《The Bad Boy's Property》Ep.3: Chapter 9: Theos and Basileus

How astonishing to think of why I'm still safe until now at the same time, it's making me kind of suspicious. I feel like someone knows me in this school. Someone dominant and dreadful. Just as much as how I felt about that Theos guy.

Was that the reason why my mom is very confident about sending me here? Because she knows that someone will defend me?

That Theos guy must know who is the person who knows me and because he knows that person, he protected me earlier, and given that he owns the school, he succeeded in giving me the kind of protection that even if he won't be around, anyone wouldn't try to harm me. But of course, there is no certainty with anything in a kind of place like this with these kinds of people.

I feel like I'm not a normal student anymore. That is making me not a regular one and I can feel that as I enter the classroom. They are all looking in my way like an alien that they've just seen for the very first time is walking past them.

I am so aware that my beauty is at an abnormal point but the way they look at me was making it too obvious.

Every time my eyes go the way of anyone looking at me, they avert their eyes.

I just realized that the rumors are true about this school after all. I feel like everyone here wanted to do something bad to me but what they've seen happened earlier with that Theos guy was preventing them to touch me or get in my way.

I've chosen to sit where nobody wants to sit. It's at the back of the class. I felt the need to stay away from anyone. At least, I'll feel safe because I'm the only one here.

I just bring out my phone to get myself busy while a teacher is not around yet. There's still a long couple of tens of minutes before the classes are going to start. At least, I'm still alive at this point. I'm lucky enough that I made it here in the classroom.

A noise that's getting near the classroom coming from outside caught my attention. Theirs, too. Those were heavy footfalls of someone that is like running, approaching our classroom way.

Then, a woman appears in sight, stopped in the classroom's doorway. Standing and looking at the class students inside. The woman was gasping and caught her breath first before deciding to start talking.

"The 'Seven Leaders' are headed here." She quickly gets inside and sits on one of the chairs. Oh, so she belongs to the class!

Seven Leaders? Who are they?

I saw surprised reactions from all of them. They were cheering and excited. Purely the girls.

I saw them looking at me while whispering to each other. I don't know what made them look at me like that. But their looks were not for long as they know I was also looking their way and they manage to do it quickly to create a quiet atmosphere later on.

I wonder what is up to them. People here are so weird.

And who were the people that the woman was talking about? They are heading here? They are not their classmates for sure. Seeing their reactions, it's like the first time this will ever happen and it seems that those people are very special.

Honestly, my mind seems like exploding with all the questions it's producing ever since I landed my feet at this school. I should have a headache as of now.

One brief moment passed then I saw a group of men coming inside the classroom.

What was weird was the students inside maintained being quiet. I thought they were excited about this? Was that why they made quick reactions and then created a silent atmosphere afterward? Because they wanted to pretend they were quiet?

The men who came inside seemed to be seven people, indeed, but I wasn't so sure as I did not give myself a chance to count them up and I did not intend to look at them for long or see their faces. It seems that these people are special here, so I must be careful. I'm trying my best to avoid anything that would harm me in any way, so it's best not to look at them.

I just tried hard to be busy looking at my phone but it did not take long before I realized they are already sitting near me. I felt like they occupied all the seats at the back that were near me.

I was reading a book on my phone but I couldn't understand a thing. I know I wouldn't be able to focus on doing such a thing in an environment like this but I'm doing this to pretend like I'm busy and I'm not minding my surroundings.

I chose to sit at the back to stay away from people, but now it's impossible to do that since all these men are sitting next to me.

I was trying to stay at peace in my seat while looking at my phone when the man on the left beside me grabbed my phone away. I did not try to get it back. I stayed calm. I looked at his hands checking my phone. I only gazed trying to know what is he planning to do with it. I saw him tapping, scrolling, and looking at the screen.

"Interesting!" The man commented, then gave me the phone back.

When I heard his voice, I realized that I heard it before so I brought my eyes up to glance at his face and then, I saw him again. The man who I thought was following me earlier in the hallway. The one who did not want to tell his name.

So, he is one of the guys to whom the woman earlier was referring. That is why their reactions are like that.

I forgot to appreciate his handsome face earlier because of the situation I had with him. I feel like even a man holding a handsome face like this could hurt me because of the thought of the kind of school where I'm walking around.

I looked at him again. He is looking back at me.

I locked my gaze on him for quite some time. He answered my look but it made him initially feel uncomfortable between us.

"What?" He asked irritably.

Then, I realized I mustn't have done that. I am being careless again. Oh, my veggies!

I shunned my eyes.

"Just.. just wondering why you're here," I said, now that my face and eyes were already focused in front.

I heard him sniggling.

"Do you want me to ask you the same question?" He replied.

I immediately get what he's trying to say. That's true. I don't have the right to ask this kind of question since I am the newbie here. I am a transferred student and they are already been here long before I got here for sure. The reason why they've yet made their respective names, roles, and big profiles here.

Even if he does not ask, I'm already asking myself that question. Why am I here?

I did not want to respond to what he asked but I wanted to ask why did he sit beside me. Why did they sit next to me?

"Why did you all sit next to me?" The words just slipped out of my mouth.

Bad mouth! This body is just naturally careless.

"Just be thankful that you're with seven handsome guys."

Handsome guys? That made me catch a glimpse of their faces one by one. I look at the men beside him first and look at my right side after.

I was surprised to see Theos was with them. He is on my right side, sitting beside me and I wasn't even aware.

After seeing him, I wasn't able to talk.

I remembered that he let the people believe that we know each other. They might be here to look after me. I might give the people around us the impression that I don't know this man and his friends so I'd better be very careful and shut my mouth than sorry.

So Theos knows this long-legged guy, the reason why he did not hurt me earlier? I'm at ease to know.

However, I have seen all their faces and there is no doubt about what this man on my left side said earlier but I also did not recognize anyone that I know among them. Maybe, they know someone who knows me that is not studying in this school. Maybe, one of them knows my mom. I just wouldn't believe it if they tell me they are helping me because it's pure kindness and they only want to help. It's not going to be realistic.

Now I'm hesitant to ask any one of them about that since the last time I asked this Theos beside me, he remained silent. But how could I know besides the option of asking?

"Who is the class president here?" I heard the long-legged guy beside me ask the people at the front.

I saw a man standing up from his seat. "I-I'm the class president, B-b-basileus." Said the man who stood up.

"This is a command. You will be in charge of implementing the rule of not letting anyone else besides us stay here at the back of the classroom or even get near. If anyone caught in the act is dead. If anything bad happens here at the back, all of you will be accountable. Clear, Mr. class president?" He carefully instructed the man he called out.

"Y-yes, Basileus. Noted t-that." Said the man who stand up that introduced himself as a class president. It was clear to see that the one that caused that stutter was fear of these guys.

Looks like everyone around here is afraid of them. I see. That was why they kept quiet when these seven men arrived. They were afraid that they catch the attention of one of them or allure their eyes by creating noise.

But I keep wondering why they have this kind of authority around the school. Were the principal and teachers not bothered about it?

The class president called him Basileus. Is that his name? I thought no one could call his name? Or was he telling me earlier that he didn't want me to call him by his name? Now, I'm confused.

A couple of minutes later, the teacher entered our classroom and taught us the lesson for the day. I tried so hard to focus on the discussion even though I am not comfortable with my place with these men around me.
