《Free》Chapter 1: Milk Delivery Part I

''Hey, Katsura, you are up for the job, right? You are a good samurai!'' Someone in the village shouted not too far away.
A job? I really do not care about you. All I want to do is crawl up into a ball and be in that pose until I die. Of course, I did not reply like that, my answer would kill me, however, what is bad with me dying?
I do not have friends, family, or anyone to be with for that matter. All I have done is train with my katana, the only thing that I trust.
He slowly came up to me, a smile on his face and closed his eyes.
''Come on man, we know you're really strong, we need you for this.'' he said.
Me? A good fighter? You have to be kidding me, I really do not care about you man..
Look here! I marked out where we are supposed to go, it will take us about one to two days, we must deliver a lot of milk for this small and poor village. We are marked out with the blue X, and our goal is on the red X.
Leaving the village for two days, heh, sounds better than helping everyone in here.
''Fine..'' I said with half open eyes.
He and a friend, I assume, were getting ready, packing backpacks and milk, while I was waiting next to the entrance where we were supposed to leave.
Not too long after they came up to me, having everything ready, and I had my two katanas with me. One is white while the other one is black with a black blade, with a red line going from the top to the edge of the blade.
''Shall we go?'' he asked.

No answers.
He started walking out, guiding his horse carrying the milk glasses.
We walked for minutes, then those minutes became hours. Soon it felt like I would collapse in any second.
I had the map and was walking before them, I looked back to only see them riding the horse while following me.
We went to the side of a big and known mountain, we only saw rocks on the mountain road, and below us was a big forest. You could clearly see the village we were heading to. We had walked for about 9 hours and we had reached the peak of the mountain.
''Hey, I'm going to relax now'' I said and sat down.
''You.. uh..'' he said while being confused.
''You can relax, we'll go before you.'' he said and took the map.
I looked down at the forest, the birds flying, the wind making the trees move, the leaves are flying from the trees.
I could hear them talking behind my back, I don't care.
''They say he doesn't care about anything'' I heard pretty clearly from one of them.
After a couple of minutes, I sprinted back to them, we we're on the other side of the mountain walking downward.
''E-Excuse me gentlemen'' an old figure said.
He had clothes covering his eyes and only showed his mouth. He was sitting just by the side of the road.
''How can we help you, old man'' the man I followed asked.
He slowly backed off with the horse to not hit him. I personally do not care about this delivery, the old man, I just want to end it all.
''Here, please can you hold onto these rock's'' he said and threw two small rocks at each of the people from the village.
Then, it suddenly happened.

A big smoke poof's up.
I turned around to see both of the men from the village lying on the ground.
''GAH!! KATSURA HELP US'' he shouted while going side to side.
On his hand was a big, purple, and black snake biting on his hand, I quickly drew out my swords.
I carefully slashed the big snake on his hand in half, it stopped moving its tail, I looked over to the other man, but it looks like he is already dead.
The old man rose, on his back was a big, round backpack made from sticks.
He removed the clothes and showed off his face. A cross scar on his left eye, black hair pulled all the way to the back with a long ponytail, a sword hanging next to the backpack.
He had a smile on his face and pointed to us.
''YOU FOOLS! With my magic no one can stop me!'' he said.
Magic?
The man was coughing up blood. ''There's no mistake about it, guh, it is Hayashi Aitake, the most known criminal in Xous!''.
''Hey, old man, who's this Hayashi guy'' I said with panic.
I got no response.
He must have gotten killed by the snake, I looked back at him.
''Now then, shall we fight?'' he said.
I stayed quiet with my fighting stance.
Suddenly, the man I thought was dead rose up with a knife. He jumped to the mountain side, but suddenly Hayashi punched him against the mountain and made a crack.
Rocks started falling from the top, and one of them fell on the horse, which was panicking. The milk, horse and the people from the village are all dead, and in front of me is Hayashi, a criminal that uses magic.
''There's no idea fighting on this tiny road, so let us make room in the mountain, samurai'' he said and kicked the mountain.
His leg was glowing blue, and his kick was really strong!
Who.. Is this guy?!

The Head That Wears The Crown
It's a tale as old as time. Boy goes to funeral. Boy gets sucked into a different world. Boy has to lead a settlement. Boy has to lead a settlement? Boy has to lead a settlement. This is a story about that settlement, and some other stuff. Maybe. Disclaimer: Not sure if it qualifies enough for a gore tag. There is a description of someone's death somewhere in this, but I don't think it is descriptive enough to justify a gore tag. Disclaimer part deux: I initially started writing this as background for another story but got so into it I just ended fleshing it out a bit. Disclaimer part tres: People love reading disclaimers don't they? It's why I've included so many. They're just for you. Disclaimer part four: I know, this is getting egregious. You're starting to find it less funny. Just wait till the twentieth disclaimer, it will start being funny again. Disclaimer part five: I'm kidding, this is the last one. I don't promise I'll read every comment or message, but I certainly welcome your feedback. Disclaimer part six: I lied, it wasn't the last one. I wrote this story without breaking it down into chapters. It just goes, that means that the chapter ends when it ends, not when there is a convenient break in the story. That means that it's very annoying for you as a reader since chapters can end mid sentence. Hah! Sucker! Disclaimer part seven: Get ready for slow updates. Who knows when this will continue. Toss it on read later and come back in fifty years. Disclaimer part eight: Cover Photo by Arthur Ogleznev on Unsplash
