"What's your name? You all in my damn house and I don't know your name." He mumbled.

"So your offering me to stay here for four days, before you even know my name? You really are crazy." I said with a smirk.

Picking with Freckles was entertaining. No, I don't normally, steal spoonfuls of cereal from random men, who continuously drop crutches on the ground in my presence and offer me bedrooms.

He kissed his teeth. "Man, what the fuck is your name you crazy ass girl?" He repeated frustrated.

"Kyra."

He nodded. "Nice name, what does it mean?"

I shrugged. "I don't know. What type of question is that?"

He laughed. "I thought that's what your supposed to ask people with unique names."

"You mean weird." I corrected.

I hate when people wanted to say something, but fear of coming off defensive. That's like lying in my eyes. He wanted to say weird so he should have come out and just said weird.

He shrugged. "That too."

"What's your name?" I asked staring at him.

I was kinda mad, he found another shirt, but I wouldn't stay pressed long. He was funny and snappy. I liked that because I was snappy. I was full of comebacks.

"Cameron."

I nodded. "Cute. Can I call you Freckles?" I questioned with a smile.

He was deep into something on his phone but finally looked up at me, unamused. He was looking at me like I was stupid. "You can call me Cam."

I nodded. "Ok, Freckles." He kissed his teeth.

"You are something else girl."

We were still on the couch. I was watching TV while she played some annoying loud ass game on her phone.

She had went home, took a shower and came back. I don't even know why I let her in. I offered her a place to sleep; not to chill when she's bored. I could give a fuck less if she's bored.

I love watching Martin, I had since I was a little nigga and her disturbing that was rubbing me the wrong way.

"You getting on my fucking nerves, go back in that room or something..." I muttered.

She glanced up and rolled her eyes. "Just for that, I ain't moving a damn inch."

"Please?" I was trying to play nice.

"Please?" She mocked before laughing loud. I scoffed. "Man, you are so impossible. It's fucking ridiculous!" She smile and shrugged.

I got up from the couch and jogged my my bedroom getting my headphones off my dresser. I never let anyone see these but desperate times call for desperate measures.

I sat them on her lap and she look up at me with a confused expression, picking up the headphones.

"They go on your ears." I motioned how to put them on and she kissed her perfect teeth.

"I know how to put headphones on you fuck face."

I chuckled. "Make use of them then."

She looked at them, twisting her arm to see all the details of them. "Are these fake? Fuck is up with you at this off brand shit. You a trunk shopper?"

I was about ready to kill her ass.

"I had them made, you dumb ass girl!" She glared at me. "Did I know that? Dre beats aren't usually red and blue."

"I don't care what you knew. You tried to play me." She laughed. "We'll they are pretty cool."

I nodded. "Put them on and shut up."

She rolled her eyes but still slipped the head phones over her ears. I laid back against my couch cushions and stared at her as she smiled at her game.

She was beautiful; annoying as hell, but beautiful nonetheless.

-

We were still in the same spots for about an hour and a half before she finally slipped my headphones off, sitting them on the coffee table in front of her.

She stuck a finger in her hair and frowned. I wanted to laugh but I wasn't going to; not in front of her.

"I will be back later, you need anything?"

I shook my head no; my eyes planted in the television screen. "No, bye."

She looked down at me and nodded before going in the spare room. She returned with her purse and shoes and walked out of the front door, shutting it behind her as she left.

I chilled on the couch for a while before my doorbell rang. I made my way to the door and smiled when I opened it.

"Hey.." She leaned up and kissed my cheek. I was confused but I couldn't manage to stop smiling.

"What are you doing here Ari?" I asked letting her walk past me.

"Stop asking me all them questions."

I kissed my teeth. "Fuck you mean?"

"Cam, watch it. I'm not one of your little friends. I've been with Austin for like two weeks."

Ari stays with Austin. Don't never wanna come chill with me. She thinks I'm old. I just started drinking. I ain't old; she's young as fuck with her smart mouth ass. Ariel has a smart ass mouth.

"Why you just now making it over here then?" She gave me a look.

"Didn't I just tell you to stop questioning me! I had shit to do Cameron." She rolled her eyes.

"Quit cussing." She scoffed. "Nigga I'm grown."

I shrugged. "Shit, you right. But you not too grown to get your ass beat; remember that."

She laughed and plopped down on my sofa. "Your ankle is broken."

"It won't be forever, and you already know I ain't gone forget." She laughed and gave me a hug.

"I really missed you Cam! How have you been?" I smiled. "I'm cool. I wish I wouldn't have got injured. You could have came to a game for free with Austin. That nigga never miss em."

She smiled. "He gets hoes because he looks just like you. He's piggy backing your swag."

I laughed. "Shit, good for that nigga then. You started college yet?"

"No, couple months; the only reason Daddy let me come down here. You know he not having that shit. I am moving out though."

I gave her a blank look. When did her mouth become so bad? Especially in my mama house. She would whoop yo ass with the first thing she could find when you get out line. She hated profanity.

"Watch your mouth damn.. Where you moving?" I questioned, checking my email.

"Texas."

I bursted out laughing and she frowned. "What's wrong with Texas?"

I waved her off. "Nothing, colleges down there are good but you light as fuck. You gone come back looking like Usain Bolt."

She kissed her teeth. "Shut the fuck up Cam.." She mumbled.

"I swear to god Ari, imma fuck you up if you don't-"

"Okay! My bad, just stop bitch-fussing!"she corrected. "I thought I already had a father."

I flicked her forehead. "Mama gone kill you." She chuckled. "Pops don't give a damn, but Mama gone start popping yo ass."

She giggled. "Last time I was talking to her she told Austin that she had a bar of soap waiting for him. He was shook as hell." She said getting into the movie I was watching.

We chilled and talked for a while before I felt my eyes become low and I drifted off, falling asleep.

-

I felt a tap on my leg and my eyes opened. I didn't realize I had been sleep so long. My house was now dark and the TV was the only light found in the room.

I looked up and Kyra was standing over me. I instantly groaned at her presence. Fuck does this girl want now?

"Don't touch me. How the fuck you get back in here?"

"Your sister let me in. She's nice. She told me to tell you bye."

"My sister?"

She nodded and smiled. "Yeah, Ariel. She and I were talking. She accidentally thought I was your girl.." She giggled.

My eyes bulged out. "What? Why the fuck is you talking to my family?! What the fuck do you want?"

She rolled her eyes. "I was just telling you that I brought you some food as a thanks for letting me crash here you asshole." A flash of hurt showed in her eyes but it disappeared as quickly as it came.

She dropped the bag on my stomach and walked away into the kitchen.

I followed into the kitchen at sat my bag on the counter. She looked up at me and quickly went back to her food.

I sat across from her and opened the container, biting into my burger. It was good as hell, one of the best burgers I had ever tasted. I wondered where she had got it from.

Her head stayed down as she ate her food. I kept stealing glances at her but she refused to look at me. Even when she finished, she didn't move; she stayed in the same spot.

"Thank you." I mumbled taking a sip of my soda.

She finally looked up and nodded.

She threw both of our plates away and stood to her feet. She glanced at me quickly before walking out of the kitchen.

As I made my way from the kitchen, cutting the lights off, she was walking from the guest room with her purse and shoes.

She stepped into her shoes and looked up at me silently.

Since I'd met her, she had never been quiet. Kyra was the furthest from quiet so the fact that she was, was weird. I wouldn't question it much though.

"Where are you going?" I questioned.

"Home." She mumbled.

I glanced down at my watch and frowned. "Why? It's one in the morning?"

She sighed. "I'm not a big fan of being places I'm not welcome. Since you've met me, you've been nothing less of an asshole and at first, I found it funny, but now touching you the slightest bit because I brought you some food makes you go off on me?" She chuckled.

"Like you said. The front door is right there. Fuck I gotta argue with you for?"

She tried to walk away and I grabbed her arm stumbling. She stopped and pushed me back slightly, holding my back so that I could stand straight. "I'm not letting you sleep on no floor."

She yanked her arm from my grip. "It's better than here. I breathe wrong and I'm annoying."

I sighed. "I ain't mean to-"

She cut me off. "You did. But that's fine." She curved her lips a little and walked out, shutting the door behind her.

I ran my hands over my face and frowned as I let my body fall limp against the couch.
