《Knights of Auran》It All Starts Here Part 1

It was a beautiful night sky where a happily modern middle-class family walks down a moderately lit parking lot. Kevin a 10-year-old boy is still excited about his trip to the town's motorbike race as his arms were up imitating a motorcycle. Behind him his Father, renowned Scientist Ben Riley and his 5-month pregnant stay at home Mother Alexia walked side by side.
"Mom, Dad, look at me I'm racing on my motorcycle." Kevin exclaims as he imitates motorcycle noises.
"You would think the boy would be exhausted by now, he really liked the show." His father mentions to his wife. Alexia giggles as she gentle rubs her stomach as she cradles her unborn infant.
"I think he gets that energy from you hon." She says.
"Dad, do you think I can race like that someday?" Kevin asks.
"Son, with enough practice, I bet you can make it to the championship."
As the family heads closer to their mini SUV, unknown to them they were not alone. From behind a cargo van a small group of soldiers in black ops gear quietly watches them. Armed, they held their tranquilizer guns tight waiting patiently for the right moment to strike as their signal comes from their commander located nearby.
"Target spotted and confirmed, that's them sir, over." Reports the soldier as he communicates through his wireless com-links within their helmets.
"Roger that, areas been swept there are no witnesses. Replies the captain. "Commence capture."
"Engaging target, over and out" the soldier replies.
With a simple signal, the soldier and his group move forward with their plan. One after another the group quickly comes out of hiding surrounding our family with guns held high. The family, now surrounded, looks in fear at what's happening. From behind other vehicles, more soldiers emerge from their hidden position joining their comrades in surround the family with guns held high.
"Halt!" The captain orders. Do not attempt to move or we will shoot."
"Ben, what 's going on?" Alexia asks concerned for their lives as she holds Kevin closer. Ben stands in defense in front of his family to protect them.
"It'll be ok Lexi, I won't let them near us."
The captain signals his soldiers to rush the family. All at once the soldiers attack. Despite the Father's efforts to defend his family they were too much for him. A pair grabs Ben, while another pair separates Alexia from her son Kevin.
"Let go of me"! She yells. "Ben, what is happening?"
Kevin, despite being small tries to fight off the soldiers that are restraining him.
"Stop it, you're hurting Mom!" He yells with tears rolling down his face.
"Don't you hurt them!" Ben yells at the Soldiers.
Ben breaks free from the hold of the soldier and punches him hard in the face. However, he wasn't fast enough to dodge the butt of the rifle as another soldier smacks him in the face with it. Ben falls on his knees, dazed from the harsh impact of the attack. The Captain walks up to Ben aiming his weapon reminding Ben not to make another move. With his com-link in his helmet, the captain calls his boss.

"Agent Parker, targets have been captured. Area is secured and are waiting your commands, over."
"Good work, I've arrived to your location. I'll be there shortly." replies Agent Parker.
Dazed and light headed, Ben recognizes the name Agent Parker and shudders at the name as he begins to realize how much trouble he is in. Not too far, a black SUV rolls in coming to a halt in front of our family. The passenger door opens. A middle-aged average built man with a cybernetic patch over his left eye comes out wearing a three-piece suit and fedora. He walks up to Ben who has recovered from his stunned event as he looks up to see a not so pleased Parker.
"Dr. Riley, it's been awhile. How have you been?"
"Cut the crap Parker, what's all this about?"
"You know very well why I'm here. Its been ten long years Ben. You promised us five. We wanted results, but instead you run and play house. I'm disappointed in you Doctor."
"So am I." Ben looks at Parker in disgust.
Agent Parker looks over at a frightened Alexia and Kevin, and nods at the soldiers signaling them to begin the next stage in their plan.
"Get her into the SUV, we'll deal with her later."
The soldiers comply as they hand cuff her with a high tech pair of cuffs that cover her hands in a restrained way. They quickly escort her towards the SUV, but she begins to resist.
"Let me go! Ben, help me!"
"Alexia!! Don't you take her, you monsters!"
Ben rises to try and help but the guards behind him quickly grabs him and forces him to go back down on his knees restraining him. Parker walks up to Kevin who his still held restrained by other guards.
"Now then, kid what's your name?" Parkers asks.
Kevin remains silent, though he was scared, he kept a brave face as Agent Parker approaches and crouches down to Kevin's level.
"I said what's your name kid?" Parker replies a little more annoyed at Kevin's stubbornness. To make sure he would talk, Parker opens up his jacket to reveal a 9mm pistol hidden in his coat. Kevin's eyes widen to see that Parker was not playing around.
"M-my name is Kevin."
"See was that so bad? Now tell me how old are ya kid?"
"Give me back my Mom." Kevin responds softly
"Relax kid, just answer the question and-
Before Parker could finish his sentence, Kevin head butts Parker in the face, throwing him back from the impact.
"I said give her back!"
Agent parker retaliates in anger by using the back hand of his pistol and smacking Kevin with it.
"You little brat!"
The sheer force of Parker's blow to Kevin's face knocks him out of the soldier's grasp and lands hard on the asphalt ground.
Ben watches in horror as his son lays lifeless on the ground.
"Kevin?! Son?!" he calls out hoping that his son will reply. But not even a whisper. Furious, Ben looks at Agent Parker. He tries to reach out and attack Parker for striking his son, but the soldiers were too strong for him as they keep him from the Agent.

"Damn it Parker, I'll kill you. I swear to God, I will kill you."
"You brought this on yourself Doctor. You should've done what you were told."
Agent Parker stands up and walks up to Ben and raises his pistol towards Ben's head as he readies to fire his weapon and kill him. Before Parker could pull the trigger, he is distracted by an odd light coming from his peripheral vision. Unsure to what it could be, he glances over and see a blue light of energy rising from Kevin like steam.
"What the hell?"
Everyone begins to pay attention to Kevin, as he stands up. The energy around him builds creating an aura around him. He turns to look at the adults who stare back at him in aww and fear. Kevin's pupils were glowing blue like the aura around him.
"Protect...them." Kevin says as he raises his right hand towards the soldiers. He points at one of the soldiers and without a chance to react, he shoots out an energy beam from his index finger and kills one of the soldiers in the head.
"Weapons up!" Orders the captain.
The soldiers respond by aiming their weapons at Kevin. But Agent Parker intervenes
"Hold your fire. I want him alive, that's an order."
Agent Parker looks back at a surprised Ben who is stunned to see his son at the state he's in.
"Ben, tell him to stop, now." Orders Agent Parker.
"Kevin, its your Father, I'm ok."
Kevin ignores as he charges up an energy ball in his hand the size of a baseball.
"To hell with this." A soldier exclaims as he fires his weapon at Kevin. Kevin reacts as he slightly moves as fast as the bullet to avoid getting killed. However, the bullet brazes his right face towards his eye cutting his face. Instead of blood, a small cut of his skin peels revealing blue energy.
"I want... to protect them."
The soldier freezes in place as he's unsure what to do next. Before he could react, Kevin, in an instant, appears in front of the guard with the ball of energy still in his hand. He thrust the energy ball into the soldier's stomach. The soldiers scream in pain as he can feel the intense heat of the energy going through his body. The energy then bursts in front of the soldier like a small bomb engulfing him in its own flames burning him till he's nothing but ashes flying in the wind. Two soldiers try to grab Kevin from behind, but Kevin senses them approaching. Before the soldier could touch him, Kevin charges his hands and uses his energy to push the soldiers away at high speeds. One crashes through the window of a car killing him instantly due to the impact, the other through the cargo van also killing him. The remaining five soldiers and Agent Parker begin to move away from Kevin.
Agent Parker rushes over to Ben forcing him to stand up and puts a gun to his head.
"Call him off Doc, you should be able to stop him."
"I can't, he's not listening to me."
Kevin sees, Agent Parker with his gun towards his Father's face which enrages him even more. He begins to charge up. The aura around him intensifies, lighting up the area, but as he charges more of his skin starting from where the bullet brazed his face slowly begins to peel off like paper revealing an entity of light within.
"To protect my family, I will kill the bad guys."
"Kevin! Kevin!!!!" His father yells trying to reach through to him.
....................
"Kevin? Kevin, are you sleeping in my class?" Shouts a woman harshly.
An eighteen-year-old Kevin opens his eyes revealing the iris of his right eye to be a crystal blue with an old shaped birthmark around it. He jumps up from his sleep waking up with a cold sweat and in a frightened state. His classmates around him start laughing and making fun by imitating his startled awakening. Kevin looks around realizing he's not ten anymore surround by soldiers in black and his parents in danger, he's in school...high school.
"Class, class that's enough settle down." Yells Miss Hathaway from her dry erase board in the front of the classroom.
"Wait, class?!" Kevin thinks to himself, scratching his head in confusion to what's going on.
"Mr. Riley, just because its, your last day of your senior term doesn't mean you can sleep in my classroom. You'll have plenty of that after you graduate." She scolds him pointing her dry erase marker at him.
"Uh, yes Miss Hathaway, sorry." He answers with an awkward smile.
Miss Hathaway turns and faces the dry erase board again and continues to write her formula on the board.
"Now, class let's continue where we left off."
Embarrassed, Kevin slumps down in his chair wishing he could disappear right now, as he can see some of the students quietly snickering at him and talking about him among their friends.
"Damn it, not this again." He quietly tells himself as he brushes his hair. As the class continues with their lesson, several seats down, a scrawny sick looking bald kid named Stewart looks at Kevin nervous but surprised as he realizes something about Kevin that was revealed to him.
"I don't believe it. It's him." Stewart says to himself.

my first story ^U^
author note: yaaa hurray it’s my first story ^U^ i hope you all like it! all characters belong to my special friends who submitted them!!ok heres the first chapter enjoy ^U^ TL note: Some of you may be wondering why I am translating a story written originally in English, to English. I remember reading this story many years ago, as a teen, and had since dismissed it as a bizarre fever dream. Only recently, through much Googling, did I manage to rediscover it, and as such decided to not only read it again, but fix the author’s many typing issues and share the context of what I remember from its original happening. I believe the story underneath to hold deeper meanings than its strange happenings, but at minimum I hope you will appreciate it for the sheer weirdness of it all. For the best experience, skim it for your first reading and, if you are interested, read more deeply the second time. Some typing is left as-is to preserve what I believe to be authorial intent, or at least necessary effect. If you notice any typing issues I managed to miss, please email them to me at [email protected]

Tabula Rasa : An Unbound Adventure
It starts as many things do: a clean slate, an empty page. What once was set in stone and wholly writ is gone, and all that's left is the vague notion of absence, a fullness lacking. The feeling of being tetherless, pathless, without direction or responsibility is something many would find terrifying. Others might find it freeing - an opportunity to strike out on new adventures and explore the unknown.Either way, first they have to figure out where they are and how they leave. ====== My first novel on this platform! An avid GameLit/LitRPG fan, I decided to start writing this when I seemed to exhaust all of my options for well reviewed content on the site! Inspiration for the world/general feeling is a mix of Azarinth Healer, Abyssal Road Trip, Winterborn, and the Power of Ten series, with a strong reliance on 3.5 and PF1 frameworks as a scaffold for the world. I see Arc 1 as a Robinson Crusoe style coming to terms scenario, lots of exploration of the System, the MC's options, the island and encounters with the denizens and visitors of the Timeless Isle, with a non-zero amount of introspection around their long term goals. I'll publish as frequently as I'm able but don't have a regular cadence planned at the moment.
