings for Will anymore. I did but then when I lost Alex those feelings went away. I realized how much of a jerk Will is and how amazing Alex is.
I have tried calling Alex many times but it just goes straight to voicemail. Now I know how dad felt when he was trying to call Jess and I when we were in Paris. Maybe I should try calling him again. I clicked on hos contact in my phone and clicked the call button.
"Hello?" A girl answered. What the hell?
"Who is this?" I asked her.

"Uh you're the one who called." She said.
"Is Alex there?" I sighed.
"Hang on." She said. "Babe someone is on the phone for you!" She called. Babe? I quickly hung up the phone. He already found someone else! How could he?
You know what who needs him? If he can move on, so can I. I got back on my phone and got on Will and I's messages. I texted him a message.
Dinner Saturday Night. Pick me up at seven.
He soon texted back.
I knew you would say yes. See you then.
Looks like I have a date to go on. What will dad say, though? I know he'll be angry. What about Jess? I'm sure she'll be upset but she won't say anything. She'll just say that if I'm happy then she's happy. Then she'll tell my dad that he needs to support me in everything I do. I know these two like a book.
"Ariana, foods here!" Dad called. I put my phone in my pocket and went downstairs to the kitchen to eat. Jess got Chinese.
"Egg rolls." I smiled. I grabbed a plate and put food on it. We all sat together as we ate.
"So I think I know what Jess and I are gonna get you for your birthday." Dad smiled.
"What is it?" I asked him. I took a bite of my egg roll.
"But you said to surprise you." Dad Said. I looked at him and slowly nodded my head.
"Nice one." I Said. Dad laughed and nodded.
"Thanks." He smiled. Should I tell them about the date with Will? Maybe I'll just tell them about the date part, not the Will part.
"So I got asked to go to dinner with a guy from school." I told them.
"That's good." Jess smiled.
"Who is he?" Dad asked me.
"Just a guy from school dad." I said.
"What's his name?" He asked me.
"Justin why does it matter?" Jess asked him.
"I just want to know his name." He said. I can't lie,he'll know I am.
"I'm going on a date with Will." I said. Both of my parents looked at me in shock.
"No." Dad shook his head. "You aren't going." He said.
"Dad I just want to go." I said.
"Why him Ariana? He broke your heart. He caused your break up with Alex. Do you really think I want to watch you go threw all that heartbreak again?" He said.
"It's just a date dad, that's all." I said.
"You aren't going. That's final." He said.
"Justin." Jess said.
"No Jess. She's not going." He shook his head.
"Do you want to know why I'm going? I called Alex and a girl answered. I asked her if Alex was there and she said hang on. Next thing I heard was Babe someone is on the phone for you." I told him. "If he can move on so can I." I said.
"Justin just let her go." Jess said. Dad looked at me and sighed.
"I want to have a very long chat with him." He said.
"Okay." I said.
"You can go." He sighed.
"Thanks." I smiled.
"You're welcome." He said.
I can't believe I'm going on a date with Will. Is this a good or bad decision? I guess I'll find out Saturday.

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

When I first woke up I knew only three things: My name is Reiza, I have a seed I need to care for, and a song. I was told that the forest I woke up in was mine and that I needed to take control of it and protect it. The only things standing in my way are nature itself, a bunch of strange floating boxes, and a group of crazy powerful creatures known as the forest queens. Sounds pretty simple right? It might be if it weren't for the fact that I have absolutely zero memory, but hey at least I know my name. Also apparently my enemies aren't only inside the forest. Forces from the outside got news that somthing was going down in my new home and are coming to crash my party. Can I claim this forest? Can I protect it? And most importantly can I figure out who I am and what's going on? I'm not sure but I'm going to try. Hey everyone I'm fairly new to writing novles and this is my first time ever putting my work on a site like this one. I hope you enjoy the story and would appreciate your feedback. I would ask that you read through at least a couple of chapters before leaving a rating. I know I have some trouble with grammer and how I structure some of my sentences and while feedback on that is appreciated what I would value most is feedback on the story as a whole in terms of how the plot works and if you are enjoying it or not.
