Day 10 in Integration

The long-awaited time finally came, as Will was welcoming 10 new villagers at the teleportation gate, in front of him appeared a blue box.

Acquired "Human Subordinate Summon Token" (Uncommon) (Low)

Suddenly from the sky ray of light hit the village, and at the impact site appeared building.

A huge commotion broke out in the village, especially newcomers were quite scared by sudden changes.

Remembering the backstory of villagers and understanding that because of the awful experience newcomers can easily panic Will quickly turned to Marcus who was standing nearby.

-There no need to worry most likely it is the auction house that appeared, for now calm down newcomers, I will go and check the auction house.

By the time Will got to the auction house there already gathered a crowd, and some militia headed by Rey was blocking the crowd from coming too close.

"No matter what she is very competent and nobody can argue with that"

Will went through the crowd to the auction house and was allowed to pass by militia who immediately recognized him.

As Will was examining the auction house Rey came up to him.

-Welcome, Lord Kondor.

-It is an impressive building, isn't it Rey?

Rey looked to the building and said.

-Very impressive.

The auction house wasn't very big, compering to the barn it even can be called quite small but it had something that no other building in the village had, beauty and elegance. The auction house was a crystal white building looking like a straight cut of the first half of a pyramid and at the top was written a golden title that was in unknown language but understandable to everyone, "Noble Auction House".

After enjoying the view for some time, Rey finally asked.

-Lord Kondor, you don't look surprised at all, did you know that it will appear here?

Said Rey with furrowed brows.

"I knew that will be granted access to noble auction but didn't know that building would appear, I thought it will be some sort of small pocket system, most of times developers don't give enough information"

-I knew that something like that could happen, it is my fault, I should have warned you.

Rey sighed.

-Lord Kondor please don't forget to warn us beforehand if something like this happens again.

-Yes you are right, it is my bad.

Rey wasn't hostile to Will anymore, 10 days of working together made her understood that Will wasn't like the noble she hated, despite they weren't very close they respected each other's roles and boundaries.

After telling Rey to forbid anyone from entering the auction house and to attach somebody as security Will entered inside.

The inside of it was as if screaming "I am rich", the auction house was filled with beautiful statues and golden products but the strange thing about it was its size, inside was very spacious, that spacious that it didn't fit the size that was seen from the outside.

"Is this some kind of space compression as "Storage Ring" but on a much bigger scale?"

Will was in something like a lobby and some distance away from him was what he assumed reception where dark-haired Asian man and beautiful European blond women were sitting. Thinking that he can observe this place after dealing with work Will went to the reception.

-Welcome dear customer, we can see that it is your first time at systems noble auction house, would you like to take a quick briefing about our services?

Said a beautiful blond woman with a radiant smile.

-Yes

Answered Will with blush, if compare this woman with Rey, then Rey with her bronze skin and the fine body was sexy but the receptionist was as if from completely another league her angelic face, white skin, and perfect body with big boobs were as if it was a gift from heavens, as if she was a higher being.

-We are giving three sorts of services, first you can buy other nobles items by participating in auctions that will happen every day, second, you can put your own items to the auction by paying a fee, and the third you can sell your items to auction for a price determined by the system.

As the blond woman finished talking and was waiting for Will's reaction she saw that he was just staring at her. Asian man's loud laughter was the thing that awakened Will.

-I... I a-am so sorry.

-Don't worry boy you are not the first one and not the last.

Said, Asian man.

When Will turned back to the blond woman, for a moment it seemed to him that contempt appeared in her eyes but when she radiantly smiled to him Will thought that this was just his imagination.

-You don't have to be sorry, I think any woman would be pleased if someone as handsome as you would be interested in them. Should I repeat our services?

When the blond woman said that Will used all his power to not again stare at her, and answered.

-No. there no need to repeat but I would like to have more details about how the auction will take place.

-Of course, we have two types of auctioning depending on the fee that paid item owners. First, for a low fee, it is when your item at something that you can call online auction, the item would be displayed on the list for a certain time and everyone can bid until that time would be over, you can also set max price by having paid which, the buyer can immediately acquire the item. We don't recommend this way if you have items of high value because it is easy to manipulate by placing a bet last moment so nobody else has time to make a higher bet.

When the blond woman said "online auction" Will was very surprised because up to this point it looked like NPC didn't know anything about the player's world, but he dismissed this and continued listening.

-In the second type of auction you pay a higher fee but your item would be auctioned in the traditional way. Potential buyers or their representatives will gather in the auction house and make their bets.

-But isn't it counter-productive, in the first case everyone could bet but in the second only the ones that came to the auction house on that day.

Said Will with confusion.

-Don't worry we would announce most of the items beforehand so the ones that will come would be serious buyers that really want to buy items and willing to pay a high price for them. And also live-betting most of the times making people more hot-headed so they spend more money.

-How often do auctions take place?

-Normally a smaller one, once a week and a bigger one, once a month. After tomorrow would be the first weekly auction.

Trying to digest all new information Will casually asked.

-Why after tomorrow?

And as if waiting for this question Asian man answered with a big grin.

-Because it is 5'th day after coming of a first noble to the auction house.

Will was shocked by this information.

"How this can be? Every day noble players are getting ten people so if there weren't any unexpected deaths then everyone has to finish the quest today"

Not hoping for an answer Will still asked.

-How had they done this?

This time answered blond woman throwing angry glances at the Asian man.

-Unfortunately, we can't answer your question. The dear customer would you liked to have some tea...

Will has got a subtle feeling as if the blond woman was trying to distract him from his thoughts but he ignored her, after little thinking Will had ideas about how other players could've increased their population.

"They have to find another noble players village which I by myself found just recently despite that I send scouts very early and conquer this village but to accomplish the mission in 5 days whoever did that have to conquer village without giving casualties in both sides or conquer two villagers but taking in consideration that how hard is to find them I doubt that it is possible to find and conquer two players villagers in such short time"

WIll remembered that in the last reports of scout teams was two places of interest, one was another players village with how scouts reported some special building and another was what Will assumed, a native tribe with a population of about 200.

"Or maybe they somehow integrated native tribes"

-Dear Customer?

Snaped from thoughts by a blond woman's words Will came to his senses.

-You said that I could send somebody else as my representative?

-Yes, whoever would come here from your village would be automatically perceived as your representative.

After clarification of some more details, Will exited the auction house and went to find Rey, not finding her Will went to the newly built town hall which in fact was just a little more spacious normal house where villagers discussed problems and found there Marcus with some other villagers who if Will remembered correctly were mostly builders.

As he entered the building all villagers made a short bow already knowing that Will wasn't a fan of the kneeling thing.

-My lord it is good that you are here, I just wanted to discuss with you...

Not wanting to get distracted by something else Will interrupted Marcus.

-Later Marcus, call Rey to my house.

As Will was going to immediately exit he remembered one more thing.

-And I want to start selling spears that Doran made, find somebody who fits best to be my representative in the auction house.

After answering some details that Marcus asked Will went to his humble house.

"I think it is the best to use my summon token until Rey came"

He pulled out a silver summon token that he in a rush threw into his back bag.

"Please let it be some sort of governor.. please"

There were two main reasons why Will wanted it to be governor, first is because despite Marcus can manage the village now by himself in the near future it wouldn't be easy for just one "Village Head" to manage his lands.

And second, maybe the most important reason is to limit the influence of Marcus, Will was trusting to Marcus but after reading forums he understood that NPC as normal people can betray and now Marcus was the man with the highest influence in the village may be just apart from Will himself so Will wanted to have somebody else to split influence of Marcus and hold him in check. Will for some time was thinking to select few people from the village to share responsibilities with Marcus but considering that he didn't know very good anybody apart from the first ten villagers he just gave up, so the governor from subordinate summon token because of high loyalty would've been the best option for him.

As Will gave a mental command to summon, in front of him appeared a 1,8 m height, half-naked, dark-haired, slightly tanned muscular man with whiskers and hair tied in a bun.

As he saw Will he kneeled and said.

-My lord, Sadar is ready for your orders

-Sadar I would like to get acquainted with you, but first, let me know your classes.

By questioning Sadar Will learned that he had "Officer"' (Uncommon) (Low), "Veteran Cavalryman" (Common) (Peak), "Veteran Spearman" (Common) (High), and "Swordman" (Common) (Medium) classes.

After learning some more details it turned out that "Officer" is a special class that determining which commanding position a wielder can effectively take. In this case, because of (Uncommon) (Low) rank Sadar can effectively command 100 people and if Will will give under his command soldiers then Sadar will get "Lieutenant" (Uncommon) (Low) class but even if Sadar will get thousands of soldiers under his command he won't get higher military class until upgrading "Officer" class.

As Will was questioning Sadar, Rey came but as she was entering the house she was shocked to see an unknown half-naked with whom Will was vividly discussing something.

-I... I can come later if you want.

Said Rey with a slightly blushed face.

Understanding that Rey clearly misunderstood something Will hurried explained.

-It looks like you have misunderstood something, this is Sadar he would command our village's forces.

Rey immediately became serious, she furrowed her eyebrows and asked.

-Can I know why you decided to give this unknown man this post?

Will experienced deja vu as Rey asked this with a disgruntled face.

In the absence of a better candidate or someone appointed by Will, Rey as "Militia Captain" and one of the first villagers was a non-official leader of villages combatants so she wasn't very happy by this turn of events where she would have to obey orders of someone unknown.

"At least she doesn't display that hostility as at the beginning... but it can't continue more, I have to show who is in charge here"

Now when Rey wasn't that critical to the village Will decided finally to say what he always wanted.

-Rey it is my decision as lord of this village, you can't and won't question it.

Rey bit her lip, bowed head, and said.

-I just wanted to be sure that our people in good hands.

Sadar intervened.

-My lord I understand miss Rey, she just worries about the competence of a man who would lead her friends.

Sadar said that with a kind smile but then a kind smile was replaced by a predatory grin as he said.

-And I would like to show my abilities.

Tired of this conversation and Wanting to finally get to the main point Will said.

-Rey the real reason why I called you is because we are going to visit a tribe that the scouts founded. We would equip as many combatants as we can without too much affecting village development.

Hearing about Will, Rey flinched.

-Are we going to fight?

-Hopefully not, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

Up to this point, Will did not interact with the player village or native tribe because first he wanted to build a solid foundation but knowing that some players were already one step ahead he couldn't wait anymore.
