《missed calls | fezco》i love you

i played with the ends of my long black wig walking down the sidewalk. i had made a few sells tonight here at the mall.
things were kinda slow since i was new, but i wanted and needed to make a name for myself.
the sun had just went down and i continued to wear my prada shades that matched my all white outfit.
i turned looking behind me mainly to observe my surroundings, but i felt weird. it was the same feeling i had gotten while i was cooking tacos the other night.
it was a figure that was going the same pace as myself.
i quickly made a right turn just in case. i'd rather take the long way to the parking garage to be safe.
i turned back once more to see them take the same turn.
trying my best to remain calm i pretended like it was nothing. finally making it to the garage things definitely begin to get sketchy.
the lights were flickering, most of the vehicles were gone and the person was still behind me.
think ryder, think.
i purposely dropped my keys to glance at the person. i peeped the shoes that they were wearing.
nike slides with green and yellow weed socks.
fezco was following me.
fastening my speed i turned behind the big concrete wall. the moment he exposed himself i put him in a headlock.
"what the fuck fez! what're you doing?" he ripped his ski mask and hoodie off. "how'd you know it was me?" he could barely breathe so i let him go.
i was so frustrated i looked away and began rubbing my temples.
"what are you doing?" i asked again. "i was just making sure you're staying safe." before i could say anything i started puking.

"oh, shit! babe, you okay?" he held the hair from my face and rubbed my back.
i wiped my mouth, "i need to get home." i threw my keys to him and went to my car and he drove home.
"if you're still sick in a few days i'll take you to the doctor, okay?" fez tucked me in the bed after my shower.
he placed a glass of water next to the bed and cuddled next to me, "you're burning up, ry." he pulled himself away only making me more annoyed.
"no, i'm freezing cold. just lay with me please." i begged. fez couldn't deny and gave me exactly what i wanted.
•
"hello, ms. redd?" the doctor came into the room with my file. "please, call me ryder." i always felt uncomfortable being called by my last name.
"oh, yes ms. ryder. so according to the looks of things it looks as if you have the stomach flu."
i felt a sense of relief that i wasn't pregnant. even though i was not happy about being sick with this bullshit.
"ooh, thank you so much." i practically jumped off of the hospital bed and ran out the door. i texted fez to let him know it was nothing to worry about other than him getting sick too.
the hospital i went to was no more than 25 minutes away, but for the past four stop lights and right turns there has been a car follow me.
my windows were tinted and so were theirs. it was hard making out the person that was driving or if there was anyone else in the vehicle.
i called fez through my bluetooth with a slight panic feeling.
"hey babe, you okay?" he asked.

"yeah, are you in a red car following me?" i responded trying to keep an eye on the road, but also make sure the people behind me aren't trying to kill me.
"no, i brought ashtray out for something. make the nearest u-turn you can make and if they follow you i want you to come to me okay?" i felt a sense of worry through his voice.
i followed all of his instructions.
"they're still following me fezco."
"here's my location, come to me."
he was only ten minutes away, but that literally felt like forever. he forced me to stay on the phone so that he made sure nothing happened to me.
fez met me outside of the shop looking pissed. he scanned the vehicle that was behind me. i parked and they slowed down but continue to drive away.
i knew i could of been possibly killed right now but the way fezco looking put me in my feelings. this man is so fine.
he came to the drivers' side to make sure i was okay.
"look, come inside for a bit then we can go." he held my hand and lead me inside.
i could say watching him pull out wads of cash and seeing people's reactions never gets old. "you like that shit don't you?" he grinned trying to make me laugh.
after we made it home we sat down so he could question me about the whole situation, "i don't feel good, can't we talk about this another time?" i faked cough.
"ryder, your stomach hurts not your throat."
i said every detail i could remember including the license plate number.
michael wouldn't send someone to stalk me if he mainly wanted fez dead, but at the same time i've never had this problem before.
"now you can relax. what do you wanna watch?" he handed me the remote.
i went straight for the horror movies.
"netflix has shitty scary movies, ry." "so!"
midway through the movie that had been misplaced into horror instead of comedy fezco started shifting a lot.
"pause it real quick baby."
i rolled my eyes assuming that i was going to probably get interrogated again about the stalking situation.
"this isn't romantic or anything, but i couldn't wait. ryder, i really do love you. and i know we don't say it, but i'm 100% positive you're my soulmate. i'd do anything and everything for you. this is just for you to remember that i'm making that a promise to you,"
fez pulled out a delicate ring that cost way more than your average promise ring.
i felt like my heart stopped beating and my mind went into shambles
"always and forever." he finished.
i didn't even realize i had been crying. "fez i- i.." i stuttered i was still so shook.
"don't know what to say?" he asked.
i shook my head no because i knew exactly what i was trying to say.
"i love you."

Gray's Crucible
“The value you have brought to trade is immense, more than a thousand fold what any other traveler to Crucible has ever produced. More than even I produced during my journey.” The old man paused for a moment here, seemingly reluctant to continue. After a few seconds he begins again with weariness creeping into his voice. “As the Messenger of Crucible I have received the value of your life. You shall be awarded a body with potential equaling the value you have brought to this place in accordance with the laws of the higher realms. Now you shall depart for Crucible, but first; I, Jaze, will give you some advice.” The old man, Jaze, he had named himself paused a time. Time enough that Gray began to wonder if he was still present, when he suddenly continued in a low and serious tone, “You will undoubtedly have great potential Gray of Earth, but it is still only potential. What could be is not necessarily what will be. If you step foolishly in my world, if you can not live up to the potential you have bartered for, Crucible will crush you mercilessly and tear away your very soul.” A thought, cheerful and light was heard from Gray before his presence was sent rocketing away like a shooting star. “I’m looking forward to it.”
