My throat was hurting. It was scratchy and raspy. I mean I was screaming for hours. The only way to get my frustration out.
"Destiny we're leaving!" My mom shouted from downstairs. I didn't reply. "Don't leave the house!"
I heard the door slam and the car pull out the driveway. I jump up from my bed and throw some clothes on. I'm about to leave this house. I snuck into my moms room to see if I can find my phone but nah.
I walk downstairs and went straight to the corner store. I was thinking about talking to Fez. Bad idea? Yes.
Fez was counting the register. I walk inside grabbing my usual chips and a drink then walked back out. I stood next to him. I clear my throat to catch his attention.
"What are you doing here?" He sighs closing the register. I hold up the chips and slightly smiling.
"Chips."
"What's up with yo voice?" He blankly says. Damn he does sound fucked.
"Um, screaming crying." I awkwardly say placing the bag of chips and the drink in the counter.
"2 dollars."
I looked at him sincerely. I mean I did cause this. I don't even know why I wanted him to hate me. I scrambled into my pocket and grabbed $2. He takes it putting it inside the register.
"You wanna bag?"
"Um no im good..." I grabbed my stuff and slowly started walking away. I stopped then turned around.
"Fez.."
"Hm." He hums.
"I'm sorry."
"You told me." He blankly says. I sigh.
"No I mean, I love you Okay. I didn't wanna break up with you." I start and he still doesn't look at me. "You were right. It was my mom and her boyfriend, they think you're a bad influence. Being a drug dealer..." I finished. He didn't say anything.
"So you lied to me?" He eyes me.

"No, I mean technically yes."
"What happened to telling each other anything?"
"I was gonna tell you, I'm telling you now. And I don't even have my phone. So big major problem there." I complain. He chuckles. But not a happy one.
"Just go."
"Huh?" I cock my head to the side.
"Des just go, I need time to think about shit. Doesn't work how you want things. You know what you did to me?" He sternly says. I didn't say anything. I just stood there.
"Bye." I mumble but he already started walking away. I sigh to myself. I open my bag of chips and walked to Rues house.
I knocked on the front door. It swung open revealing Rues mother and a man behind her.
"Hi...is rue here?" I ask.
"Yea, she's in her room." She opens the door wider letting me walk inside. I went straight to Rues room and plopped on her bed.
"Hey." She mumbles. I wave my hand at her.
"I talked to Fez, like 10 minutes ago." I brought up. She sits up and looks at me.
"Really? What happened?"
"Uh he told me to go, he has to think about some stuff."
"I believe him. He was like fucked up." Rue chuckles.
"What do you mean?"
"He was drunk off his ass and high as fuck the next minute."
"Wheres jules?" I decided to change the subject. Rue sighs.
"Visiting her friend. Probably having a hell of a good time." She starts. "Wanna go to the mall or something?" Rue adds.
"Nah. I'm not even suppose to be here. I was told not to leave my house and I have no idea when they are getting back."
"Dang, you're seriously grounded? What did you do?"
"Left a pregnancy test on the counter." I chuckle.
"No way! Fezco got you pregnant!"

"No! We just didn't use protection."
"Child." Rue slaps her hand to her head.
"What time is it?"
"Quarter to 12."
"Okay i should get home. I'll see you at school tomorrow." Rue nods.
The minute I walk inside my house I ran straight upstairs. Changing my clothes. My mom wasn't home yet. But literally the next minute she comes in the drive way.
I walk downstairs and stand in the doorway. She walks up with billy who had suitcases. I raise a brow at him.
"What's happening?"
"Billy is moving in." My mom says walking pass me. She must really like this dude. I don't.
"Mom can I y'all to you for a minute?" I turn around following her.
"Sure." We go to her room and she closes the door. "What's up."
"Listen. You may really like billy. But I don't. He influences your ideas."
"Not true."
"Very true. Mom who idea was it for me to break up with Fez, who idea was to ground me?" My mom looks away.
"I'll give him another chance if you give Fezco another chance." I negotiate. She sighs before slowly nodding. "And you keep your own opinions and ideas."
"Fine." She says and I starting walking out. I had a small smile on my lips.
"Can I have my phone back too?" I added.
"No you were still reckless, but you can leave the house." She says. I nodded. At least its something.
I meet up with rue at school. I wrap my arm around her.
"I'm not grounded anymore, and I can leave the house." I smile.
"Really? Now you can come over." She looks over at me.
"I just don't have my phone."
"dang. That's sucks." She chuckles and I laugh with her.
"Very much." The smile stayed on my lips. As we walked down the hallway Nate glared at us. Behind him was Kat. She looked at me and I gave her a small smile. Which she returned. I should really apologize to her too.
Me and rue sat at a lunch table. She laid her head down. I propped my head on my hand.
"Do you think Fez is gonna forgive me?" I ask rue. She lifts her head a little.
"Yea, he's like in love with you."
"Yea sure." I roll my eyes.
"I'm being serious, he talks about you 24/7 I'm pretty sure he jerks off about you."
"Rue!" I laugh.
"What? It's true."
"I love you rue." I hold my hand out to put it into hers.
"I love you too des." She squeezes my hand. I don't know what I would do without rue to be honest.
School was over. I was gonna wait for rue but she told me not to earlier. Since I have no phone you have to plan this ahead of time. I push the front door of the school open. I didn't really pay attention to anything. I made my way down the steps finally looking up. I stopped in my tracks seeing Fez leaning against his car. He looks at me and slightly smiles.
"What are you doing here..?" I asked.
"Came to pick you up, you don't got your phone so I couldn't text you." He shrugs his shoulders. I just stood in front of him.
"Come here." He stands up and wraps his arms around me. I wrap my arms around his waist.
"I'm really sorry." I mumble into his chest.
"You're good baby." He rubs my back. We separate and he opens the passenger door for me.
"Thank you." I smile.
"No problem." He leans in and kisses me on my lips.
I slid into the passenger seat and he starts up his car driving out of the school parking lot.
