《Pathetic || Seth Clearwater》Sixteen

"Fuck you Wolf boy!" Ellis shouted furiously as he stomped onto the La Push beach. He was soaking wet, his jeans and T-shirt hanging off his body heavily weighed down by sea water. He ran a hand through his sodden curls, the water making them longer and directly on his face, and glared to where Seth was shaking with laughter.
"Oh That was glorious", He heaved as Ellis crossed his arms. He just beamed and shook himself free of the excess water dripping from his hair.
It was two days till the wedding and Seth had offered to show him around La Push. Since he was Seth's imprint, Ellis was begrudgingly allowed access to the reservation lands and Seth took joy in showing Ellis all his childhood haunts.
They had just been up on the cliffs when Seth had decided to show Ellis cliff diving. That obviously meant that he picked Ellis up and threw both of them off the cliff and into the water. Although neither of them had been in any danger, Seth's body running hot enough to keep him warm in the freezing sea and Ellis being technically undead, it was still a shock. Ellis was unamused to say the lest.
"You twat", he muttered as he pulled off his sodden shirt and threw it at Seth's face. It landed with a splat, muffling Seth's chuckles. Ellis quirked a grin at his excellent aim. But as Seth pulled the material away from his eyes, Ellis pretended to be angry again.
"What's a Twat?" Seth asked in confusion. Ellis fought to stop his lips from turning up at the corners.
"You wouldn't want to know".
"As come on, tell me!" Seth was whining now. Ellis rolled his eyes but decided to humour him, leaning over to whisper it in his ear. He watched his face change.
"Eww, you english have such weird insults". Ellis let himself grin this time as he watched Seth's reaction.
"We don't, we are just more inventive with our insults. It's not all swearing you know". The two of them began to walk up the beach as they talked. Both were bare chested and Seth had tied Ellis' shirt to his belt loops. Luckily, although it was warmer today than it had been all week, the sun was hidden behind the clouds. Ellis did not see any particular need for his shirt, vampirism having destroyed any insecurity or fear, and judging from the looks that Seth was giving him, he might not want his shirt back. Also, he doubted the other boy would give it back.
"Go on, name a few".
Ellis listed off all the insults he could remember, watching Seth's face as the list grew steadily longer. "Wow", Seth muttered once Ellis was finished. "You guys make us seem almost uneducated".

Ellis laughed, skipping slightly ahead of the other once they reached the road. He turned around and held out his arms in a cocky gesture. "Na, I'm just better than you", he teased. Seth faltered a bit, eyes scanning him, before his grin turned challenging.
"Really?" He asked with a smirk, body tensing.
Ellis mimicked his challenging smile. "Really", he echoed. There was a brief tense moment of stillness as they watched each other. Then Seth was lunging at him, aiming to grab hold of Ellis' shoulders. But Ellis just laughed and span away before he could make contact. He danced out of reach, hand forming a 'come here' gesture. Seth growled playfully before rushing at him again. Ellis ducked under his arms and stepped to the side giggling.
"You can't catch me", he taunted as he walked backwards slowly up the road.
"Not in this form I can't", Seth admitted then he was darting into the trees on the edge of the car park. Ellis followed him but kept a wide distance, aiming to get a head start. He hadn't sprinted far before he heard the passing of paws behind him. Risking a glance over his shoulder, Ellis stuck out his tongue at the golden wolf before picking up speed.
They ran around chaotically, playing some weird game of cat and mouse. Ellis barely noticed when they had left Pack lands and returned to the Cullen territory. The woods were filled with Ellis' laughs and taunts as he evaded Seth. Sometimes he would slip into invisibility to reappear behind the wolf with a smirk.
The two of them were so occupied with each other that neither of them realised Emmet and Jasper approaching. Ellis was laughing at Seth's frustrated expression which looked ridiculous on his wolf face, before helping as he was suddenly scooped up into the air.
"Got you Baby Bro!" Emmet exclaimed as he tightened his arms around Ellis in a massive bear hug. Jasper smiled as Ellis kicked his legs furiously.
"Damn you Emmet!" He shouted as he struggled. "Get off. I was about to win!" Even Seth's chuckled as Ellis' tone turned whiny. "Why are you two here anyway?" He asked, slumping in defeat.
"Alice insists that you are needed back at the house for a suit fitting. She sent us to get you", Jasper explained, eyes fond as he spoke about his mate.
"Also", Emmet added. "It's Edward's bachelor party tonight. We're going hunting".
"Cool", Ellis muttered. "But do I have to go back now? Seth and I were hanging out".
"Alice seemed pretty insistent", Jasper said and Emmet threw Ellis over his shoulder. "But Seth can come too if he wants". The three of them (Emmet refused to put Ellis down) turned and began running at a leisurely pace back towards the Cullen house, Seth padding at their heels.

(Ellis muttered that he looked like a pet dog. Seth playfully nipped at him in return.)
Alice was waiting on the porch, her tiny form radiating power. Her face lit up as she saw the three of them approaching. "Finally!" She exclaimed. "Where have you been?"
"We had to wait for them to return to our lands", Emmet spoke as he dropped Ellis onto his feet.
"Where's your shirt? And why the hell are you wet and salty?" She asked, immediately fussing over Ellis' hair. Seth snorted and Ellis shot his mate a look.
"Seth thought it would be fun to introduce me to cliff diving. Introduce meaning throw me off the cliff".
"Well", Alice fixed Seth with a look that had him glancing away sheepishly. "He'd better not mess up your suits. There are some clothes in a bag under that tree over there. Rosalie and Esme would be unamused to find a wolf lying In front of the doors". This was mostly aimed to Seth, who obediently trotted back into the forest. The Cullens had slowly warmed up to Seth. His presence made Ellis happy and no one had the heart to ruin that. Also, Seth was a heart warming guy, it was almost impossible to actively hate him.
Ellis noted something. "Wait suits?" He asked with slight apprehension. "As in plural?"
"How else am I going to see what suits you best?" Alice huffed at him and began tugging him inside. He turned a beseeching gaze to his two brothers but Jasper and Emmet just grinned. 'Traitors' he mouthed as Alice pulled him into his room. As soon as they were inside, she instantly forced him into the shower
When he stepped out, Seth was lounging in the hammock wearing his usual pair of denim jeans. Alice had disappeared to her room where she had left the outfits, leaving the two boys alone for a moment. Ellis grabbed a pair of boxers from the walk in closet (he felt the whole idea of having a room for your clothes ridiculous) and slipped them on under his towel. When he turned back around, he noticed that Seth was holding a picture frame in his hands. Ellis felt himself still as he saw the photo.
"I see you've finally noticed my pictures", he said steadily. Seth broke his gaze way from the picture to meet his eyes.
"This was your family?" He asked rhetorically. Of course it was, even as a vampire, the similarities between Ellis and the people in the photo were uncanny. There were two couples and two teenagers standing in front of the ruins of some old castle. The sun was shining brightly and they looked happy.
Ellis came to stand next to him. "That's my dad, Alex, and my uncle Richard. They were twins", he explained, pointing to two identical middle aged males. Both had the same blonde curls and warm handsome faces. Ellis' finger moved down to point at the two women. "This is my mum, Judy and my aunt Bethany. They were friends in uni where they met my dad and uncle". Ellis had inherited his mother's auburn hair and smile but he got his curls and eyes from his dad. Judy was holding onto her husbands arm, laughing at something he had said.
Bethany was a darker, Hispanic looking lady with black hair and tanned skin, who was smiling fondly at her husband. Beneath the two couples were two teenagers. Seth guessed that Ellis must have been thirteen or fourteen when the photo was taken.
"You had glasses?" He asked in surprise, staring at the thick black frames across his face. Ellis chuckled as he stared at his younger self. Seth could just about make out the green of young Ellis' eyes and the wide happy grin across his face. Human Ellis had rosy cheeks and a few pimples, his hair tied back behind his head. He had obviously just had a growth spurt, his trousers were slightly too short at his ankles. Next to him, with an arm around his shoulders, was a older boy.
"That is my brother Julian", Ellis whispered as he pointed at the other boy. "Uncle Richard and Bethany moved out to America just after the photo was taken. We were visiting them for the first time but my brother decided not come as he needed to do work for uni. I don't know what he's doing now". Julian had blonde curls like his father and no glasses but apart from that, he and Ellis looked so similar that they could of been twins. He was taller, probably around seventeen, and was grinning at the camera with a mischievous look.
"You know", Ellis muttered, voice fond and nostalgic. "I don't remember much about my human life, but I do remember that after this picture was taken Julian stole my ice cream". They both chuckled for a minute, Seth staring at the child version of Ellis. He then held out the frame for Ellis to take. Ellis took it and gently set it back on the desk.
A knock at the door disturbed the silence and Alice came in with her arms full of clothing bags. She dropped them on Seth's lap as Ellis groaned theatrically. "You are going to be my assistant", she ordered. "Now Ellis, let me dry your hair". Ellis stuck out his tongue at Seth, who was chuckling before obediently submitting himself into Alice's hands.

Despondent Divinity
There exists a Great Seal which split the world in two, one half ravaged by the Darkness, the other a safe haven of Light. Since the collapse of the old world, 20,000 years have passed, and the world watches on as their only protection from the Plague of Plagues slowly dissipates. Only the strong may survive the oncoming Demon horde, and the forgotten prince, Jack Calmira, fears he may not have what it takes. In a world where weakness is punished by death, what are weak men to do? Author's Note: Expect a chapter or two every month, but I'll get faster eventually. This story isn't a Wuxia, but it has a lot of eastern influence. The MC isn't OP and is flawed. Less action, more character driven. Constructive criticism would be appreciated as it's my first story. Chinese culture has inspired a lot of the novel, but much of it is an amalgamation of different cultures, some made up and some not. Think Xianxia + Shounen with a mix of western and eastern fantasy elements.
