Gosbi’s much more excited than usual, he actually smiled today. When we got to Virtue tech the first thing that stood out was the fountain in the middle of the building's courtroom. An aura of death surrounded that fountain. Even the house sparrows struggled to find a place to sit far away. Everything and everyone seemed to know the terror of that spot. Gosbi walked to the fountain and began his search. It took a bit but I eventually found my nerves and stumbled behind him. As he searched he chuckled under his breath. In the end, we found nothing. Not one shred of evidence. It only makes sense the police cleaned everything up.

After Gosbi finished his examination of the fountain we went to meet with Mr. Deets, after all, if we’re poking around he should know we’re here. As we were walking Gosbi stopped by a door with the number 238 painted on it. He stared at the door handle for a long time before waltzing into the room. I followed having not much say in the matter. In the room was a small office filled with brightly colored cubicles. each cubicle seemed to be surprisingly lively compared to how offices are supposed to look. Eventually, Gosbi stopped at a blue cubicle with a desk and computer sitting calmly in the booth. There was also an assortment of other items sitting on the desk: five grey stress balls, a grey pencil holder, six bottles of hand sanitizer, and a red radio. All stashed in a chaotically even fashion. Gosbi took a fine interest in the desk as he tried to force it open. I warned him not to touch anything. His response was to fiddle with the desk not for a second taking his judgment-filled eyes off me.

That's around when the desk's owner showed up, and he wasn’t happy to see us. I apologized for Gosbi doing my best to remedy the situation so we could leave. As you probably guessed Gosbi’s response was less than ideal as he shoved the recording in the poor man’s face attempting to integrate him. The man instantly began panicking, I've never seen someone get so upset so fast. A part of me was worried Gosbi was going to get himself beat up. Thank god, Mr. Deet’s ran into us I don’t know how he managed to defuse the situation so quickly.

As we walked he apologized on behalf of the employee explaining the employee in question, Andy Mandez, has issues with anxiety, and multiple other mental issues he’s not allowed to disclose. He also has serious problems with other people touching his things. The rest of the day went as planned, we discussed the case, with me refusing Mr. Deets’ constant attempts to pay us. According to Mr. Deets Scott was going about his regular routine when he suddenly started screaming. Mr. Deets, along with 12 other employees heard the commotion and ran out to see what was happening. Where they saw Scott forcing himself underwater.

Apparently, some of the employees tried to get him to stop, but Scott grasped onto the fountain with an unbelievable amount of force. Mr. Deets sent Andy to call the police. They didn’t arrive in time though and Scott stopped breathing. After hearing that, it became more than clear why Mr. Deets wasn’t happy with the police deciding it was suicide. Apparently, this wasn’t the first incident either, as there had been many other “suicides” this past year. For example, one night in the spring a woman, who worked on the seventh floor of the building, jumped out and was found in the dumpster below. Another case happened sometime last winter. A higher-up threw away his coat and shirt and went outside. He was found later sitting frozen on a bench outside the building with a monotone expression on his face. There had been so many cases like this the offices started a rumor that the company was built on a waste dump and the radiation was driving employees insane. This was the first incident with clear witnesses and the first to happen in broad daylight.

Gosbi’s eye’s shimmered as Mr. Deets told his stories and further explained the case. I have to admit, I’m starting to agree, it just doesn't make sense. If you really wanted to kill yourself why would you put your co-workers through that, and in such painful ways too? It makes no sense.

Me and Gosbi plan to investigate in more detail tomorrow. For now, Mr. Deets is going to send us off with records of the past cases. Of course, Gosbi plans to study all night. Me? I just want a nap.
