Stretching at the sudden rise of the sun, Hermione woke up next to Peter, just like she had done for the past few months since that certain game. She crept past him, only to be pulled back into the warmth of the bed. "Where you going love?" Hermione smiled as the boys sleepy voice. "Hunting, it's my turn remember." She chuckled at the lost boys sigh, "Be careful." She nodded, before jumping from the treehouse into the camp.
Just like every morning, the lost boys whistled as she left Pan's cabin. "This will never get old." She muttered to herself as she pulled on her cloak. "Throw me a bow!" She shouted casually, as she began walking and, like always one of the lost boys threw her the equipment. She caught it with ease before running off into the woods.
------------
Hermione returned to camp pulling along two deer. "Hunting went well then?" Hermione nodded as she struggled to pull along the two dead beasts. "Leave them love." Peter said as he kissed her forehead. "One of the boys will get them."
------------
Nightfall was slowly approaching when Pan arranged a meeting with the boys. "The truest believer will be here tonight." Hermione nodded, she had learned about the truest believer within her first few months of being a Lost Girl. She knew that Pan needed his heart to stay alive, and to keep the island alive. "What's the plan?" Felix asked, gaining Hermione's interest. "Well, I'm going to get Henry. And say I'm helping him." Pan explained his plan to the group. The lost boys were quickly on board. "So we chase you to the cliff?" Hermione added, causing Peter to nod. "Then what?" Peter smirked, "Pixie dust. I'm sure if Henry's the truest believer he'll think of something."

"Peter?" Hermione shouted as she ran after the lost boy, "Please be careful." He nodded. "Anything for you. Stay with Felix okay?" Hermione nodded, leaving a small peck on the light of her life's lips. "Now get into position." Hermione nodded before running off with Felix. She watched from a distance as Peter collected Henry. 'Saving him from Pan and the lost boys' The plan was perfect.

[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] - Winner November 2020 When a young woman is lured back to her homeland for the opportunity of a life time, she must face old fears. But never would she think that facing up to her past would change everything. Is History written by the victors, or by someone or something else...? *** I started writing this a few years ago and eventually fell out of love with it. I never finished it and my newer books are being written in different writing style, and genre with a more planned process. I decided to revisit it for the writathon and found that it wasn't as hopeless as I'd come to think. Hopefully, I've improved as a writer since them so the consistency may vary. Its been good to revisit and analyse my writing which I feel used to have some clunky and obvious dialogue which I'm trying to fix. This will always be my first novel and I hope, with a little exposure, I may come to like it again. Thanks for reading!
