《The only one of his kind》Chapter 22 may go either way

I stood there for some seconds confused, after Lizzie walked away. I'm not sure what exactly what she meant by what she said. I brushed it off me and went upstairs.
As I walked I felt someone was watching me, so I turned around. To my surprise no one was there. Guess it was just a feeling.
I was now outside my door. I saw something under the door. It looked like a paper. I took it up and outside it stood my name. I opened the note up and inside was written ''meet me tomorrow, at 12:00 pm. Where it all began''. That was it. It was no clue who it was from, and I don't know where it was or who I'm meeting.
Before I could think more the door opened, revealing Jed. ''dude why are you outside? Come in'', he said. He went back to his bed, and I went inside. I went to my bed and laid down. Holding the note up, wondering who the mystic person is.
''love note or something?'', Jed asked curious looking at me. ''ehm. Don't know. Just a note saying I'm meeting someone at 12:00, where it all began. No name or something to whom it is''. He just looked at me and began to smile. ''what's with the creepy smile dude?''. He began to speak ''dude are you stupid? It says meet me where it all began, right? Who do you think it's from? Think Nick. think''.
I started thinking, but I honestly didn't know where to start. I looked at the note again and the handwriting looked familiar, but I couldn't set my finger on it. I kept starring at it and starring. Until I remember who's handwriting it is. I looked up at Jed saying ''Hope?''. He clapped his hands and said ''yeah figured out now, didn't you. You know for having some decent grades, you can be dumb sometimes''. ''shut up asshole'', I said.
I paused for a minute looking at the note, then back at Jed ''why do you think she wants to meet up with me?''. ''don't know man. Maybe to talk or to blow some steam'', he said smirking. ''blow some steam. What are y...'', then I stopped knowing what he meant about that. ''dude. Get your head out of the nasty. She's with Landon, and we are friends''. Jed looked at me saying ''you sure about that? I mean I saw you two almost kissing at the stairs today''. I looked away not knowing what to say.

I looked back at the note saying to Jed ''first, don't watch people when they're talking. Second, we almost kissed but it didn't happen. Plus, she's with Landon. How many times must I say this to you?''.
Jed laughed at me saying ''sorry dude. Okay she may be with Landon, but she also has her eyes for you. Plus, your single now right?''. I answered him ''yeah I am. We and Liz called it quits. She even wants to help me to get with Hope''. ''see even Lizzie is digging Honi''. I looked at Jed with a confused look on my face ''Honi? What is Honi?'', I asked. ''it's your and Hope's ship name. Came up with it myself'', he said proudly.
I cringed at that ''man get a hobby or something. Instead of keeping your nose in my love life'', I said. he laughed and said ''nah bro. Me and you are wolf brothers, and like it or not I'll be in your life sticking my nose sometimes in ya business''.
''you know what. I'm just going to say goodnight. So, goodnight Jed. See you tomorrow''. ''yeah, yeah. I'm getting the hint. Night Nick''.
After that it went quiet, and I fell asleep.
Next day
My alarm started buzzing. I stopped it and woke up. saw the clock was 9:00 pm. I saw Jed still sleeping. So, I taught about doing something. I stood up from the bed and went over to the speaker. Plugging my phone in and volume on full. Then I played some music.
When I hit the play button and the music blasted. Jed fell off the bed. I couldn't stop laughing, and man he was pissed.
He got himself up and walked over to the speaker, taking my phone out my hand. Unplugging the speaker. He looked at me and I still laughed. ''douchebag'', he said as he left to go to the bathroom.
I took the opportunity to take some clothes on. I took a grey t-shirt and over it I had the Salvatore boarding school jacket. Took a pair of blue jeans. Then Jed came out of the bathroom. Not saying a word to me.

I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. After I was done, I went back in my room. Jed was not in there. Guessing he still is pissed at me.
I walked out the door, going to my class. I was going then I bumped into someone. They lost their books so, I helped them getting it up for them. As I was done and got up to give them their books. I saw it was Landon. ''hey'', I said. ''hey'', he answered back. We just stood there for some seconds, then he broke the silence ''look, I want us to have a relationship. So, what do you say? Do you want to try be friends/brothers?''. I looked up at him and answered ''yeah. We are after all half brothers so, why not try''. Then I took my hand out to him. He gladly took his out and we shook hands. ''well, better be going to class. See you later'', I said. He said ''yeah see you later Nick. Then we went our ways.
I was in front of my classroom. I started walking in and saw Hope. I forgot she also had creatures advance 4.
I looked for available seats in the class. I saw my seat next to Jed was taken by a girl. Guess he's pretty mad for earlier today. I just smiled as I was thinking about that. Then I saw the only available seat was next to Hope. I went over there.
I was next to Hope. ''Hope, hey. Is this seat taken?''. She looked at me smiling saying ''Nick, hey. Actually, no. Lizzie's not coming so, the seat is available''. ''oh, okay. Is it okay for you if I sit here?''. ''of course'', she answered.
I took the seat next to Hope. I reached my backpack for the books, then I saw the note and remembered. I looked back at Hope, who was looking out the window. Guess this is my opportunity to ask her. ''Hope?''. she turned around and looked at me ''I was just wondering. Did you write this note?'', I said as I held up the note. She took the note and opened it up. She read it and gave it to me back. ''no, but I have the same note''. Then she took a piece of paper from her jacket pockets, holding it up.
''I thought this were from you. As I recognized this from your handwriting'', Hope said. ''yeah me too. I thought this was yours handwriting as well''. We both looked at each other. Not knowing who this note is from. Then I understood, who was behind this all. Lizzie Saltzman.
''I think I know who it's from'', I said. ''who'', Hope asked. ''Lizzie''. ''wait, Lizzie. Why, how?'' ''well, I think she did it by magic. Guess she spelled our notes to our handwritings. Looking like it was us who wrote it. The why. I don't really know yet'', I said actually knowing why. ''well, what did she mean by where it all started then?'', Hope asked. I looked away from Hope and back at the note, then it hit me. ''guessing where we met for the first time. In the garden'', I said.
Hope looked at me saying ''yeah makes sense. I actually thought it was there. So, I was going to go there 12:00 pm. Were you?'', she asked me. ''yeah, I was'', I answered her. ''maybe we should? I mean she clearly wants us to be there together. So, what do you say Nio. Should we go there together at 12:00 pm?''. I looked at her. She was smiling at me. ''yeah we should Hopey'', I said smiling back at her. Before we could say anything more, the teacher came in. ''let's start this class'', the teacher said.
I Have a feeling whatever Lizzie is planning, may go either way.

Will he keep his generally kind, sweet nature despite the shit he's gone through and will go through, or will he inexplicably become a scary, violent, irrational arrogant douchebag? Will he use his newfound abilities to explore the multiverse and improve the lives of himself and others, or will he become his own antithesis, a purely mercantile jerk obsessed with money and profit, with no concern for anything that doesn't help or hurt his business? Find out in The Curio Shoppe! Author's note: Please suggest possible setting he could visit in the comments. I'll gather ones i'm familiar with, and at the end of every arc, a poll will be held to decide the next location he visits. There will be polls for other purposes, and I might not always go with the poll winner if I feel one of the other options is more fun to read/write about. I will not use the settings of other RRL writers without their permission.Do not ask for that, unless the author in question gives permission. Most settings he visits will be slightly AU in some way or another, but please remind me if I drift too far from canon unintentionally or characterize a character wrongly. This work will eventually fit all tags I selected once he visits universes suited to those tags, so don't ask when or where a given tag is coming. I do not own the cover art, it belongs to Nicholas Belanger Thiel, and I will stop using it if he asks me to. Kellan doesn't look like the old man on the cover, though once he acquires a disguise-type ability he may occasionally use that appearance. The tapir, however, will be a thing, as despite looking like a failed attempt at an elephant, tapirs are cool and this dragon finds them to be kinda cute. The art, along with more of Nicholas's pieces, can be found at https://www.artstation.com/artwork/51bXz
