《TeamFortress2's New Addition》Chapter Twenty-Seven

You woke up and stared at the ceiling, not wanting to move. You peered at the clock and it was 6:30 AM. Why did I wake up so early? You closed your eyes and tried to go back to the dreams you were already forgetting. It didn't work. You begrudgingly opened your eyes up and pulled the covers off. You sat up and walked to your closet. You stood there with your head on the closet door for a minute until opening it up with your outfit. I wonder if it wasn't for the training, we could dress more casually. You walked with it into the bathroom and got dressed. You brushed your teeth, combed your hair, and stared at yourself in the mirror. You walked back out for the other components of your clothes. This necklace-pouch thing is actually really heavy with everything in it. It's hurting my neck. Regardless, you put it on. You slipped on your shoulder and knee pads. These are helpful, but they irritate my skin. You left the weapons in their place under your bed. It wasn't worth it to get them now. You stared at yourself in the mirror, looking at yourself up and down repeatedly. Is this what I look like to everyone? Wow, that's both weird and... I don't know. Before you left, you grabbed your phone.
You opened up the door to the hallway and closed it behind you. You walked directly to the couch in the living room. Despite the amount of time you spent just standing there, it was still a bit dark outside and everyone was supposedly in their rooms. You looked around for anyone before doing a face-flop into the cushions. You layed there for who knows how long. You eventually sat up when you saw light. You leaned back and stared at the ceiling. I'm really tried. Why am I so tired?
"Oh, jou're avake," you heard Medic comment as he walked in. He was dressed more casually without his lab coat. Maybe I should dress casually. Hm....
"Yes that seems to be the situation," you said in a somewhat of a monotone voice.
"Hmph, vhatever." He walked into the kitchen and you gave a thumbs up.
He started rummaging around in there and you closed your eyes. You sat in silence while you heard him start the food. You relaxed to the sound of the breakfast cooking. Eventually Scout walked in and sat down with Soldier following.
"Heya Strats!" He said.
"Hey Scout," you responded, holding in a yawn.

"Tired?" Scout laughed.
"Yeah. I don't even know why. I didn't stay up last night."
"Wow. That sucks."
"Yep." You sat in silence while Soldier stood by the wall. Eventually the others slowly trickled into the living room. They had conversations with each other while you sat in silence. You stared up at the ceiling.
"You okay?" Engie asked you. Right... I have a feeling they'll ask me that many times.
"Yeah, just tired." You saw him nod in corner of your eye. Eventually the sounds from the kitchen died out and Medic walked out wiping his hands with a towel.
"Breakfast is ready," he announced and walked back inside. As a group, you all walked into the kitchen and shuffled around until you had your food and sat down. This morning you all had waffles. In the middle of the table there were blueberries and syrup bottles for everyone to share.
"Thank you for cooking Medic," you said, picking up the knife and fork.
"Jou're velcome," he responded and you cut into your waffle. You all eat together as they conversed among themselves like you weren't there. It didn't necessarily bother you, you were just eating. I wonder whose training me today. They're all talking so I'll ask later.
Eventually, though, everyone finished their meals and started putting the dishes in the dishwasher. Scout, Spy, and Soldier left already while Demo and Engie were talking in the living room. Medic, Heavy, and Sniper were leaving the kitchen. You put your dish in the dishwasher and closed it. You looked up to see Pyro with their dish in their hand.
"Oh! Sorry Pyro, here." You opened the dishwasher back up and took the plate from him. You set it with the others and closed it back up. You stood up and Pyro didn't move. You could hear their unsettling breathing while your palms began to feel clammy. As you wiped them on your pants they grabbed your wrist and started walking. "Um Pyro?" You tried to make them let go but they didn't.
They dragged you out of the kitchen and through the living room. Everyone there stopped and stared, but none of them said anything. What the fuck guys? A little help would be nice... I guess he's training me. You looked to Engie and he nodded like he knew what was happening. It made you feel a bit better. You let Pyro drag you down the hall and past the Medbay towards the arena. You made your way there and they opened up the doors. They led you a bit from the door next to the Medic that was already there. They walked further away, picked up their weapons, and held their flamethrower. You looked from Medic to Pyro before shaking your head out of it and taking Pyro's class disk. You let out a breath before turning it on. Immediately, you were covered in a suffocating suit partnered with a gas tank on your back. You looked around and became very confused. What the hell happened to the arena? It looked pink and bubbly, like a little girl's dream. The ground was now grass and Medic looked like a floating baby with wings.

"What the hell?" You gave a muffled shout. The baby-thing turned to you and smiled. Fuck this shit.... Then you noticed flamethrower in your hands. It looked like trumpet bell-things extended from a pink ball of some sort. It was hard to describe. You walked up to a flying-baby Pyro and they looked at you with a tilted head before nodding and giggling. They had a weird-looking flame-thrower as well. They turned to your right and pushed the button the flamethrower. It shot... rainbows and sparkles. If those are the flames, then they don't stretch that far.
Soldier entered the arena and fired a what you thought was a rocket at Pyro. Pyro circled around it before pulling a different trigger and firing it at the wall to the left of you. I guess Pryo can deflect rockets? That's useful. Soldier nodded and left. You tried to take off your mask and managed to. Pyro pulled out a flare gun and when you looked through the mask again, it was a bubble wand. He blew bubbles and when you lifted up the mask, you saw the flare soar through the air. Is this what Pyro really sees? Some twisted fairy tale? Then, Pyro took out a fire ax. You put the mask back on and saw a giant lollipop. That actually looks cool, but unnerving. Pyro swung it around like he was prancing through the meadows you saw through the mask. Okay... scary. So they see a whole different fantasy world than reality? That's twisted, but I didn't make the goggles. If my main weapon here is the flamethrower, I can't just run up to people and expect to kill them quickly. They can easily get away and kill me. I guess I'll have to find a way to surprise them around different areas to get the jump on them. I know people don't burn quickly. Good to know.
Pryo didn't move anymore, so you turned their disk off. They looked at you with confusion again before nodding and grabbing your wrist. They took you out of the arena again and Medic followed. You walked in silence back to the base and past the Medbay. Instead of leaving then, Medic continued to follow you. Are we not done? What's going on? Pyro walked up to their room and opened the door.
"A-are you sure Pyro? What are we doing?" You stuttered out and he dragged you in. Medic seemed to reluctantly follow. There was a pink plastic table with little chairs surrounding it. In all but two of those chairs were a pink, stuffed, balloon-looking unicorn, and other stuffed animals. There was a tea set on the table and Pyro pulled you down into a chair next to a teddy bear. Pyro sat opposite of you next to the ballon unicorn and poured you some tea. What is going on? They handed you the tea cup and you nervously took it. Well, if it's poisoned at least there's Medic. Pyro poured their own and clinked his cup with yours. They put the cup down and clapped while they giggled. You took a sip of the tea and it wasn't half bad. Pyro hugged his unicorn tightly. Hm, they aren't a deranged person, but they do have a bit of crazy. I don't understand what everyone was making a huge deal about. You smiled and nodded at Pyro. Pyro turned to Medic and motioned him to join, but Medic shook his head.
"No thank jou Pyro," he declined. Pyro huffed, crossing their arms and pouting like a baby. You took another sip of your tea, looking between Medic and Pyro. "Alright fine, just stop zhat!" Medic mumbled to himself and sat on your right on the ground at the table. Pyro gave him his tea you chuckled watching a grump grown man hold a tea cup meant for toddlers. Medic glared at you and only made you louder. Pyro joined in as well.
The tea party ended shortly after, and you left with Medic behind you. Pyro was still there at the table talking to their stuffed animals. You had a smile on your face. You were about to walk to your room before Medic grabbed your shoulder.
"It's time ve talk," he told you and started steering you towards the Medbay.
