《Danganronpa: Retirement Plan》Prologue: Last Day Of Work [3]

Upon going back into the hallway, we came across a tall woman with white hair. She was rather stylist, though her most notable feature was her finger nails.
"Oh, it's the twins," She said upon seeing us.
Is that most memorable thing about myself? That I'm a twin?
"Yep. That's us." I replied. "I'm Felix and this is my sister, Fawn. I'm the Ex Ultimate Lucky Student and she's the Ex Ultimate Digital Artist."
"An artist, you say?" She looked too my sister, before looking up and down at her. "It's always nice to meet someone with good taste."
Good taste? Fawn's just wearing a sweater, ripped jeans, converse, and a beanie.
That's as basic as it gets.
The white haired woman then looked up and down at me, clearly unimpressed by my hoodie and jeans.
Almost as basic as it gets.
"I doubt you two would recognize my name, but I'm Quartz." She introduced herself. "Ex Ultimate Hand Model."
Quartz (She/Her)
Ex Ultimate Hand Model
That explains her nice fingernails.
"How did you lose your talent? Is hand modeling a competitive industry?" I questioned Quartz.
"The modeling industry is always competitive," Quartz corrected. "If you can't keep you, you'll be left behind and forgotten."
"That sounds awful." I said. "I'm sorry that happened to you."
"That's alright." She didn't seem too bothered by it. "This kinda thing happens a lot."
"A lot?" My sister questioned her.
"Ultimates in the modeling industry are always being titled and having their titles ''recalled'' for someone else to get them." Explained she. "I'll probably have my talent again by next week."
Wish I could say the same for myself...
"We'll see you are around, Quartz." I said my farewell.
"See ya." She waved, before moving along. Fawn and I did the same.
Once Quartz was far away from us and no one else was nearby, Fawn turned to me. She seemed nervous; it become quite apparent she started speaking.
"What are we going to do?" Fawn asked me, her brown eyes unable to lock with mine. "About the game, I mean. I don't want to stay here forever."
"We'll probably find a way out soon or the authorities will find us from how long we've been missing." I replied, trying to comfort her. "We'll get out of here. Promise."
"But what if we don't find a way out and no one comes for us?" She questioned, pulled her beanie over her eyes in fear. "What if something bad happens? What if..."
"We'll be fine, Fawn," I assured her, brushing off all her concerns. "Nobody here is capable of murder."
Before Fawn could reply, a door to one of the room's opened. Out walked a boy in an oversized lab coat and green safety goggles. He had a brown leaf print shirt tucked into his jeans. His hair was green, but visible brown roots were poking out of the top of his head. He had a rather nervous and closed off demeanor much like my twin sister.
"Hey. What's your name?" I went straight to the point. "I'm Felix, Ex Lucky Student and this is my sister, Fawn. Ex Digital Artist."
"Oh, uh, I-I'm Blane." He stuttered. "Ex Ultimate Biologist. N-Nice to m-meet you, I guess?"
Blane (He/Him)
Ex Ultimate Biologist
Biology? I'm pretty sure I failed that class in high school.
"That's really cool!" I told him. "The talent part, not the being a former Ultimate."

"Th-Thanks." Blane awkwardly thanked me.
Blane didn't know what to do now. He looked around, before trying to take out his PetalPad causally. It didn't help his case when he nearly dropped it.
"H-Have you checked out the f-f-functions of this, yet?" He questioned.
"No, we haven't." I said.
"You sh-should." He recommended, putting his device away. He then retraced his steps to his room.
I look to my sister who gave me a small nod. I pulled out my PetalPad for both of us to look at it.
"We should probably look at the rules. All this other stuff seems to still be downloading onto the device." Fawn suggested.
I clicked on the ''Rules'' and a list popped up.
1 - Violence against Tiger or Wolf is strictly forbidden. Doing so will result in punishment.
2 - Neither Tiger nor Wolf can not interfere with murder or murder plots. Doing so will result in their deactivation.
3 - Certain areas may close after 10 pm and reopen at 7 am. Entering a closed area will result in punishment.
4 - Damaging mansion property or entering restricted areas will not be tolerated. Doing so will result in punishment.
5 - No one may kill more than 2 participants. Doing so will result in immediate execution without a class trial.
6 - When a murder occurs, three innocent participants must discovery the body to trigger the Body Discovery Announcement.
7 - Once the BDA has gone off, participants will be given an hour to investigate the body. If participants fail to appear at the elevator within 15 minutes after investigation then they will be punished.
8 - Attendance to the Class Trial is mandatory—unless participant's life is at risk then an exception will be made until that participant's recovery.
9 - Refusal to vote at the end of a Class Trial will result in execution.
10 - If the blacken is caught for their crime in the class trial, they will be punished and the spotless will continue living out the rest of their lives in the mansion. If the killer gets away with their crime they alone will go free, while the spotless are punished.
11 - More rules can be added at anytime outside of a class trial period.
"They must really be leaning into this whole-murder thing." I blurted.
If they went through all the trouble of sending us letters and kidnapping us, surely the killing game isn't a joke.
They're actually expecting us to kill for our talents.
...
"Hey." Fawn tapped my shoulder to bring me back to reality. She looked towards two people walking down the hallway together. "People."
One had strawberry blonde hair and thick glasses. They wore black suspenders and a white shirt; a pink bowtie was the only splatter of color in their monochrome outfit.
The other had more casual clothes, a purple t-shirt and black miniskirt. They had deep red hair pulled tightly into a single hair bun with a golden hair clip that kept her hair out of her face.
"Do you want to give this one a go?" I asked Fawn.
"Wh-What?" She stumbled, trying to hide behind me as the people approached us.
"They probably won't bite." I stepped out of her way, allowing her to lead. "You can do it. Introduce yourself to them."
My sister awkwardly stood before the two strangers, pulling at her loose sweater. She took some time to caught her breathe before finally opening her mouth to speak.
Come on... You don't need me to talk for you.

"H-Hi." Her voice started out shakey. "My name is Fawn and I'm the Ultimate, uhh... Digital Artist. I-I mean, Ex Ultimate! I'm the Ex Ultimate Digital Artist."
She did much better earlier with Rory. But she tried so I guess I can meet her halfway.
"And I'm her brother." I said, though it felt weird to say aloud. "You can call me Felix. I'm the Ex Ultimate Lucky Student."
Fawn gave me a relieved glance, signifying my takeover of all the talking. She's stepped out of her comfort a lot recently, so I should let her ease back some.
"It's wonderful to meet you two!" The blonde male with glasses spoke first. "My name is Isaiah. Don't laugh, but I'm the Ex Ultimate Romance Novelist."
Isaiah (He/Him)
Ex Ultimate Romance Novelist
"Why would we laugh?" Fawn titled her head in confusion. "That's really cool."
"Yeah!" I added on. I tried to hide my surprise from seeing my sister speak to other people. "I may not read much, but romance is the best genre without a doubt."
"That's so nice of you two to say, thank you." Isaiah thanked us.
"Personally I prefer mystery as a genre." The redhead said.
The three of us all turned, slowly looking to her. She crossed her arms not intimidated by any of us.
"The name's Minerva." She told us. "I tend to enjoy a challenge when I read fiction. Like solving the mystery before the characters in the story do."
"That's understandable." Isaiah assured her.
"I dunno," I shrugged. "Mystery always frustrates me. However, romance is so simple and easy to understand."
"Are you an author as well?" My sister curiously asked her, easing her way into talking with fellow creatives.
"Yes, but also no." Minerva shook her head. "I have published works online, but I'm the Ex Ultimate Journalist rather than an entertainment author like Isaiah is."
Minerva (She/Her)
Ex Ultimate Journalist
I wanted to asked how Minerva lost her talent, but a brunette woman dashing down the hallway interrupted us. She didn't hesitate to shove Isaiah out of her way either. She was determined to do something and she wouldn't let anyone stand in her way.
"Hey!" Minerva shouted at her. "You need to apologize for shoving Isaiah like that!"
"It's alright," He sighed, adjusting his glasses. "She's probably in a hurry."
"You shouldn't let people push you around because you feel like what their doing is more important than what you're doing." Said the redhead with a hair bun.
"Yeah!" I agreed. "Plus, Fawn and I haven't met her yet."
At some point the runner has turned around and ran back to us. Her form was perfect and she didn't seem a second out of breath from running everywhere.
"Sorry, about that..." The brunette apologized, having forgotten the romance novelist's name.
"Isaiah." Isaiah told her. "It's Isaiah."
"Sorry, Isaiah." She repeated. "I've been doing laps around the building trying to find an exit."
"And?" I gestured for her to go on.
"Zilch." Replied the brunette with a heavy breath.
"That sucks." I said with a much lighter tone than I intended. I then faced her. "You must be some kind of athlete, right?"
There was an odd pause where Minerva gave me a glare as if I had sat on a deceased person's gravestone. She quickly slipped away, Isaiah following her lead. Brunette girl did the same, yet she didn't completely leave the scene. Only backed up a few feet.
"I am. Well, I was." She corrected herself. "I can't run nearly as fast as I used too with this stupid ankle injury."
My eyes went down, watching as she clicked her heels together. Her right ankle had black brace underneath her shoe. Despite having supposedly been running around everywhere, her ankle seemed perfectly fine excluding the brace.
"Ex Ultimate Track Star. Vanessa." She followed up by giving her name.
Vanessa (She/Her)
Ex Ultimate Track Star
"Should you be running if your ankle is injured?" I questioned her.
"My doctor said I would be fine as long I don't run much and I'm wearing the brace all the time." Vanessa explained. "It's basically healed at this point, just not to its former strength."
And running laps around the building isn't much apparently.
"I should take it slow and jog on my way to the kitchen, though." Vanessa spoke aloud. She proceeded to jog away towards the kitchen.
My sister I continued down the hallway discovering a storage closet. We attempted to look inside, but since we had no light it was useless trying to navigate our way throughout the giant closet.
Soon we came a barricade in the hallway. It left us with two rooms we had yet to explore. The first, a rather large recreational room. There was a total of five couches along with a giant plasma screen TV inside. Two people seemed to have found a way to play games on the TV, since they were playing a racing game with steering wheel controllers. The person was decked out in leather and mesh clothing, medium length black hair with a small part that was red. While the man in a black suit with a vibrant purple tie, looking very professional. His dark orange hair was neatly slicked back.
"Cheater!" The person lying in a weird position on the couch complained. "Your using your talent to your advantage."
"You did challenge me to a racing after hearing my talent." Clarified the male who sat upright in the same couch.
"I didn't think I would actually lose to a taxi driver." They crossed their arms, putting the controller down.
"I'm not a taxi driver." Sighed the man. "I'm a chauffeur."
"A chauffeur?" I questioned him, making Fawn and I's presence known.
"Of course." Nodded the orangette, standing to speak with me. "I may be the Ex Ultimate Chauffeur, but that doesn't make me any less a chauffeur."
"Wow! If I ever get the money to rent a limo, I'll definitely hire you..." I paused when I didn't know his name.
"Zenith." He said. "I would love too, however, I have a client that demands I be available 24/7 to drive him places."
Zenith (He/Him)
Ex Ultimate Chauffeur
"Hehe, that's alright." I told him. "The chances of me getting that much money ever in my life are pretty small."
Unless I had an Ultimate talent to make my application worth looking at...
"It's nice to met you, Zenith." I said. "I'm Felix, Ex Ultimate Lucky Student. And this is my sister, Fawn. Ex Ultimate Digital Artist."
"Pfft. How do you lose your talent of being the Ultimate Lucky Student? By being unlucky?" Guessed the person in lots of mesh.
...or maybe not being a student.
"Well clearly you lost your talent as well, otherwise you wouldn't be here." I scoffed.
"Yeah, but I would still have my talent if I wouldn't have gotten caught." They grumbled, peaking over the back of the couch. "Getting arrested really gave me a downgrade from Ultimate Hacker to Ex Ultimate Hacker."
"Arrested?!" I gasped. "What did you do?!"
"I'll give you a hint," They frowned. "It's starts with ''H'' and ends with ''acking''."
Haha. Very funny.
"What did you do specifically to get arrested?" I rephrased my question.
"Oh, I hacked into some big bank and took some money." Replied the hacker nonchalantly. "I almost got away with it, too..."
"I don't think theft is something you should be proud of." Zenith pointed out to them.
"I'm not proud of it!" They defended. "I got caught, so obviously I need to do better next time."
"Next time?" I asked, before shaking my head. "Nevermind. I just want to know your name."
"My name is pretty boring, and, like, super top secret information, but you can just call me Skyler." They said.
Skyler (They/Them)
Ex Ultimate Hacker
"Wanna play a different game, Z?" Skyler slumped down on the couch, lazily reaching for the controller. "I'm sick of getting beat."
"Alright." Zenith agreed.
Fawn and I left those two to continue their gaming. We decided to head into the last room we had yet to enter. The laundry room. Two people where in there, unlike the last two they were not interacting with one another. The tall pinkette was investigating the detergent, while the male with a visor just leaned against the wall. He had a bored expression on his face, though something about the aura around him intimidated me.
I'll talk with him first. I shouldn't let my fear bubble and grow. I'll face it head and hopefully it wouldn't be as scary as I'm imagining it to me.
"Hey. How's it going?" I enthusiastically asked, as I approached him. Fawn was behind me as always.
"Fine." He gave a short reply.
Someone's talkative today.
"I see your prepared for the outdoors," I complimented him, based on his visor, polo shirt, and shorts. "Does that have to do with your talent by any chance?"
"Yeah. It does." He nodded.
"Can you tell what it is?" I asked.
"You first." He said, his face from my question.
Maybe he's just embarrassed by his talent? Or, rather, his lack of talent.
...I understand that.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Felix! Ex Ultimate Lucky Student." I introduced myself. "And this is my sister, Fawn. She's the Ex Ultimate Digital Artist."
I waited for the guy to introduce himself, but he still stood there. He didn't display any expression, though I had a feeling he was anxious.
"It's alright." I told him. "We won't make fun of you for your talent."
"It's not really my talent that's embarrassing," He explained. "It's how I lost it."
"You can just tell us your name and talent." I said. "If you aren't comfortable telling us why you lost it then you don't have too."
"Oh, uh, alright, then," His eyes widened. "The name's Gabriel. I'm the Ex Ultimate Tennis Pro."
Gabriel (He/Him)
Ex Ultimate Tennis Pro
"That's cool! I've never played tennis before, but it definitely seems like a fun one to play." I said.
"You don't need to say that." Gabriel replied.
"What?" I blinked.
"You don't need to say you like my talent or the sport I play because I'm around." Clarified the tennis player. "Tennis fucking sucks."
...
"I guess I'll you see around then, Gabriel?" I smiled.
"Uh, yeah," He awkwardly agreed.
I left him alone to go see how the pinkette in a trench coat was doing. She was still investigating the washing detergent like it was poison at a crime scene.
"Whatcha doing?" I questioned, getting a quick turn and flinch from her.
"...oh, nothing." She mumbled, relaxing herself. "What do you want from me?"
"Just your name and talent and I'll let you go back to sniffing the laundry detergent."
"Amelia. Ex Ultimate Coroner."
Ameila (She/Her)
Ex Ultimate Coroner
"A what...?" I questioned her.
"I told you my talent, now leave me alone." Amelia requested, subtle anger in her tone.
"Yeah, Felix," Fawn pulled at my hoodie. "Let's go."
"But I don't know what coroner is, Fawn," I argued with her wanting to stay.
"You probably don't want to know considering our situation." The pinkette threatened.
"Hmm." I frowned, letting my guard down for Fawn to drag me out of the room.
Once we made it outside the laundry room, I figured I would ask her a few things that were on my mind.
"Do you know what a coroner is?" I joked.
"No..." She shook her head. "Is that all you're worried about right now?"
"I'm still doubting this killing game thing," I explained to my sister. "How would they even retitle us?"
"I... I don't know." Fawn shrugged. "What if they don't plan retitle us? They know that we're all desperate for our talents, so we end of killing for an empty promise."
"Our promise isn't empty!" A familiar voice stated, a slight echo following them.

The seven worlds have been a place of war and carnage for hundreds of years. The strong enslave the weak and take over their world just to have some extra space. A race of demi-humans takes over the priceless first world for years. The humans grow tired of living in the lower worlds and challenge the demi-humans to war. Armad is an innocent bystander from the third world whose village is engulfed by the war. He doesn't care about ambitious humans or greedy demi-humans. All he wants is to save his dying mother. Will he be left alone to cater to his mother, or will the universe be cruel enough to stand against him? *** Rpg system has no stats or leveling up (not in the traditional way), but there are numbers. MC is strong from the word go and he has a specific goal. He's also learned many skills before the beginning of the novel, so don't expect a murderhobo for levels. That being said, the mc will grow stronger and will have become so strong (not overpowered) by the end of the first book. There are many races besides humans but they are not the main focus of the story, so they will only appear when the plot involves them. This novel is dedicated to the late William Wilberforce. *** I made the cover picture from picart. Original images don't belong to me. If you are the owner and you want it removed just pm me.
