《Free》Chapter 17: The Legendary.. What?! Part II

I kept on running, past the forest, past the animals. I could slowly feel my stamina draining away. It began to get brighter and brighter as I kept running.
Leaves were fallen down from the trees, there was no snow yet it was just as cold.
I kept running until I reached a hill. I looked down.
A very small village, with only three or four houses.
There seemed to be no one there.
I slowly walked down from the hill and walked towards the village.
While in the village I tried to find anyone there, again, no one was there.
I only saw a black cat, it was sitting by a house.
It was relatively small, yellow sharp eyes.
It was in a shadow, you could barely see the cats outline by the body.
I didn't approach it, I left it there.
"Heeeey! Sudo where are youu?-nyan" I heard.
"Come on out-nyan" the same voice said.
Where did the voice come from?
I kept looking around, I didn't see anyone.
"Ohh, stop hiding Sudo-nyan.." the voice said.
I heard a jump, I looked towards the sound.
It came from the direction where the cat sat.
I saw some figure behind it, the figure was..
..Patting it?
"I was worried about you-nyan" it said.
I slowly drew out my sword.
"Huh, do you know this person-nyan?" the figure said.
It stood up and jumped up.
I drew out my sword and held the blade in front of my face.
The figure showed itself while attacking with its sword.
I already blocked him, he quickly jumped back.
His sword was very different from mine, he was also different.
He had blonde long hair, blue eyes.
His sword, it was much bigger.
"You look like a skilled swordsman-nyan" he said.

"Who are you?" I asked.
"Oh, now you're asking questions, huh-nyan"he said.
On top of his head, it was like cat ears.
Yellow, fluffy cat ears, but he had normal ears too, who is this guy.
Suddenly the wind became powerful.
The piece of paper from my pocket flew out, I tried to quickly catch it but failed, it landed on him.
I had my fighting stance ready.
"So, what's this-nyan" he said.
He slowly opened up the paper.
His eyes were big and round, his mouth was also formed kind of like a cat.
"Creata hero, huh-nyan" he said.
"So you're out to find me-nyan?" he said.
I, let my guard down.
"You're the legendary hero?" I asked.
He smiled, like a cat.
"Yes-nyan" he said.
I was quiet.
"Then why are you acting so weird" I asked.
He looked at me with.. Disappointment?
He looked down on the ground and slowly curled himself into a ball.
"Why are you so mean-nyan" he said while whining.
I looked at him with.. Confusion?
"What do you even want-nyan" he said still remaining in his form.
I took a deep breath.
"I want two things" I said.
"Go ahead-nyan *sniff*" he said.
"What is your name" I said.
He slowly looked up.
The wind made his hair cover up his eyes.
He slowly rose up.
"My name..-nyan" he said.
"It's Tommy, but people call me the legendary hero of creata..-nyan" he answered
"And my second desire.." I said.
"Will you be my companion on my adventure, and become a mentor" I said.
There was no question, I said it as something that will happen.
But he won't say yes, why would he.
"YES-nyan!" he said.
He looked really happy.
He sprinted towards me and shook my hands.
"I would love going on an adventure with you-nyan!" he said.
I was confused, again.
"But your adventure will end here furishishi!" someone shouted.
I looked behind, there was no one there.
My sword was out so I had my fighting stance ready.
"TAKE THIS YOU BASTARD" the voice said.
Suddenly someone jumped towards me.
I had my guards up, I'll kill him!

Barry Buckman and the Interdimensional Beastiary
In the beginning of 2021 I did something possibly stupid, I hired a ghostwriting company to write one of the many ideas going on in my head since I was busy with my job. Unfortunately... They were not the greatest, after the first writer assigned to me left I was stuck with... We'll just call her 'Karen'. Karen didn't want to listen to my feedback on chapters, and turned what was supposed to be a long story about a young guy surviving on an island of supernatural and crazy stuff, and becoming stronger from it, was turned into a not so great romance novel.I plan on releasing another one, probably after this that will be Barry Buckman Redux, which will be me writing it out the way I originally envisioned it.

The Crows and the Plague
As the Black Death ravages Medieval Europe, the ominous Plague Doctors (commonly called "Crows") may be the only thing standing between Christendom and extinction. There is no cure for the Plague, so all the Crows can do is stop the spread of the disease, even as the monstrous Vermin seek to spread it on purpose. But not everyone understands just how necessary the Crows and their often brutal methods really are. .............................................................................. This story is an alternate history/low fantasy story taking place in Medieval Europe. Rather than elves, goblins, and orcs, the fantasy elements in this story are generally things people in the Medieval era would have actually believed in, some exaggerated just a bit more for flavor.#thecrowsandtheplague
