Hermione, like always, was bored. Sitting in one spot for a long period of time, never seemed to be easy for the girl. "How much longer!" She whined as she fiddled with her arrows. "Soon, 'Mione. God do you have to be so impatient." She nodded. Turning to Felix as she did so, "Can't we just go look for them, element of surprise?" Felix shook his head, "As much as I'd prefer that than waiting. I think we should stick to Pan's plan."
The group of Lost boys and Hermione waited in the shadows. Not moving unless instructed to. "Now!" Felix whisper - yelled as he saw Pan and Henry in the distance. The boys hollered and shrieked. Hermione couldn't hear what Henry and Pan where talking about but both boys seemed panicked by the situation. Damn, Peter was a good actor.
The boys ran their way. Hermione readied herself to chase them; she'd been waiting for the moment since she found out about the plan. As the two passed Felix pulled her down so she wasn't seen. "Shouldn't we go." Felix held up three fingers indicating he was going to count down. But Hermione took it upon herself to make a run for it, the shouting Lost Boys following her.
Hermione slowed down as she neared the cliff, she was too close to Peter and Henry but she was too far from the boys to go back. So Hermione decided to wait. Listening to the conversation Henry and Peter where having in the distance. "What do we do?" The panic in the young boys voice made Hermione chuckle as the boys shouts drew nearer. "Is there another way to the Echo Caves?" Hermione peered round the corner, catching a glimpse of the two boys, "No, we're done for." Hermione couldn't help but smile, the plan was perfect. "I'll give them the pixie dust." Pan said pointing out he had the magical source. "Maybe they'll let us live!" Hermione peered round the opening now, "You want to give up?" Peter looked around, smiling as he caught glimpse of her. "We don't have a choice. They got us. This is the end." Hermione watched as Henry tugged the small bottle of pixie dust from Peter. "That's our way out."

She panicked as Henry pulled Pan back, she quickly hid herself, not wanting to be seen by the boy. Once again the shreeks and screeches came from the lost boys; they were close. "Getting a running start!" she heard Henry say, "For what?" "Everyone knows pixie dust is for flying." Hermione had begun to take a few steps back from the cliff, she needed to look like she had entered with the lost boys. "I definitely do not believe!" Hermione caught a glimpse of Henry opening the dust before he darted off the cliff, taking Peter with him.
That was Hermione's que. Felix eventually caught up and the two ran to the cliffs edge together. The lost boys watched in awe as they saw their leader and the truest believer soaring above them. "That kid is definitely the truest believer." Hermione muttered as she saw the last of the green dust.

Hermione and the lost boys made their way to the next spot in the plan. The boys ran through the woods, Hermione jumping onto Devin's back as they ran through the trees. "Now we wait until the signal." Felix said, aiming his comment towards Hermione. "I'll be patient geez."
"If you believe, anything is possible." Hermione's natural smirk made its way on her face, as she prepared herself for the next step in Pans plan. "You couldn't be more right Henry." She watched as Henry's face changed from a happy one to a more confused one. "How- How do you know my name? I never told you." Hermione waited, "Let's make it a game." and waited. "A puzzle to solve." and she waited more, fiddling with her arrow head became on obsession. "You lied to me. You are a lost boy, you work for Pan" Hermione couldn't help but snicker, causing Felix to slap his hand over her mouth. "Not exactly." Peter got closer to Henry, raising his eyebrow slightly. "I am Peter Pan."

Henry began asking questions, non of which Hermione seemed interested in. "Why did you bring me here?" This she wanted to listen too. "For quite some time, I've sought something extremely important. Something more elusive, than the greatest of all mysteries." Pan began to pace around Henry; something he had picked up from Hermione's constant habit, "The heart of the truest believer."
Henry seemed to get more confused with every step Pan took. What confused the boy more was why, he kept knocking on the trees. "You proved yourself!" Pan paced some more, "Your the lucky owner of that very special heart. And now you and it. Are mine." As Pan unsheathed his dagger he shouted, "Come on boys!" That was the signal, the very signal that notified the Lost Boys to come out.
"And girl!" Hermione shouted as she came from the bushes with Felix. "How could I forget you?" Hermione watched as Henry turned, "A lost girl?" She gave him a smirk, paired with a spine - chilling wave. "Is that so hard for the truest believer to believe?" She asked as she circled the boy until she was side by side with Peter. He swung an arm over her shoulder. "Let's Play!"

Seeker
The Gods are dead As they bled dry, so did the magic which gave them birth. In the new era of technology, its pathetic remnants must hide in the shadows or be locked away. In the ancient era of magic two beings often stood out: Galileo, an immortal scholar obsessed with knowledge and Angelica, the most loyal servant of the greatest among the now dead Gods. But why are they worthy of mention? Because after millennia of isolation, the two emerge in the new world beyond their reckoning. The entire story is told from the third person, however, each chapter will be told from the perspective of only one of the characters. This will be signified by the first letter of their names after the chapter number to avoid confusion. I submitted this fiction as a [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] as well as a participant in National Novel Writing Month. The original challenge had been to finish this entire faction within the month of November reaching the 55.5k word minimum. This goal had been achieved. I do not own the cover picture
