Chapter 13
Restart and back Once Again
Leo Leopas
6/6/25 1:31pm
It has been a year since Rex Lopiz vanished, he may have been weird but he did bring me back, Once he vanished into the bright light. . . We all thought it was over, after he was gone the voice spoke to everyone while we were fighting.
Then the fight ended as the gnomes and orcs stopped as they left, then it was our turn all of the undead became corpses again, besides some of the undead, they were absorbed by the bright light as they too vanished, while for us human undead we too were swallowed by the light even the dead soldiers.
Hello, Leo Leopas. . . . .
You are being brought back into your original form as a human. . . . .
You have two options. . . . .
Go back home to earth. . . . . .
Or join Rex Lopiz. . . . .
It's time to choose. . . . .
I want to help Rex for saving me. . . But I want to see my family. . . Let me go home.
Very well, it's alright most humans chose the same option. . .
Well besides a few humans, they make us curious. . .
You will be brought back near your house. . .
I Hope you enjoy your third chance well. . .
Oh and you will be given a power. . .
Rex was able to give a reward to some of his undead . . .
And he chose to give you a reward for being his first undead in that world. . .
Have a good life Leo. . . . . .
Just like that I reappeared in front of my house, I lived with my three siblings, they were younger then me, my sister Ava is 17 while my brother Gavin who is 15, while I am 25
As I fully appeared the door swung open as my sister and brother ran out to me with tears and hugged me to death almost, I could feel my body is that of a living human, I'm no longer an undead.
I Hugged them as my brother asked,
"Hey Leo, what is that?" he asked.
Ava and Gavin looked behind me as a Dark fog began to form, we watched as I pushed them behind me, it looked like Rex's power over the dead, once the dark fog dissipated.
A skeleton stood there, it held a bone spear and the bones of the skeleton were not normal, they were thicker and made armor around its body, the other hand had a shield made out of thick bone, as it stood there looking at me.
Ava was about to scream as I walked over to it I spoke,
"Did Rex send you here?" I asked.
The skeleton nodded as it whispered,
"My master, sent me here to protect you. . . Master said he did not want you to die again. . ." The Skeleton said in a whisper it felt cold as it spoke.
Two more bright lights formed this time it was like mine as it vanished, I saw them once again. . The reason I joined the military. . My parents looked at their hands, once they saw they were back, they looked at the three of us with tear filled smiles as they ran over to hug us.
Today was filled with tears we held onto our parents till my father saw the skeleton then he went in front of us to protect us from it, I laughed as I said,
"It's okay father, he is from my savior." I said with a smile.
They looked confused so we brought them inside as my sister showed the livestream of where I fought the orcs and died, they looked at me as I said,
Advertisement
"Man that is so cringy how did I say that with a straight face?" My sister called me stupid for saying that.
My parents were confused, my sister then showed the stream where a man suddenly appeared from a bright light, he then said a chant they saw as I came back to life as an undead.
I explained to my family what happened afterwards, including the gnomes and talking with the orcs, all the way to when the army attacked, to myself coming back here.
Once again the skeleton whispered out loud,
"My master also told me to hand you this note, he said he has something for you waiting there, he wishes you to make sure it is destroyed, that is your last order from Rex himself." the skeleton said as he handed a note
We read it out loud.
"Hello Leo, I kind of guessed you would go back to earth, I wish I could do the same however the voice has different plans for me, I don't know where you live but I chose to give you this last task, I know you have no reason to but I wish you could do me this favor, at this lactation is my home could you make sure to destroy it for me. please burn it down."
-Rex Lopiz
We all looked at each other as my father spoke,
"Road trip we only live 2 hours away from that place, Plus he did bring you back, it's the least you can do for the man." He walked outside as my mother followed him.
"I wonder what his house looks like, maybe it's a cool castle." Gavin said as he followed my parents.
Then I too followed as my sister walked behind me with the skeleton, We are going on a road trip.
Leo Leopas
6/6/25 3:45pm
When we finally arrived it was not what we were expecting, it took us a bit more time such that we had to stop at places along the way, the city where my parents died was standing as if it was never destroyed.
The place where Rex lived was a huge damn campground, once we got there we saw a damn factory, we parked our car in the large parking spot, we heard a loud thumping noise as we heard a loud robotic voice call out.
"Sir, is that you?" The robotic male voice said.
Soon we saw a 6ft Robot looking right at us.
"How dare you enter my leader's territory!" The robot said as he pulled out a wood axe
I then remembered what Rex said, he had the power of machines as well.
I spoke before it charged us,
"Are you one of Rex's creations?" I yelled as it stopped and placed it's weapon down.
"You know my Leader?" he said, confused.
"Yes I worked under him for awhile, he brought me back before" I replied
"I see, did the voice speak to you then?" it asked.
"Yes and I also have this skeleton from rex, as well as been told to burn this place" I replied
"If Leader, no Rex said that he must have a reason, it's all my fault for his death. . . .If I had not gone to the city . . . If I had not been Killed. . . My core would not have been destroyed. . . " The robot started to talk all of a sudden with a sorrowful robotic voice.
"He is not dead." I said.
It looked at me, as I spoke.
"If you think Rex is dead you are wrong, he appeared out of a bright blue light and saved everyone who died, he gave us another chance, he then disappeared into a bright light and left a note." I told him as I gave him the note.
"I see, he has been granted a world of his own, that means he will return again. . ." The robot said.
"What do you mean by granted a world of his own?" I asked.
Wow you are smart for being a simple core. . .
To answer your question, what he said is correct but wrong. . .
Rex Lopiz has been granted another chance. . .
He was killed trying to bring everyone who died in the battle back to life, he was warned yet still did it. . .
We saw this and thought we should give him another chance. . .
A new beginning in another world which is filled with all sorts of creatures as well as races and civilizations. . .
There he shall grow stronger than before. . .
That is if he does not die again. . .
One day his world he is on now shall get connected to this one. . .
That should explain his situation. . .
And I only came here to bring him the rest of his belongings including you HSA1. . .
The items belonging to Rex Lopiz will be destroyed as for the buildings only the factory will be gone. . .
So the note is useless, I still can't believe he told me to give that to you, he is weird. . .
Anyways for coming this far I guess it's only fair to give you ownership of this land for when he returns. . .
Don't worry about the landlords, they have been given payment already so this is now in your name Leopas family. . .
Just like that the robot and factory disappeared, the only thing left was the buildings and papers for the campground with all of our names already signed.
"It looks like we can sell the house." my father laughed.
"What about our items?" Ava and Gavin asked
"We will just hire a moving company, plus this place already has everything like WIFI, as well as everything you could think of so we will get all of our items brought here." My dad said as he called a moving company.
Why was he ok with this then I saw just how much land it said we now owned 100 acres including the campground, that was why he was happy we can do anything on this land, I suppose I should start helping out around here more and get a new job somewhere, I will have the skeleton always protecting my family I shall not lose them again.
Rex Lopiz
3/1/26 9:00am
Rex Lopiz, all of your favors have been granted. . .
Leo has been given his reward and the note. . .
The other rewards have been rejected due to their choices. . .
out of all of the Humans a total of 3 chose to follow you. . .
out of all of the Orcs 6 chose to follow
out of all of the Ogres 1 chose to follow
out of all of the Gnomes none followed
out of all of the Wolves none followed
out of all of the Myconid none followed
Factory has been brought over including PFC HSA1
Welcome To The Planet Athea, Rex
*Gasp*
Once again I find myself waking up in a whole new fucking planet nevertheless, why does this have to happen to me, it's not like I care too much though as long as Leo got my note. . . .
Wait did the voice say people chose to follow me into this unknown planet. . . .
I immediately looked around and there I saw the idiots who chose to follow.
First we got three humans who I knew, one was Hailey and then a marine, with an officer a LTC to be exact, we then had Trek with his 5 bodyguards and of course there was Giruk. . . And he was here as well, my first creation PFC HSA1. . .
The voice brought him back, that was one of the rewards I chose yet they said it did not get granted, well it did and I'm actually happy that it did, Thank you voices.
They were all just laying around on their backs sleeping.
"GET YOUR LAZY BUMS UP! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHERE WE ARE?!?!?!" I shouted as they all jumped.
They looked around as they saw me staring right at them, they got up and looked around, Giruk was the first to speak,
"OOO, this is a new world? And they did let me come with you, I'm so happy to be here with you rex, I was given the chance to go home, but how could I? you were so much better than home," Giruk said and it made me happy.
They all nodded but all had to say something else
"Well to be honest as I was offered to come to a new world I had to accept they said you would be here and I had to pay you back for saving me." The marine said
"Yeah I'm in the same boat as him I served the country for years, Once I saw how fast they tried to put a bullet in me, once I was blown to pieces I knew I would never want to go back, you gave me my life back without even knowing who I was, I would happily serve you then those people again, also my name is Nick Hudson at your service." Nick said.
"oh yeah my name is Aidan Hakim." the marine said.
'You know my name, It's Hailey but my last name is Torres, anyways I came because I know you would need someone with some sort of medical knowledge especially you." Hailey said bluntly.
"I followed because you will need someone to protect you and to help train your soldiers, while my bodyguards followed because I did." Trek said.
"Sir! PFC HSA1 Reporting for duty once again Sir!. . . " HS1 said aloud.
Everyone looked at the robotic voice and saw the 6ft machine, they were probably confused especially the orcs and ogre.
I ran to HSA1 and hugged the piece of metal.
"I'm so glad. . . The voice let you come back. . . " I said as I had a tear fall.
Everyone looked confused, why was this man crying to a machine? that is what they thought I bet.
"Sir, I'm sorry for leaving, this time I will make sure to protect you better." HS1 said with a joking robotic tone.
I backed up as I spoke, "Yeah you better! You sent me to another world, you jerk!" We both laughed.
"Everyone, this is my other power, the ability to make machines, this was my 1 free creation, His name is PFC HSA1, it stands for Heavy Soldier 1 , but from now on he is known as PFC Max."
Max nodded in agreement with his new name.
"Now the first step is to look at our surroundings, this planet's name is Athea." I said
"Captain, The voice told me when I was talking to Leo that this planet is filled with all sorts of races and creatures which have their own civilizations." Max said.
"I like that new title, and that's good to know." I said.
"It seems we are all that is in this area for now, but let us find a new place where we can set up base and call our home." I said.
Everyone agreed we began to move, we had no weapons but that was no issue, we had max who could easily deal with threats even unarmed, we walked for an hour when we spotted a mountain in distance, as we got closer we saw a forest was surrounding it but there were flat grass fields as well.
We then saw some smoke coming from near the mountain it was pass the tree line, we decide to go look what it was, when we got into the tree line we heard the sounds of metal hitting metal, and yells as more clashing was heard, we had to move in more quietly, which was hard with an ogre and a robot.
but we did manage to do it by having the ogre move on its stomach, he was 10ft tall now I could tell that he shrunk, why was that? Anyways once we saw the road we saw a small skirmish of humans there was a carriage with a crest of a golden dragon, there were 5 knights who had the same crest on their armor and 3 others who had less armor who had the crest, they were probably normal soldiers.
They were fighting a group of goblins that numbered in the 30’s still alive fighting them, on the ground were dead soldiers and goblins more goblins then soldiers but they were being exhausted by the fight.
The knights just now entered the combat, they swung their swords skillfully as they cut the goblins down like it was nothing, the other side of the road had a roar, as more goblins ran out, they were much better then the first group of goblins, they were more equipped they had shields with their weapons and wore a kind of leather armor.
There was now 50 more goblins some held bows as they shot at the soldiers they used their shields but were being overrun, the knights then chanted the same spell,
"Flame sword"
That was all they had to say for their swords to now have flames as they swung the goblins armor caught fire as they were killed, but once they were pushing back more normal goblins came running, they just had small daggers and clubs.
Why was there so many till I realized the smoke was coming from the other side of the road, there was probably a goblin camp over there.
"Let us give these knights a hand shall we max?" I said with a grin.
"Yes captain, let us have some fun." Max said.
As a knight was about to be killed Max rushed over and grabbed the goblin mid air, and began to smash the goblin's head into the ground as goblin blood flew all over the surrounding knight and max's armor.
The knight leaped back as Max stomped the goblin's head in as he picked up the spear and ran into the large group of goblins, Max twisted and turned as he pierced the goblins with the spear and picking up the small daggers and threw them into goblins who were getting close to the knights and soldiers.
I ran out of the tree line and picked up a small short sword from a goblin as I ran over to Max.
"Captain are you here to join me?" he said without pausing,
He decapitated a goblin as he was speaking, I let out a laugh as I saw the blood fly, being a necromancer changed me, whenever I saw blood for the first time I threw up, but now when I see blood and the dead it does not bother me instead I can feel the magic swell up inside of me, which makes me smile the sensation never gets old.
I swung my sword as the goblin moved out of the way of max but was then met with my blade instead, I never swung a sword so when it hit the goblin it did not cut through him all the way like max's did but it still injured it.
I laughed as I began to hack into the small goblin with my blade, the bloodlust getting the better of me as I found the next goblin, A goblin shot an arrow as max went in front of me and it simply bounced off of his body, I then went around him and swung my sword into the archers neck.
It dodged as it pulled a small dagger, It jabbed as I was late to block it and it sliced my right cheek, I could not feel it because of the adrenaline, I simply grabbed the small creature as it tried to stab me I simply stabbed into its stomach, as I let out a wide grin of seeing the small creature scream and die in my hand.
Once I came back to myself I saw I was covered in blood and there was a goblin in my hand.
"HOLY SHIT!" I yelled as I threw the goblin and looked at myself.
"What just happened to me? Did I do that? I asked out loud.
"Yes, you even smiled as it died in your hand, you were not yourself." Hailey said as she took the blade out of my hand.
The door to the carriage opened as a lady who looked to be 19 to 20, the knights lowered their heads as she walked by and she looked to the dead as she said.
"Make sure you place the dead soldiers on the horses we need to give them back to their families for a proper burial." she said as she walked over to us.
There was one knight who followed her over to us, she was a little shorter than me, but not by much though, she had golden long hair and was skinny as well.
She walked in towards us as she spoke,
"my name is Angela Goldstein." The lady said with a bow.
