《Invader Zim >> Not Just a Defect <<》Chapter 10

Tallest Purple sat in shock.
He turned the final recording on.
Tallest Miyuki was smiling at the camera, the purple Vortian, Prisoner-777, standing next to her.
"Our research has been a success!" said Miyuki, smiling.
She held up the sleek, oval-shaped PAK. It was silver and had three pinkish-red spots.
"As you can see, my assistant and I had finally finished the new, and improved, Era II Irken Invader PAK. This is only just a prototype, but it is fully operational and will be tested out on ONE of the new smeets that are about to hatch. As you can see, this PAK has been equipped with all the standard technology found in today's version of PAKS, but they are better, more improved to work with the smaller compartments of this PAK. These tools consist of an organ harvester for harvesting the organs from other life forms, scanner pads to help scan biological or technological objects, handheld communicators to help communicate with SIR units and other Invaders, a memory cell that will house all the memories of its Invader, a charging cell that will have the new ability to charge on its own when its Invader goes into a 'sleep' like state, an atmospheric processor to help process the pressure of the atmosphere of the Invading planet, high tech infrared/night vision binoculars that will allow the Invaders to see further distances with the ability to see infrared heat signatures and in night vision, holographic transmitters that will transmit a hologram of its Invader to any location at a certain distance range, four rocket boosters to help the Invader fly through the vacuum of space, and a biochemical rebreather mask to help the Invader breath in the vacuum of space" explained Miyuki, pushing a couple of buttons on the keyboard.
There was a cable leading from the keyboard and was connected to the PAK. As Miyuki had been describing the features of the new PAK, she had been inputting a couple of commands, allowing the features to come out one at a time as she described their primary function.
"There is also a feature in the new spider-like legs that we had added in at the last minute" said Prisoner-777, looking at the screen.
Miyuki nodded in agreement.
"The spider-like legs are a new feature for Irken Invaders. They will help assist the invaders when they must reach high places, or to simply help them escape. Because of the skinny, light design of the legs, we could only make four of them, for if we stuck to the traditional eight which Earth Spiders possess, it would have created complications with the storage of the legs. We have also figured that by having eight instead of four would generate a higher risk of a misstep, for the Irken will have to focus on controlling all eight. To make up for the four missing legs taken out of the final design, we have decided to install lasers that can be shot from the tops of the four legs. These lasers will assist the Invaders for when they have no other choice but to attack their adversary" explained the blue clad Tallest.
She pushed some buttons and the four spider-like legs in the PAK came out.
They were long and appeared to be made of a strong, light material that looked silver in colour. The joints were not connected together like the standard joint would, but instead had a pinkish-red crystal suspended between each joint piece by a special magnet that kept them together.
Miyuki held the PAK up and activated the four lasers at the tips of each leg. The four legs got into position and aimed at a test dummy that had been set up behind the Tallest. The four lasers went off and hit the dummy in the chest, making the thing evaporate and turn into a pile of ash.

Miyuki smiled and turned back to the camera.
"I will secretly plant this prototype PAK among the other PAKS that will be given to the new smeets that are about to be hatched. Tallest Spork has no idea of my research, and will never tell that this PAK is a prototype. This PAK was intentionally made sleeker and smaller, but it was also meant to blend in with the new line of PAKS that I had produced. The new line of PAKS looks like the prototype here, but they still have the standard tools and equipment in them. Despite being a newer version of the older PAKS, the prototype is still reprogramable" said Miyuki.
"We should get a move on Almighty Tallest Miyuki! The hatching of the new generation of smeets is about to start!" said Prisoner-777.
Miyuki nodded, looking at the clock behind her on the opposite wall.
"Tallest Miyuki and her assistant signing off" said Tallest Miyuki, unplugging the cable from the PAK.
The screen went black for a few seconds, but turned back on afterwards.
The scene was now different.
The camera showed Tallest Miyuki planting the prototype PAK between two other PAKS that were on the cable line. She turned to whoever was holding the camera and smiled, giving the thumbs up. A purple hand appeared in front of the camera and also gave the thumbs up. The hand must have belonged to Prisoner-777, who was holding the camera and recording.
Some voices were heard and Tallest Miyuki gasped. She gestured Prisoner-777 to go and hide as the sound of footsteps came closer.
The camera shook, pointing down at the ground as Prisoner-777 started running to find someplace to hide. After a few seconds of running, the camera was lifted back up, showing that he was now hiding behind a large, mechanical arm that had been shut off and appeared as if it were about to be scrapped.
The camera was pointing at Tallest Miyuki, who was standing in the middle of the large room. Tallest Spork and a couple of guards came into the room.
It was difficult to hear what they were saying, considering Prisoner-777 had hid behind something that was against the far wall, but was in good view of the hatching of the new smeets.
As the process of the mechanical arms started extracting the smeet cells from the walls and cracking them open, another mechanical arm would puncture two holes in the smeet's back, then a final arm would place the PAK on the smeet's back before two metal bars activated the PAK by shocking it with Irken technology.
The camera zoomed in on the prototype PAK, which was next in line. It was PAK #56 in line.
The metal arms extracted the smeet cell from the row, cracking it open. The small male smeet fell to the floor, lifeless for now. The two holes were punctured in the smeet's back and placed the prototype on, the wires connecting into the new holes made on his back. The smeet was then shocked to life.
"Welcome to life Irken Child. Report for duty" said the robotic voice to the small smeet.
The smeet then did something different than the other smeets, who had all gone to stand in formation behind the two Tallests as they watched the process.
The smeet jumped up and hugged the robotic arm, smiling.
"I love you cold, unfeeling robot arm" said the tiny smeet.
The Tallests appeared confused by this behavior. Tallest Miyuki went over to the smeet and kneeled down, gently prying him off the robotic arm and held him up and studied his adorable face.

She seemed to smile a little before holding him against her chest, going back over to Tallest Spork. She set the little smeet down on the floor with the rest of them before standing up and turning back to watch the rest of the hatching process.
The screen went black again.
Purple just sat there, stunned.
He remembered seeing this memory from Zim's memory cell during the trial.
He spotted one last video that had been at the very bottom of the desktop, the lower right corner.
It was very easy to miss.
He clicked on the video and watched as it popped up, filling the screen.
The scene was taken inside one of the Science Lab on Planet Vort.
Prisoner-777 must have secretly been recording, the camera was suddenly turned on, pointing straight at him so he was speaking to the camera.
"Tallest Miyuki's assistant here, and this is a video I will be uploading, the 22nd video with the Prototype Invader's progress. Minor set backs to the Prototype have caused multiple blackouts for several years over on Irk, but Tallest Miyuki still has hope for the Prototype. His name is Zim, and he appears to be overzealous, showing signs of higher loyalty to the Irken Empire, even for an Irken's standards. He also appears to be brash, arrogant, acutely narcissistic, megalomaniacal, and overconfident. The Prototype, named Zim, is currently here on the planet Vort as a transfer from Irk, for he had destroyed almost everything he touched. Despite this, Tallest Miyuki still has hope for the success of the Prototype. She is on her way here, and will be pretending not to know who the Prototype is, for it would be suspicious if someone were to find out about her research and creation" Explained Prisoner-777.
He gasped and turned the camera around, pointing it at the blue clad Tallest who had just arrived.
The Scientist Irkens and Vortians were all lined up for the arrival of Tallest Miyuki.
The Head Scientist stepped forward and greeted the Tallest.
"Tallest Miyuki, welcome to Vort Research Station 9. You honor us with your visit" greeted the Head Scientist.
Miyuki smiled and nodded a greeting before getting down to business.
"Tell me what my finest minds are dreaming up for the Irken Empire" she said. She snuck a really quick glance at Prototype Zim, secretly hoping he had thought up a good idea that would help the Empire grow.
"Well, there's our infinite energy producing energy thingy. And Lard Nar here has begun work on the preliminary designs for your new Bludgeon Class fleet leader" explained the Head Scientist. He gestured to the Vortian, who in return saluted before proudly showing the Tallest a holographic model of the Massive.
It looked exactly like the Massive that Purple and Red had. It actually looked different than the one they were in right now! Oh right....this was the OLD Massive ship. Red and Purple had to switch ships, considering the one they had was completely destroyed, thanks to the Florpus Hole incident. It would have taken AGES for it to get repaired, so they decided to take the old Massive. It had been put in the Irken Hanger for safe storage, and hadn't been flown since Tallest Spork was killed. That explains why the Massive looked different than the other Massive. It was smaller and had a bulkier design than the new version.
Purple shook his head and focused back on the recording.
The Prototype butted in, clearly displeased by the giant ships design.
"DOOKIE!!! That thing will never fly!" he shouted angrily, pointing at the hologram.
Tallest Miyuki pretended not to know him.
"Operator, who is this little creature?" she asked curiously, tilting her head to the side.
"Eh....Zim, my Tallest. A transfer from Irk, He destroys everything he touches, so they figured he'd excel at military research" explained the Head Scientist, ashamed.
"Enough praise! LOOK! I made an infinite energy ABSORBING thingy! HE'S CHUBBY!" exclaimed Zim, smiling proudly.
Tallest Miyuki seemed hopeful for the creation, considering her Prototype had made it.
The small creature wandered over to the main power generator.
"NO! Keep it away from the infinite energy producing thingy!" shouted the Head Scientist, panicked.
It was too late though.
The small creature swallowed the infinite energy generating device. It started growing out of control, the collar around its neck snapped. The thing went on a rampage as all the scientists panicked and tried to run away.
The camera was knocked out of Prisoner-777's hands, falling on its side, the glass lense getting cracked.
He managed to pick it up quickly, and was able to capture the creature picking up Tallest Miyuki before eating her alive, her screams getting cut off as the creature closed its mouth and swallowed her.
The recording got cut off before showing Prisoner-777 in Tallest Miyuki's lab, sitting on her old chair and looking at the camera, sadly.
He sighed.
"I am sad to say, Tallest Miyuki has been killed. Eaten by that giant creature thing that her Prototype Invader, Zim, had created. Tallest Spork will be leading the Irken Empire on his own. I will be shutting the generator off for this room, locking both entrances. I wish not to return to this ship, for I have no reason to live in it anymore. The production of the new Massive has started, and am happy to say that my brother had survived the creature's rampage. I will be leaving these recording saved to Tallest Miyuki's computer system though, in case someone were to find her secret lab. If you are watching this, and Prototype Zim is still alive, heed this warning. Tallest Miyuki had installed a small button, an Alpha Switch. Once the button has been pushed, Prototype Zim will reset completely and will fulfill his main purpose as an Era II Irken Invader. The reason I heed this warning is because this feature was never tested, and only served as a backup system in case the Prototype doesn't become an Invader. Once this feature is on, the Prototype will be unstoppable. The new Era of Irken Invaders shall never be created unless Prototype Zim completes his first mission. I must be leaving now, for I need to keep a close eye on the Prototype. This is Tallest Miyuki's assistant, signing off for the last time" said Prisoner-777.
The recording went black.
Purple had no idea what to think.
He then gasped and got up, removing the disc drive from the computer and rushed down the hallway and back to the prison cell.
He started banging on the metal door, hoping someone would hear him.
He had to get out.
If Tallest Red finds that button in Zim's PAK and activates it, who knows what will happen.
Zim wasn't a defect like everyone thought.
He was a prototype created by Tallest Miyuki for a new era of Irken Invaders.
This was why he was the way he was! He nearly killed everyone on Irk after ruining Operation Impending Doom I because his Era II Irken Invader programming must have kicked in too early, causing him to go completely insane and destroying almost all of Irk.
Purple banged on the door harder.
He had to go tell everyone the truth.

Does Hell Have an Adventurers' Guild?
I have decided to try out a different style. I cannot say much at this point, the story is mostly fantasy/romance and will evolve as I go, but it will involve an "adventurers' guild" in a demonic setting. MC will be a reincarnator becoming a denizen of hell, I will add vital description as I go. Gore will be used with reason, some bad words here and there and severe explicit or traumatizing content will be announced in advance, but it will not be the focus of the work.

My Sweet Bodyguard Randomness
This is where I write extras from "MSB: Mission-Hope for the Best" and where I can interact more since you can request stuff like: Scenarios, dares/questions, and a segment I like to call 'Party Police' where the bodyguards can sing any song. I will also write for myself at times on here so you can enjoy that too. ^_^
