~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jada woke up in a black room. With two doors staring back at her. Both with the same white glow around it. She was confused as to what was happening. She got up and slowly walked towards the doors but stopped midway.. staring.
"Jada." A spirit said. Jada looked to her left.
"Dad?" She asked and a tear shed down her face.
"Why are you here?" He asked her.
"I want to be here. My boys died and I'm determined to be with them now. I can't live without them." She said.
"I know my grandsons passed on. But I asked why are YOU here?" He asked her again.
"I just told you why. I want to be here." She said to him.
"No you don't. Otherwise these doors wouldn't be here." He said to her.
"What are these doors?" She asked him.
"That's the judgement door. Where you meet God himself and he decides your destiny in the afterlife." He said pointing to the door on their left. "This, is the door back to the land of the living." He said pointing to the door on their right.
"So am I not dead?" She asked him.
"Not completely. This room is for those who commit suicide. This room is for you to decide if you really want your life to end or if you are willing to give life another chance. God has this room because he knows our hearts, those who feel like death is the answer to solving rough life problems or experiences. He knows this is just how you feel in this moment, like dying. Think about the family. Think about that boy down there that loves you. Your friends. Most of all, think about your baby boys. You can live for them if not for yourself. You've gotten through some rough times my love. Don't fail this test that god has given you." Her father said to her.
She processed all he said to her and looked at both doors. She bit her lip, contemplating on what was the right choice not just for right now, because this determined the rest of her life.
"You're not ready babygirl. Or else you would've chosen the door I know you feel you should be in right now." Her father said to her.
She looked to him and she shed another tear.
"Papa I miss you like crazy. And I'm going to miss my babies like crazy on top of you if I go back there." She said, referring to the door to the land of the living.
"And if you stay up here you'll regret your decision princess. I know you. I've watched you grow from up here. I've seen the decisions you've made and continue to make." He said.
"If I could just see my boys one more time. Just one time." Jada said as she started to cry. She kneeled down and cried silently.
"I can't try and make that happen for you but I don't promise anything. Wait here." Her father said to her and then walked into the door on the left.
Jada sat there and continued to cry silently in that black room with nothing but emptiness. She didn't know what door to choose. She just knew whatever door she chose, she was going to miss those she truly loved.
Moments later her dad came back out of the door on the left, with Jada's babies.
Jada looked up and a smile quickly spread across her face as tears fell harder.
"Jaylen! Kayden! Oh mommy misses you guys already I love you both so much I wish I could just hug you." She said to them as they smiled at her.
"We wub you mama." Jaylen said to her and she felt feeling in her heart again. It felt warm as it pounded.
"You boys are so strong. My babies." She said to them as they continued to smile at her and she smiled back.
"You see Jada? They're happy here. They're ok. And they have me, their grandfather." He said to her.
She looked at her boys.
"I know I can't hug them. But can they hug me? I just need to feel their spirits." She asked her father.
He nodded and they went to hug her, including him.
Jada shed a few tears as she felt their spirits father around her body, hugging her. She felt at ease, she was happy. She didn't want this moment to end. Even though she couldn't touch her father nor her sons, this was enough for her.
She cried harder the longer they held her spiritually. She cried tears of happiness and sadness at the same time. She missed them so much and knew that if she chose the right door, they would only be in her heart, that's the part that made her sad.
As they began to let go, she opened her eyes and tears started to fall more slowly than before.
"Now Jada, we don't have much time. We have to get back soon. What are you going to do? Drop everything and come with us? Or are you going to live for us until the day we meet again? The choice is yours." He said to her as he held her sons hands as the stood by the left door.
Her sons looked at her and she almost melted again. These boys were her whole world and she knew her life would not be the same. She looked at both doors again.
Was she going to live an eternal life with her father and sons and be happy and experience no more pain? There was still a chance she was not one hundred percent pure and may be banished to hell. But her father wasn't perfect, he was a drug dealer and still made it to heaven so she believed she had a chance.
Was she going to live for them in the land of the living? She would experience pains and rough days. But she had her mama still and she had to think about her mama experiencing the pain that she just went through. She thought about her friends, Marcel, and her business.
"So Jada... which do you choose? The time is now honey we have to go." Jada's father said.
She sighed knowing the decision she made was going to effect her for a long time. But she knew she'd get over it.
She walked to the door opening it... then she walked in.
This was it. This was the choice she made. And she could not change it.
