Chapter 5 madness over a duel
Character pov Frieda amiel
I had no time to react. I had to make a move before Olsis landed a hit. I shifted my weight to jump over him I noticed that he was crying. Why would he be crying over me trying to kill someone he barely knew. His face was full of anger, it looked as if he was disappointed.
For someone who is 60 years old he doesn't have the old man look. I always did think he was attractive, I just never made the move. And after I told him I was pregnant our friendship was never the same. Maybe he felt the same way I did. It was selfish of me to have a kid with a random man I found at a bar. But that was 35 years ago.
I moved my soul to amplify my leg's strength, the sheer strength of my leg muscles as I readied to jump obliterating the ground. I went too far with the adjustment. I blasted out the roof of the temple. I was easily 300 feet above the ground. As I admired the view I realized that Olsis probably felt as if the child was his own grandson. If he felt the way I did, he’d probably decided that he would care for my children like his own. It's sad that I basically betrayed his heart. We did make that silly promise as we were kids. I only assumed that he had forgotten about it.
Oh, it seems I'm going back down now.
There he was, Olsis coming out flying. He was taking this seriously. The energy he was emitting and his aura. It felt like killing intent if you diluted it with water. He is releasing enormous amounts of Ki and focusing it into his hand. He was using his famous move that he used back when we were younger. His hand cannon. It's a gut punch at first and then a explosion. The force would be enough to blow me to bits. I had to stop it from hitting me. I gathered Ki into my hands, I was going to grab his body with an ice chain and throw him back into the temple.
I took a deep breath and felt as my hands chilled down, an ever non-pleasant feeling.
The ice chain I created was 100 feet long. I whipped the chain towards him. He was going to grab it and yank me to him. Luckily all those times I learned to control my constructs outside of my body will come to use. I swerved the chain and tied him up with it. As I started to spin to get enough kinetic energy to stop him, It snapped. If I was only a decade younger it would have been strong enough to withstand over 693 g forces. It snapped and Olsis went flying down to the forest. He slowed his fall by propelling fire out of his feet. He came at me soaring through the sky. I also had to do this but I can use fire adjustment so I just froze water vapor in the air.

Olsis constructed a sword of flames and started swinging, I don't know why he is so mad. I kept on backing up while freezing the air I stood on. He accelerated he wasn't aiming to hit me with his sword anymore. I had to time to do anything, I was kicked into the mountain.
He broke at least 4 of my ribs. And when I made impact with the mountain another 3 of them broke. He was still blasting off to me. He aimed to lunge his sword into me. I had no breath olsis was going 150% on me. The time slowed down as olsis’s sword of fire was about to plunge itself deep into me. Only for it to miss. 2 inches, it misses my heart by 2 inches. The sword luckily hit the mountain and I was fine. I had to retaliate. I brought up my legs and kicked him straight into his chest. I think I broke his sternum my feet went farther into him. I kicked myself off of the mountain and looked as he went back into the hole in the roof of the temple. He was defeated but my body didnt stop. My body and my mind were on 2 different levels. I created a spear of ice and was souring down to his body. I thought back to when we were kids…..
“Heyyyy, Frieda!”
“Oh isn't it the ever so cool Olsis” I exclaimed mockingly.
“You don't have to be that cruel Frieda.”
“Well I wanted to.” I said while sticking my tongue out.
I was laying under the tree in the garden like I always did here. My father always brought me here to train. I hated it here, all besides Olsis. He always seemed to cheer me up after a bad day. And the time I was scolded by my father for my improper technique he came to my room and we hung out and watched a movie, He always seemed to cheer me up. But he was a little younger than me. I was 13 and he was 12.
“Do you want to go do something before our dads get back?”
“Mmmmmmm sure!” I couldn't help from smiling.
“Okay, let's go pick the blue apple together.”
The blue apple tree was an apple slightly bigger than a normal apple. But it was way sweeter. They grow as one apple per year on a tree so it's a big deal when they are pickable

“Okay first one there gets the first bite,” Olsis said with a cheeky grin.
I may beat him everytime we fight, but that boy was freakishly fast, Faster than all the monks at the temple.
After some chasing, We managed to make it to the temple gardens. For being so high up in the mountains you think there couldn't be a forest in here. Granted there is a protection spell that stops weather from coming in.
“Over here slowpoke” I looked at Olsis as he sitting on a stone.
“There it is” He looked at the tree smiling.
This was the first time he’s seen a blue apple in person. They’re looked at as food myths.
“Well, what are we waiting for!” He jumped of the rock and jumped to the blue apple.
With a face full of excitement he reached for the blue apple and plucked it right off the tree.
He obviously didn't think about his landing.
“AHHHH!” He screamed,
He threw the apple at me yelling “CATCH!” While he fell face-first into the tree root I caught the apple with no problem.
“Did ya catch it?”
“Yeh, I did!”
“Good, now come over here and lets share it.”
As I walked over he dusted off his pants and grabbed a blanket out from his backpack.
“Okay give it to me.”
I handed him the apple and he sliced it in half.
“You know Frieda… In the books it says, if you share a blue apple its a sign of fondness and feelings for that person.
I laughed “Me? Feeling for you?”
He looked at me a little upset. “Well, I'm not saying I do, I'm just saying what the book says.
‘Hey, I didn't say that those feelings aren't impossible for you to get. Here, how about this if we dont have anybody that we like by the time were 25, Ill be your girlfriend” I said winking at him
He blushed and smiled and said “Okie”
“Here, this is your half.”
He handed me the apple, it looked so good with its juices leaking out of the flesh.
“Okay, let's eat! On the count of 3. 1,2,3” We took the first bite of the apple.
“WOAH THIS IS SO GOOD” we both said.
We both ate the apple so fast that Olsis even got hiccups.
“I'm sleepy Frieda. Ima take a nap here.”
Here he goes with his loud snoring
He's so cute when he’s sleeping. I started to blush. Do I…like him. No, me, I could never like such a loser. He can't even beat me in a fight. I can't stop thinking about it, My body started to move on its own. I pushed back his pretty red hair and I kissed him on his forehead.
I blushed so hard my face was redder than his hair. Then I got light head and I passed out laying on his lap.
But that was 47 years ago
And now my body is moving on its own again. I was going to kill the boy I loved.
As I came soaring through the air I tried to dispel my spear. But Lyon came out of nowhere right as I came through the roof. I was going Mach 3 I had to stop myself.
“GRAMMY STOP!”
My eyes started to tear up. My spear dispersing into the wind. I was going to land in the wall right next to Olsis.
CRASH
I was going to blackout again. My ribs were broken, skull was fractured. I couldn't even think straight enough to use my ki ability. I blacked out right into the lap of Olsis once more….

8 126Technically Abroad
This is the story about Victor who is Technically Abroad and how he is adjusting to this one simple fact. Going to college is a hard time for a lot of people. You just became an adult in society’s eyes, but people still treat you like a kid. A year ago you might have had to ask for permission to use the bathroom, but now you can vote, legally buy most things and work, marry, etc. Even if some people still treat you like a kid. So in the simplest non-spoilery terms, this story is about Victor finding himself in a world that isn’t his, with a lot of rules that weren’t given to him upon arrival. Instead, he has to take the cards he was dealt and do the best that he can, even though he never asked to be part of this game that turned into his life. He has to just hope he can live up to his name. This story will be one that can be found in its entirety here, but thanks to multiple people asking the story to be put here it will be, albeit with a delay compared to the main site. Discord is here if you wish to join the community in a more direct fashion. I'd love to talk with more people who read the story. Also if you wish to aid in the series getting noticed please visit here and give it a boost. Every vote is greatly appreciated.

She who rules the stars with steel eyes and an iron will, the glorious, the beautiful, the adored Goddess, has now fallen under the hands of her nemesis… The Archfiend, Emperor of Talonis, the nation of Vice and its Shadows, has now assumed reign over Stalera after the death of the Goddess. With the power of Vice, its Shadows, and the Universe, it is assumed that he would be satisfied now that Stalera was under his mercy, and the other two nations of Yelerna and Antalis would follow suit. But much to our surprise, he isn’t because he still lacks the… Ruby, The Goddess’ last attempt to save her empire and the entirety of the Universe. Before her death, the Goddess sealed a portion of her blood, which contained the remaining powers of the Universe the Archfiend hadn’t obtained, away from his grasp. She entrusted it to one of her Zodiac Warriors, a member of her elite service known as the Zodiac Warrior Circle, and instructed him to hide the precious jewel on Earth. The restoration of Stalera and the defeat of the Archfiend would lie in the hands of whoever inherited the ruby jewel. Those who inherited the ruby were known as the Goddess’ Successor, and the one next in line to inherit it is… Auriella Corentin. Life was never the same for Auriella the night her Grandmama gave her the ruby jewel and died, thrusting the poor girl into a world of magic. Now in possession of the Goddess’ blood, it wouldn’t be long until the Archfiend found her, killed her, and obtained her ruby inheritance. But Auriella never wanted this responsibility, not when she had her own past and inner demons to battle against. Nevertheless, she finds herself seeking an alliance with the Zodiac Warriors and a strange barista as she learns to wield the powers the Goddess bestowed to her. But as frequent demon attacks, a secret admirer (or stalker), strange notes, and a handsome, amber-eyed boy pile onto her plate, it is no longer clear whether the universe needed Auriella to be their savior or to be the Goddess’ (inferior) replacement. A Goddess in need of redemption. Four Nations at the brink of destruction. Our question still remains unanswered… What will become of us? [Updates Monday, Wednesday, Friday @8pm PST]
