《Without horizon》Chapter Nine - Fight to survive

"They have reached the walls!" Shouted one of them as he started firing a fireball at one of the objects that were in the air, managing to hit him and knock him down. But many others like him began to approach not very quickly.
"Captain! We can not fend them off" shouted one of them and then with record speed, jumped on him a golden armored snake-like creature with countless legs.
"The Doombriners managed to eliminate Plato 3" shouted another as the captain tried to save his friend from the creature that jumped on one of his soldiers. He fired a spear of fire that managed to hit him only to make the creature get upset and leave the badly injured soldier.
"Now" he shouted and the sound of an explosion was heard, and in one moment, the creature was left with nothing but its top, crashing on the stones, lifeless. The captain directly collects one of the soldiers and asks another group of soldiers to bring them to the healers. He managed to catch his eye on another soldier walking around, trying to fend off another Doombriner from the wall window. He fired another spear and managed to drop it.
"Soldier" he called to him: "Pass the message to the council that the wall is falling"
He runs straight without turning around times. He is only as fast as he can, while he sees his army friends trying to fend off the enemy's huge flying army. He knows he must not fail and quickly he managed to reach a fortified palace and entered through it, while 2 chased after him. At the last moment, he managed to sneak through the quickly closed opening and he could only hear the noise of hits and cannons from outside. He knows there is no time to waste.
He's resetting forces, came to a large circle and a large number of people sat down. He sees a lot of characters talking to each other, but one of them notices him:
"The enemy broke through the walls," he said before collapsing.
At these cries, nothing began to speak to each other:
"All the residents were evacuated?" Said one who was covered in a red robe with orange stripes
"The Summoners were able to create a portal using a demons contract straight to Ferloth-De. The portal is stable and durable and we have already managed to get most of the residents through it. The giants started taking care of them while we were talking" noted another who was studded with jewelry
"How much do we estimate we'll be able to evacuate everyone?"
"Not much longer" said another who was wearing white

While they were discussing with each other, one in red began to lose patience:
"I do not understand why you refused the Federation's offer to send an army to us!" He got up and began to try to confront the one sitting in the center, dressed in traditional black clothes. But soon everyone gets up with him, grabs him with his almost transparent body, and soon manages to take over and overpower him.
"They do not need to know what's going on between our island" The black figure stood up and hovered straight to the red figure, realizing the mistake he had made before he returned to sit in his place.
"We do not need the help of the outside, and even so, the demons are stronger than the same forces as magic."
"So why are we losing the war?" The white figure asked him
"Because that's how the demons advised us to act" The black figure began to try to summon a small demon and out of the air appeared a tiny blue demon floating in the air.
"So he's the one who advised you?" Asked the jewelry figure
The black figure turned to the tiny demon and looked at it with his miserable eyes:
"Yes, this is the one who advised us to fight alone"
"Yes, nothing will come in handy if you fight with them against those long insects" The tiny demon started talking in front of everyone aloud as he looked at the documents that were scattered on the floor. Then he jumped straight at the soldier who collapsed and sat on his head:
"If you did this, a bigger disaster would come to you than now, and escape is the best way to reduce the disaster"
"Are you sure you know what you're talking about? A lot of our soldiers are sacrificing themselves now to gain time, instead of asking the federation for help and destroying them instead with their power" The red figure claimed
"You will cause crowds of armies to lead to greater disaster. This is a forbidden thing if you want to survive."
He jumped from the soldier's head straight to the top of the red figure:
"Thus is this his commandment" he turned away from him and straight away disappeared without leaving a trace
"This is what they advised us, I guess it's true" noted the white figure, convinced by the demon's speech
The black figure turned back to the figure in red and turned face to face:
"We have been summoning them for hundreds of years, and all for one purpose only," he swiftly turned away from him and returned to his place:

"It's for accepting their power and becoming like them, and then, we will rule the world" he noted and the rest were reminded of their ultimate goal, but the character in red even though he agrees with them, is not satisfied:
"Even if that is the case, we have so far failed to take their power," he noted
"It's true, even if we've been doing this for a long time, now it's too late" the jewelry figure said: "This is not the right time to gather their strength, now is the time to survive. And when we survive, we will get everything we want."
Everyone agreed with him and then another soldier burst into the room, noticing a soldier lying on the floor and skipping him gently:
"All the residents managed to evacuate. Only you are left." He noted before he picked up the lying soldier.
"Excellent, we'll be ready right away" The figure in black noted: "Gather some of the soldiers left and call on the warlords to get ready to leave"
The soldier responded with a salute to his head and dragged the other soldier out of the room.
"Let's hope everything's true there, with the giants" The character in red noted before everyone else had evacuated and with him, in the sky, they saw how many Doombriners were shot down from the sky by fireballs and some fighting with tiny demons summoned by the warlords, all just to protect them.
"This is the last time we will see our island" noted one of the soldiers who accompanied the group
"I'm afraid so" the character noted in white, while cannon blows were heard all over the island.
They reached a large area where several soldiers guarding the portal stood. But noises of war were heard not far away.
"They destroyed all the cannons!" One of them stepped before a shout was heard and his voice fell silent. They realized they did not have much time before the Doombriners arrived here too...
"Evacuate immediately!" One of the guards turned to them and strait jumped on a larger creature than him and was equipped with blades that he had stolen from one of the soldiers, and used it to impale the soldier's head. He noticed the group and straight away flew fast. The black figure start to channel incomprehensible words while one of the soldiers began to create a firewall, which he passed quickly and inserted another blade into his body.
"Move forward! Fast!" The black figure shouted at them as a distracted creature as he massacred another soldier. From the air, a sufficient demonic cat creature was formed which began to attack the creature directly.
He realized that if he left, they could not be stopped from reaching the gate. The group went into the last of them.
"We're going to close the portal now!" The white figure shouted, and the figure in straight black advanced towards the portal. And just before he could pass, the creature managed to defeat the demonic cat and pounced straight at him. With the blade, he managed to tear his legs, but the figure in black managed to get through the portal. The transition began to despair, but the creature managed to jump through it at the last minute while there was nothing left but air and magic signs.
The creature recovered and continued to storm the group, but he only found himself cut by a whip blade, and found himself dismantled on the ground.
"It was close" There was talk and he approached from the side a titanic figure resembling a young Lavawalker holding in his hand a huge urumis, now covered in blood. The environment was quiet but the creature's head still advanced in the jawbone before it collapsed and died. He was bloodthirsty while the rest just recovered from what had happened now.
"Bring him to the doctors, we have a wounded man here" The titan shouted and a team of little lizards began to carry the black figure. The rest of the group followed him like a moth to a lamp, and only the titan remained standing next to the body of the creature that had just killed him.
"Thank you so much for rescuing us" One of the soldiers thanked Titan before he too walked towards the group.
The titan looked at the corpse, and he called on other giants to collect the pieces.
"They're just getting harder and harder to deal with" said a giant who was all black
"How they do this, I have no idea. It feels like we are fighting against the power of nature" noted the other giant who had wings before he picked up all the pieces and flew.
"I still wonder why they did not ask for help from us" The black giant turned to the titan, while he sat down and rested for him.
"I think they have their reasons," he replied, "but we do not leave anyone behind."
At that moment, the Devil's Council of Resurrection, along with the island have been overrun by an ancient enemy that many have ignored, but out of them, they are just a tiny fried.

This is my first work and I will hopefully stay around for a while. I will try to finish or at least expand on this piece of work for quite some time, expect a few hiatuses in between though, still have a bit of schooling to do. Expected release dates will probably be once a week(not sure yet) after I stabilized the novel a bit as I'm still debating on how I should handle this. I prefer fleshed-out works compared to quick releases, but it also depends on how I'm feeling. I don't have a lot of confidence in my writing skills and I believe that my writing style is a bit weird, but I do want to try my best to tell a story that's worth telling. I will gladly accept criticism but please try to pull the punches back a bit! I'm still only human after all. Very excited to work on this, please take good care of me as I proceed on this journey with all of you! P.S. If you're going into my series, expect to see cliches sprinkled here and there. I personally love cliches and a few tropes! But, that goes without saying, I want to put my own spin on them. Be ready to feel the edge!!! Heh.

No, the worst, is his uncle. The reason he doesn't speak, look at anyone, barely even breathe. Each night, he hopes for someone to come and save him, but they never come. No matter how hard he wishes, how hard he hopes, it seems he will be stuck there forever, or until his slow, agonizing march to death ends. One night, after hoping and hoping, he starts to realize he will never get saved, helped, even comforted, for his entire life. What if he's wrong, and what if a certain Slytherin can heal this broken child? What if, in turn, this broken child can heal him?THIS IS NOT SNARRY!!
