《Songbird (PeterPan//OUAT)》Chapter 1: The Beginning

I frowned as I saw the little blue bird hop around, fluttering its right wing but leaving its left completely motionless. I stepped towards it and smiled slightly before taking its small body into my small hands and soothing it by brushing its head softly. "It's okay little one. I'll help you." I said as rubbed my pinky finger gently over its head. The bird seemed to nod as I opened my mouth and let my voice soothe it as I gathered leaves and small twigs to make a makeshift sling. I paused in my singing to talk to the little bird, "This is going to hurt, lad, brace yourself." And with that I continued singing and allowed my voice to captivate the little bird so he won't be in much pain. My plan worked as I tied of the cast and brought the bird with me to my little RV. I opened the hatch that led to the patio roof and set the bird on a towel in the corner. "Now, when that is completely healed its off you go to your family okay?" I said sternly to the little bird. He tweeted before flapping up with a tweet. I smiled and sucked in a breathe as I watched the little blue bird hop around. "Calm down little one, now I must get back to the photo shoot, do not cause trouble please." I said softly as I soothed him one last time and walked out. When I did I was immediately ushered in front of a large tree with autumn leaves and the sun shining brightly through the leaves.
"I am not wearing that. I'm sorry, but it isn't my style." I rejected as politely as I could.
"I'm sorry, all of this make-up just seems unnecessary and I do not use products tested on animals." I rejected again.

"I'm sorry, this pose seems inappropriate for my fans." I rejected politely once again.
I was going crazy and we weren't even halfway done with the photoshoot.
When no one was looking I quickly slipped into my RV and changed into a hoodie, some black tights, and my combat boots. As I walked out, I carried the little bird in my pocket and allowed him to play with my fingers as it pecked them. I slipped out of the forest and on to the streets of Storybrooke. Don't get me wrong, I love what I do, it just gets a bit much sometimes. That is why I always come to the diner, Granny's to be exact.
I walked up to the counter and smiled at Ruby, the waitress here. "Hey Haven!" she exclaimed. My eyes widened as heads turned but I kept my face down. "Keep your voice down Ru! I am supposed to be at a shoot." I chided as I leaned iin closer for her to hear me better. She nodded and winked before whipping out her pad and pen. "Anything you'd like?" She asked. I nodded, "Can I have a mug of your herbal tea and a slice of bread for my friend?" She looked at me funny before I pulled out the little blue bird and set him on the table. She nodded and walked away. Just then, a little boy, about 10 came up to me. "I know who you are!" He exclaimed, "You're Pan's little bird! The book says so!" I chuckled as I scooted over and patted the seat next to me.
"Oh yeah? Can I see this book of yours then?" I asked as Ruby came back with the stuff I asked for. He nodded, "But before that, may I have a hot cocoa with cinnamon please?" he asked my bestfriend. I smiled and glanced towards Ru before nodding. She smiled and left. "I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Haven Jill Rhoades." I said as I held out my hand for him.

"Henry Mills, adoptive son to Regina Mills, the mayor." he said as he pulled out a book from his bag and gave my hand a firm shake. I giggled softly before looking at the slightly familiar book. I cruddled my eyebrows and flipped open to a random page. A picture sat there of was looked to be Snow White, Prince Charming, Ruby, and Granny. "That's peculiar."
"Well of course it is, you're on the wrong page." Henry flipped a few more pages until he stopped on a picture of me and a boy, whom was sitting on a log as I stood on the other side, across a large fire, and boys around us were dancing. I moved on to the words and read aloud.
"You asked for me Peter?" I had asked. The handsome boy nodded before putting his pipe down and looking me in the eye. "I heard you can sing love." He stated. I nodded slowly and clasped my hands together. "Yes, I can, is there a problem with it?" I asked. He nodded, "Yes there is actually, but we'll talk more on that later, for now, sing something." He commanded. I raised an eyebrow in question. "Why?" I asked warily. He nodded once again and pursed his lips, "Because I said to love, now do it." I gulped audibly before opening my mouth and letting sound come out.
Once I was finished with the song everything was silent. No breathing, panting, wheezing, or coughing. Only the slight sniffle. "Well Little Bird, looks like you're one of us. You're family."
With that, I sat up and gazed at all the people about me, trying to look for a familiar young face. I spotted Henry talking to his mother, Regina as I ran towards them. "Hello love!" I cheered as I patted the taller woman's shoulder. Henry's eyes lit up and he immediately hugged me. I hugged him back and turned to the mayor. "Hello, my name is Haven Rhoades and I was wondering if you or your son needed a babysitter or nanny. I'd be happy to do it. " I stated, putting on the smile people always fall for. She looked towards a pleading Henry and sighed, exasperated. "Fine, but you must know Henry, that she has a job of her own and she needs to do that as well." she lectured the small boy. I smiled as he nodded enthusiastically. "Well then, you start tomorrow. Can you be at this address by 4:00?" she asked as she handed me a piece of paper. I took it and placed it in my pocket before nodding. I handed Henry back his book and gave him one last hug before thanking the mayor and waving at them both. I walked back to the table with my little blue friend on it and smiled softly. "I feel like thing are about to get a lot more bloody complicated Birdy." I said as I fed him a piece of bread. He tweeted at me in response and devoured the little scrap.
