As we walked in. Everyone was sitting. Looked like they were talking. Mr S was the one to first get up when we came in.

He came in our direction.

He was beside me and took his hand on my shoulder saying ''Nick I just want to apologize. It was never my intention for something like this to happen. I want you to know. I'll do almost everything to protect you son. To protect all of you'', he said looking at me and at the last word looking at the others.

I looked at Alaric and said ''thanks mr S''. He looked at Hope saying ''Hope. I haven't said this to you often. You're doing a good job kiddo. You're just a kid yourself, and here you are. Saving lives and stopping monsters these past years. It's not your job, but you do it either way. I'm proud, and I have a feeling that your parents are also proud of the young lady you are today''.

Hope smiled at Alaric as he said that. There were also some tears escaping her eyes. She hugged him also.

As both of them parted away from the hug. Mr S turned around to face the others saying ''to all of you too. I'm proud. Even if we have had some ups and downs in the school. You all helped to save it. I'm proud of every and each of you''.

Everyone looked at mr S. I saw Lizzie and Josie nodding to each other. Then walking over to their father hugging him.

As I saw this. I couldn't help but feel happy. Happy for all of them who's in the room. All I want is to protect them for whatever threats that comes. Even if it means I have some difficult choices to make. I'll try to make those who will not harm them.

As Lizzie parted away from her sister and father. She looked at me. Then she whispered ''we have to talk''. I could hear it as I have wolf hearing. So, I nodded.

Alaric began to speak ''well, kids. It's late. You all have classes tomorrow. We'll deal whatever plan Malivore has. However, for now. Focus on schoolwork and your normal life''. Everyone nodded and began to go.

I saw Hope going first and Landon behind her. Then all the others.

Now in the room was me and Lizzie.

She began to come closer to me. Now she was in front of me. She started saying ''Nick. I know we agreed to try again, but I see the way you look at her. Even though you say I'm not a second, it kind of feels like it. I don't wanna be between you and Hope, even Landon for that matters. So, I think it's better if we just stay friends. Like before we started dating. Just old fashion good buddies. So, what do you say?''.

I looked at Lizzie, giving her a light smile saying ''I understand Lizzie. It's okay. Friends it is''. I took my hands and reached out to her. She accepted it and shook it. ''now that we are friends. I'll try and help you and Hope to get together'', she said. I looked at her with confusion on my face saying ''what? Liz I don't think that's a g...'', she cut me off. ''uh nono. It's clear you both are so in love with each other, and I'm going to help you for her to realize that. She and Landon loves each other, but you and her is like an epic love or something. It's more stronger than what her and Landon have. She however, doesn't see it. So, I'll help her. And no, you can't stop me Nick'', she said. Before I could say anything she left.

Leaving me there confused, at what just happened.
