《Without horizon》Chapter Twelve - Unable to break answer

Four living forces move between the islands:
The True Dragons, whose wings are strong enough to fend off any small island in their path.
The True Rocc, giant birds that have every foot of land on their feet is just another part of them.
The Island eater, whose appetite for the Islands is like the giant mouth capable of swallowing a small island in its entirety.
And the Dryadons, flying cyclops snakes as fast as the wind.
And I, meanwhile stuck, trying to figure out how to open a small metal ball like the palm of my arm. I wish I was as strong as they are.
"Have you tried using a concentrated mana flow?" Asked one of them.
"That was one of the first attempts" I replied to him, lying on one of the chairs that were in the office, while some of them tried to put the ball into a container full of blue liquid. Qiqi came in and handed me tea before she left.
"Okay, everything we tried, from cracking with crushing tools that were meant for adamantium mining, to concentrating point mana at presumed points as points of weakness, to scattering fried powder on the ball, proved to be useless."
"It's not true" I replied: "Everything we have tried, just proves it is built differently from anything we know. Such a thing for the future can prove to be the best way to protect itself from the outside, maybe from dragons" I tried to think of a reason why without revealing the reason The real thing: find out what he is hiding and give an answer on how to solve this big problem that has been moving me for days.
"Still, nothing we tried worked out even slightly." He began to despair as he motioned for the rest to take the ball out of the container, and except for something wet, nothing unusual appeared. After they put it in the dryer, they started using platinum and brimstone alloy saws, whose heat was only allowed through protective suits. They began to try to gently see the ball from a distance.
"What are you trying to do there?" Asked one of them
"If cold does not work, then heat" replied one of the suits while he continued to see the ball, then a sound was heard and with it, the saw broke.
"So it didn't work either" one of them took off the suit cover, and they went back to the drawings.
"I guess we need another way to open it instead of forcibly" I replied to them.
"How else do you think we can open it?"

"Is there anything you discovered?"
"There are microscopic holes that we discovered at certain points. I guess these are very small cable entry holes."
"Like a lock" replied something else standing aside, trying to explore a way to navigate between islands, without success.
"And what do you have an idea about?" I asked him
"I guess we can let the Mantis solve this problem," he replied
"Mantis ?! This is the last thing we need" one of the team members replied: "They only know what robots are and how to build them! They no longer play with the mana currents or any magic in their hands" replied another
"Do not underestimate them, some of the things they helped us like building the teleportation gates. They may not know how to use magic like us, but their knowledge is unique enough" I replied to them, and then one of them burst out saying:
"Their knowledge is good enough to anger the dragons" one of them joked, while everyone else joined him.
"It's not nice to talk like that about a member of the federation" Qiqi just went in to collect the glass I drank from: "They are a very important part, their knowledge of magical physics is a very important basis for any thaumaturgist knows about it. And they are the ones who invented the theory" I was very impressed by her knowledge, Even though she's just a secretary. And that was enough to silence them and no one said a word. Maybe except for one more who just took off her suit:
"I think she's right, if we want to get to the bottom of things, we need to get there, and close this story" she got up and put the suit aside and went to pick up the rest of the suits in some of her arms. Then I hear from her in a whisper:
"And we can prove they don't know how to do that either" and a fuss while the rest burst out laughing, leaving only Qiqi annoyed.
"I guess we need tools that only they have" I replied as I made the metal ball hover towards me in the middle of the levitation plate, and it landed straight on the table. After a short breath, I called on everyone to concentrate. I felt that time was just running out. We need to think without the ball about a way to restore the mana currents and perhaps surpass the cause or source.
"Okay, listen!" I turned to everyone: "I think we should split into 2 groups for everyone available now: one group will continue to investigate the downpour while the other group will try to contact Mantodea's science department and hear about their idea" Everyone started discussing who would go with whom. I will take the mission to Mantodea while my deputies will take command of the second group.

I went to pick up the radio receiver and tried to call the president, who would help me contact Mantodea, but no one answered. "I think I'll do this the long way" I thought to myself as I walked out of the room, straight into the hallways.
"Sir" I heard Qiqi in the distance approaching me: "Where are you going?"
"I think I'll go to the capital to try to settle things there" I replied to her and then something occurred to me:
"You can try to contact Mantodea's science department. If you happen to succeed, can you contact me immediately or set a date at some point? I'm pretty free right now" Free to try and clear issues.
"I'm problems, I hope it passes you easily" she replied without delay and walked into the corridors. I quickly made my way to one of the nearest teleportation gates and tried to catch a group heading there like me. But all I see is a long line there.
"What happened there?" I asked the one standing in front of me, a yellow dragon folk twice as big as me, he turned around and saw me:
"They just recently repaired the gate, I've been waiting there for half an hour"
"Why was the gate broken? I had not heard of such a thing in a long time"
"I guess there was an accident, but it's already over and I guess we can move soon."
"If you say so" I answered him and said thank you
"Just waiting. Just waiting" I stood restrained as the line shortened for him slowly.
At the same time, a group of dragon folk on the island of Regalis ultima managed to reach a strange collection of fossils they had not encountered before. They called it a great titan, made up of varied and different bones as if they had assembled it by hand and by magic. He approached there and in one hand began to feel the fossils, but had no answer.
"I guess it's something completely new," replied the Titan very slowly, who was so similar to the Lavawalker that his race was given a Fossilswalker because his body was made up entirely of bones:
"Bring them to a more advanced analysis on them" they answered him in the affirmative as they continued to encounter something surprising: a specially preserved metal plate in which unidentified markers were engraved, and also brought to the Titan, while he tried to look through a magnifying glass at the fossils. He was intrigued by the board, and began to bring a book with a sign translation:
"These plates describe a creature that stood on two, defenseless and unable to do anything but build" he tried to translate the scripture, but the process of translation according to his expression, will take longer. In one case they managed to assemble some of the fossil bones into a fairly consistent shape, and with it, they were able to assemble part of the arm, back, and skull, which seemed to have been smashed. One of the dragon folks started looking around:
"Doesn't that remind me of someone like them?" He turned the Fossilswalker's attention to the assembled fossil he had created, and after a glance, he replied:
"Yes, it reminds us of the Crestlings, a race that goes on two, unable to create any magic and lacking protection for their bodies."
"Is it not the race that rules the kingdom of Arcimea?"
"Indeed, these are"
"How ancient are these fossils?"
"We are still trying to explore, but the soil we take from shows no trace of the source it was created on."
"Carbon dating?"
"There is nothing but stone, even in extraction and restoration we are not able to know what they are" the titan hissed as he summoned the others to collect the fossil, and tried to keep translating, but one of them interrupted him:
"What would you call them?"
"Good question, it's a fossil we have not seen before, and since we are the ones who have the right to call them, why don't you invent a name for it?"
"No no, we cannot invent a name for him. You are after all, maybe you will invent a name from the plates you translate?" He replied.
The Titan continued to translate, but the words in his eyes were so small to its size that he began to ask another group of tiny furry creatures - the Mousekin to help him translate, and after consultation, they left with the plaque, and the Titan continued to look at the fossils they found:
"Before what is written, there are many words that have been erased" he referred to the one who composed one of the fossils.
"And there are words that repeat themselves?"
"Yes, there is one word that repeats itself, and I'm important I know what to call it: Hum0ns"

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

The book of forever
An experimental diary of sorts recounting my life and experiences, written as a slightly whimsical scifi story about setting off from the past to unknown lands, rebuilding from nothing and finding myself again. The first section of the book contains matched chapters, a chapter for a interlude, both happening at the same time roughly The second section of the book contains more one off stories as we follow one of the travelers explore their heart as well as a unknown land, growing in the process. All of the text here was written in 10 syllable chunks, this reads like a epic of sorts, just with more philosophical focus and POV jumps. Hope you enjoy! >Updates may be sporadic as I only write when I have something about myself I want to share The chapters can all be read individually, although there may be some crossovers between them they work as single poems. You start at whatever chapter you want since these are a collection of roughly connected poems (although you'll notice tie ins and references to eachother)

The Sleeping Immortal
It's my first time writing, I'm going to try a mix up of LitRPG and Wuxia. God killed me while I was sleeping, and now I have the power to become a God myself just by well... sleeping. Ironic isn't it? Let's say it came as a surprise when I, Fiend Yuki, got killed by God. God, not wanting me to die as easily next time, reincarnated me with OP sleeping powers. Before this, I was just your average bum living in my parent's basement, sleeping and doing general otaku things. Now I have to worry about getting killed by Gods, kinda came full circle didn't it? Or I could just sleep and worry about it later... Yeah, I'll just sleep... Sleep sounds good. Yeah, it was until I woke up and found out I've become a toothpick and personal claw sharper of the world's strongest dragon while I was sleeping... I don't like being awake...
