The dagger pierced right into the eye. Harlock continued his flip, and as his feet were about to hit the ground, he gave a hard yank on the cord connected to the dagger pulling it from the eye.
He caught the dagger and retreated into the fog behind him.
The Snow Wraith let loose a howl of fury and pain. He had lost all of his vision on his right side. Usually, the eyelid is there for protection to make sure something like this doesn't happen, but he did not see it coming since it was a sneak attack.
With this one attack, the dragon was a disadvantage, but this did not stop him. As he turned his head to search for his assailant, the female dragon took advantage of the opportunity and let loose her snowy breath attach, and charging forward.
The breath attack did not damage him because he also possessed a body suited for the cold like her. This is going to turn into a brawl with teeth and claws.
The male dragon forgot Harlock, and he continued to attack the female dragon.
She could not keep up with his speed, strength, and stamina and was slowly but surely losing. Gaining small cuts here and there.
Suddenly the male dragon charged her. Raming into her chest, throwing her back into the fog. The male dragon took this moment to recuperate.
Meanwhile, in the fog, Harlock slowly approached the female snow wraith. She was down, still stirring but not getting up. Harlock slowly walked up to the dragon. She turned to look at his approach.
"I am a friend here to help you kill this male dragon. Let me help you."
The female Dragon recognized him from when he first attacked, allowing her to get the first shot in. She gave him what looked like a nod.
Harlock walked to her side and felt all around her body, making sure that there weren't any serious injuries.
Harlock moved his hands around the chest area. 'That was the area I was most worried about. That is the spot she took the direct hit from the male. I imagine there is gonna be a bruise of some sort.'

Harlock felt around the chest area but quickly stood up.
"I think you will be fine. Come on, let me help you up. We have a fight to win."
Harlock moved in by her side and tried to help get her up on her feet. He didn't do much to help but was there.
Once she was on her feet Harlock Said
"You will have to fight him head-on. I can not bear the damage he can deal. What I will do is launch sneak attacks creating an opening for you to go in and get the jump on him."
Harlock gave her a nod and quickly disappeared into the mist. She sniffed the air looking for where her foe was
He was standing on the other side of the plateau, watching her slowly come out of the mist.
They started to circle each other. Testing out the water, waiting to see who would move in first.
On the right side of the male dragon, a figure appeared with a large battle-ax in hand. He approached the back right leg of the dragon and came down hard with the battle-ax. Tearing skin and flesh. The ax penetrated all the way to the bone but went no further. The bones of the male snow wraith were too solid for him to break. Harlock ripped his ax out of the new wound and retreated. The male dragon swung around to find what had attacked him. As he turned, the female dragon charged. Going straight for the neck and clamping down hard. The male dragon shook hard. Managing to swing his head around and chomp down on her exposed tail. She released her grip on his neck. Trying to back up and get away, but he held on tight.
Harlock appeared once more with his battle-ax. On the right side of the male dragon, on the same leg, he came down with his battle-ax on the opposite side of the leg. Cutting deep once more, But still not managing to break the bone. The male dragon let loose another roar, and Harlock grabbed his ax and retreated.
Blood was running down the side of the dragon's leg, and he was visibly limping.

'I must make sure that I cut those wings enough that he won't be able to take off.'
The male dragon sent a frosty ice breath around him in a circle, trying to hit Harlock. Harlock jumped, avoiding the breath. Harlock grabbed his katana and prepared himself for the next opening.
The male dragon looked around, seeing the female dragon nursing her tail. He looked at her with hate and fury in his eyes. He is readying himself to charge her one final time.
Suddenly he felt a weight descend on his back.
It was Harlock. He quickly slashed at the dragon's right-wing with his katana. Hole and rips were torn into his winging, making it impossible to fly. Harlock jumped off his back into the mist. Disappearing again.
The way Harlock had jumped happened to be to the dragon's left side, where he could still see. He started a mad charge. Moving faster and faster. A couple more steps and he ran headfirst into the cave wall just right of the entrance. Because he was in the charge position and the thick fog, he couldn't see the rock wall.
There was a massive dent in the rocks beside the cave.
The male dragon took a step back, shakey and wobbly. Harlock, who was standing on the lip where he first ambushed from, saw this all happen.
"Well, I guess it's time for the game to end, big guy. This is the end for you."
Harlock hopped off the lip on the left side of the dragon whose head was lowered, and his body was rocking back and forth. Harlock got his katana aimed for his eye and said
"It was fun."
Moving with all his strength and power, he shoved his katana into the right eye of the male snow wraith. Penetrating deep all the way to the brain. The Dragon looked up at him with its other eye, then fell to its left side, coming down with a thud.

Looking around, the fog started to lift. Before Harlock was the body of the male dragon.
Off to the side, the female dragon was starting to get up.
Harlock walked over.
"I need you to take me over the forests over there and to the other side."
She looked down on Harlock with her head raised and started to walk back over to the cave.
"If it weren't for me, you would be dead and eaten, and so would your young. I ask only one favor in return, and that is passage. That is all I would like. You would save days of my journey."
When Harlock said her young, she stopped and looked back at him; she walked over to him. Looking him straight in the eye.
She seemed to think for a minute. With a nod of her head to her back, she slowly lowered her back to allow him to get on.
Harlock climbed onto her back, and she took off.
It was cold flying through the air like that, but once they broke through, the cloud surrounding the mountain and the sun rasing to hit him. A look of release and joy came over his face as he basked in the sun.
They flew over the massive forest at a breakneck pace heading in the direction he had told her.
Looking down, he saw one of the most beautiful things he had seen in his life. It almost brought tears to his eyes almost.
"Thank you, Dragon. I will not forget what you have done for me," says Harlock looking over the massive forest.
She just grunts.
[6 hours later]
"I can see the end of the forest. We are nearing our destination."

Ruins of Dalághast
I've been writing for as long as I can remember, but I'd always been torn between different projects. That's why I decided to dedicate myself to a pretty strict schedule of writing and editing a single chapter every month since the start of 2019. This is an ongoing, work in progress novel that follows a ragtag group of sellswords as they delve into a lost city on the edge of the known world in search of their fortunes. Within, though, they find much more than they ever expected and find themselves in a race against time to unravel a mystery centuries old.
