The defence of the city was for a lack of a better term, an absolute mess, with many remaining Loyalists, surrendering to the Rebels by raising the arms of their mechs and stepping out to be captured. Alon's unit consisted of just him and the Pilot from last night as the others were shot down or surrendered to the Rebels.

"What do we do?" She asked as she continued to fire back at them with her kinetic rifle meanwhile Alon had cut down yet another Rebel Mech using the gunblade as he had run out of ammo and threw away the two Beam Sabers he had.

All units this is Artesia! Fall back to the Chrysia Forest! The call sign of the Commander of the Loyalist forces began to ring out to all the communications. The two flew out while trying their best to manoeuvre out of the crossfire. However, unlike the ReZio, the Pilot's Zio had run out of fuel causing her to develop difficulty in flying causing her to nearly crash, not for Alon carrying her out of the crossfire.

"Hold on!" Alon told her as they struggled from the fire from the ground below. "Just leave me, I'll buy you time!" Her voice cracked, clearly putting on a brave front. Yeah, you're not convincing anyone. Alon commented as he sped up the ReZio leaving both of them with a small amount of damage from the battle.

"Take one last look at the City, it'll be a while before we'll be able to get back there," Alon commented with a defeated sigh as they watched the city burn from the ongoing siege. "Hey, can you promise me something?"

"Wh-what is it?" She asked as they were beginning to make their way to the site where the Luna Sea and the Margaress, the Feisher and the Laia, a series of modified Carriers that the Loyalists were able to muster under short notice, are being fueled up and loaded with the remaining loyalist troopers and citizens who wished to join them as part of the crew.

"If we both survive and managed to return to this place, why don't you tour me through the city next time," Alon said trying to lighten her mood.

"I—sure." She told him in a somewhat calmer voice as Alon gently landed her Zio near the Feisher while he landed the ReZio near the Luna Sea where they were just waiting for him to arrive.

"Naga! you have new orders." Alon hopped out of the ReZio to be loaded into the Laia as he saw Wu and Marina preparing a Raider-26, a Fighter jet capable of both air and space combat that is commonly used in the Istarian Military.

"You and the remaining capable pilots are to fly up and clear a path for us from any possible Rebel or Sovereigns above!" Dain called him as he and Ars climbed into a separate Raider-26 while Tsuna and Henri climbed into another.

"We're not taking the mechs?" Alon asked as he jogged towards his Raider-26 while Marina hopped inside of the Raider's Co-pilot seat. How the Raider works is that the first pilot will only have access to the fighter's controls while the co-pilot assists on the Raider's remote weapon systems such as the flares and missiles.

"Nope, Mechs aren't able to handle atmospheric exits yet," Wu said as he ran inside the Luna sea. "We're taking point let's go!" Dain said as all of the remaining ships began to fly up and prepare for atmospheric exit. Their Raider began to let out an alarm preparing the pilot for the exit as it began to rattle on the inside.

"Nervous?" Alon asked Marina teasingly as both of them co-piloting a machine reminded him of the lazy days when they would hijack the family Mobile Worker for joy rides.

"Yeah right, this is like hijacking Dad's Mobile Worker." She replied confidently, he can detect a smirk on her face as she did so.

Eventually, after what felt like a few minutes of nothing but blank darkness, their Raider proceeded to realign itself as they found themselves staring at six massive Sovereign Warships, all of which carry the colours of the Orthos Legion, began to close in on them.

"It amazes me how much manpower the Sovereign can spare just so they can assist a rebellion," Marina muttered under her breath.

"All units take out those Sovereign destroyers!" Dain commanded over the communications. "Incoming Raiders!" Ars followed as their Raider flew past them as its two forward guns and missile pods were activated as they saw a combined force of Sovereign Kataphracts and Rebel Raiders.

"Let's do this!" Both Alon and Marina smiled in unison as they flew forward and followed Dain and Ars' lead until they finally outrun them as they began to open fire at incoming Mechs that have already deployed to intercept them.

"Naga, you have Kataphracts on your tail!" A Loyalist told him as they shot down a handful of Raiders while dodging the fire from a handful of Mechs began to fire at them.

"You trust me right?" Alon asked as alarms began to let out indicating that they are being locked on.

"When have I not?" Marina replied as Alon smiled as though telling her to hold on as he speed up even faster but never bothered to change course as the Kataphracts on their tail sped up as well. Alon took a sharp turn that even with the straps on their seats, the backlash on that turn had notably affected their internal organs but it managed to throw the Kataphracts off their control and crash along the bridge of the warship erupting in a blaze destroying the first Warship in the process.

"Great job Naga!" Dain shouted as he and a few other Pilots cheered as Alon and Marina turned and began to open fire at the Bridge of the Second Warship shattering the first line of defence.

"If I try that again please punch me," Alon whispered to Marina who let out a pained grunt of agreement.

"All Memento Mori Operators, this is Lighthouse." Hayato opened up communications with all Memento Mori pilots. "The Mechs are now prepared for Combat, swap out now so you all can buy time for the Loyalists to send their Mechs!"

Finally. Alon thought as he manoeuvred their way out of the crossfire and sped up back to the Luna Sea where upon landing on the main hangar. Tsuna was already preparing in his own Custom Zio while Dain has yet to arrive.

Both Alon and Marina floated out of the cockpit but the first thing that Marina did was to immediately kick him in the back causing him to float towards his ReZio thanks to the low gravity. "That's for pulling something that dangerous," Marina said as she floated her way towards the other Raider where Henri was waving over her expecting her to fly with her in their Raider.

"I'll keep that in mind," Alon smiled as he grabbed the hatch of the cockpit and threw himself inside and connected his Gestalt Adapter to the ReZio as he watched Henri and Marina fly out into the battle in their Raider.

"Any notable upgrades to keep in mind?" Alon asked Wu as he began to activate the engine of his ReZio.

"Not much, just added more armour plating but it's shaped differently for more mobility in space!" Wu answered as he floated towards the Dain's custom Zio as Dain and Ars finally landed. Alon meanwhile made his way towards the launchpad and took deep breaths as mentally prepared himself for yet another sortie into the fight.

Here we go again, Alon thought as he gripped the controls tightly. For Marina and my family.

"The objective is to take out those ships to buy us time to escape," Hayato ordered as Alon prepared the final details of the ReZio.

"Naga, taking off."

But just as he launched his blood ran cold as he saw an oncoming Carrier and Mechs following on their tail, if Alon and the rest of the Pilots are unable to carve a path out of the battle then there's a chance they'll be cornered here.

With five ships on the front and a handful more on the back, the only way for them to escape at these odds is to take out those ships as fast as possible. And even with the current manpower finally swapping out into all mechs, it's borderline impossible for them to make it out without losing a Warship or two.

Unless I do the impossible. Alon said as he flew towards the five remaining ships once more as his eyes lingered on the Engine Limiter, it was something Wu taught to him a while back that all Mechs are equipped with one and once it's removed then the Mech's acceleration would be three times more but the human body would suffer from it.

"I'll be dead if I don't do anything." Alon sighed with a somewhat amused look as he proceeded to remove all the limiters, he knew that he'd get an earful from everyone knowing how dangerous what he is about to do.

"Naga! You're going too fast slow down!" He heard Hayato, Dain, Tsuna, Wu and Marina yell at him in near Unison over the line as alarms in his cockpit began to blare out while everything around him began to rattle from the speed he was going for.

"That's the—" Alon nearly choked on his blood as the G-forces began to rupture his organs as he began to near the five remaining Warships. "—that's the plan!"

Alon pulled out a beam Saber and with the speed, he was going for proceeded to cut down the bridge of the first Warship and used the Gunblade and fired at the Engine this caused the entire ship to erupt in flames as he turned his sights to the next Warship.

That's one!

He then flew towards the Second warship, this time there were a trio of Raiders flying to intercept him but instead of stopping to directly fight them he proceeded to activate his Vulcan and shot down the first one, kick the second and then bashed the third with a blunt part of his gunblade.

All three were destroyed and he barely slowed down as he began to gain even more momentum as the second ship was near, first he fired two shots from the Gun Mode and then folded out the blade because as soon as he was near enough to the ship he stabbed both his Beam sabre and Kinetic Blade into the hull of the ship that he managed to slice it in half causing yet another explosion killing everyone inside.

Two!

This did not stop Alon as he focused on the third one, this time it had begun to release Mechs making a far different challenge to him but he was barely affected by it. If any he viewed it as a challenge as he grinned despite the pain of the G-forces onto his body were slowly kicking in as he continued full throttle.

But with the speed that Alon was going for he first grabbed the first mech that got out by impaling it on the chest with the Beam Saber, stole the Heavy Kinetic rifle and threw it back inside with a well placed shot from the Gun blade which also served as a makeshift explosive as he flew up and used the Rifle and fired three rounds into the bride and jammed the rifle into the engines and stabbed it again with his kinetic blade causing yet another explosion destroying the third Warship.

Three down!

"Leave those to us!" He turned to find Dain and Tsuna were already in the middle of taking out the remaining Warships, his sights were then turned to the two Warships that were tailing on them.

"At least—"

He didn't hear what Dain said but he flew past him at such a speed that he forgot what he said as he focused on taking out the last two warships as he unfolded the blade and sliced the incoming Mechs that were planning on shooting down the ship while taking out a handful of fighters that were still in the fight.

Do I have enough fuel left? Alon turned to his side panel to show that he still had to not only make the trip to take out the Warship but also return to the Luna Sea for refuelling.

Works for me, Alon pulled out the last Beam sabre he had and pressed on while unfolding the Kinetic Blade and flew onwards taking out a handful of Fighters until he finally made his way to the Warship and—

Crash!

The ReZio was thrown to the side as he was tackled by the Zio-N! In the time of escaping into Orbit and the subjugation of the Warships from earlier, it seems that Liyab had been able to repair the Zio-N and ambushed Alon by ramming into him.

"You again!" Both Alon and Liyab yelled at one another, as Alon grabbed the Zio-N by the neck and threw it into the distance but the Zio-N began to pull out its twin rifles and fired back at him at high speeds.

"This time I'll stop you!" Liyab yelled at him as he flew towards Alon and pulled out the Katana and Wakazashi to fight him.

He knows that I don't have the fuel to attack the ship. Alon thought as he noticed his fuel gauge was slowly being drained with the time he spends on dodging all the attacks. If this keeps up I'll—

"On your left!" He heard Marina's voice as he kicked Liyab to the side as Marina and Henri's Raider flew by and proceeded to unload its entire arsenal at the Zio-N while the three of them flew out of the fighting and back into the Luna Sea.

"This is Naga I need a refuel and reload," Alon said landing it while Wu and Hayato, who was still in his Memento Mori mask, waiting for him, but he blacked out the moment he had stepped out as the moment he disconnected from the ReZio he had finally felt the overall effects of what he had just pulled off.
