'Wh... What did you say???' Kartika looks surprised as well as the others including Alfi.
'We are sorry.' Varz said feeling sorry for it.
Kartika suddenly jabs Varz's face that he is tumbled. Everyone is surprised at seeing that.
'I don't need your apologies, you hypocrite!' Kartika yelled at him pissed.
Varz gets up in no time and stares at her with his wistful eye. The sages and the Swordsmen of The Star look surprised seeing Varz like that. Generally, Varz won't hold back to kill anyone who attacks him no matter it's a man or woman.
'Kartika! It's enough! Let me explain what really happened!' Alfi exclaimed.
'Say no more Alfi. It's obvious that he killed Franz, right?!' Kartika exclaimed.
'You are wrong. He-'
When Varz is about to say it, Kartika jabs his face again that he is tumbled again.
'You have no right to talk in front of me, you bastard!' Kartika yelled at him.
Varz slowly gets up.
'A-'
Kartika is about to jab him again. Varz is just doing nothing but closing his eyes. Varz just can't hurt Kartika, as he just loves her so much. When her jab is about to hit his face, suddenly Alfi holds her arm.
'It's enough.' Alfi said.
'Alfi... Why?' Kartika asked thunderstruck.
'That's not good for you. I do understand that you still can't forgive him for what we have done to us before, yet if you keep tormenting him like that, what makes you different than him then?' Alfi explained.
'But, he...' Finally-looked-soothed Kartika said.
Alfi lets her go, and Kartika just gives Varz a cynical gaze.
'Now, let me-'
'No, Alfi. Let me explain it.' Varz said. 'First of all, I'd like to apologize to all of you. I know that what I have done to you before is just unforgivable, but please give me one more chance! I assigned by the sages to help you anyway, right?' He added.
'How impudent you are, Varz.' Irz said approaching Varz.
'Irz.' Varz said.
'So, you mean that you are the only one suits to assist His Highness Alfa, eh?' Karz added approaching him as well.
'Karz.' Varz said.
Irz points his sword to Varz.
'Is it possible a monster like you protecting the world? You are nothing but a dragon of destruction who only knows about destroying things. Is being protected by destruction what everyone wants?' Irz intimidated Varz.
'Watch your shitty mouth, Irz.' Varz threatened Irz.
'There, there, there.' Suddenly, Karz is in front of Varz stroking his chin. 'You look so cute while angry, but is that how the one who wants to protect the world speak?' She added.
Varz shoves her.
'Don't touch me, you slut.' Varz said.
'What did you say?!' Karz exclaimed upset
'Guess we have to give him a lesson or two.' Irz said.
'Bring it on. Riboless Doki-doki users like you don't stand a chance to defeat me.' Varz said summoning a wind sword on his right hand.
'How arrogant of a brat like you. You are not able to master your Ribo as well. Hearing it from such guy is really annoying! I'll make you sorry for such arrogance!' Karz exclaimed.
'Let me help you guys!' Kartika joins their side with Cakra who is ready to attack.
'Kartika...' Varz said.
'Don't be so casual to me!' Kartika exclaimed.
'Kartika, please stop it, or else, I will stop you.' Alfi said with Shikulo on both of his hands.

'Never. I won't stop before defeating that ruffian.' Kartika said.
'Cakra, please stop her.' Alfi pleaded.
'I am sorry. I can't control myself.' Cakra said anxiously.
'Alfi, if you keep defending him, I don't care what would happen to you!' Kartika threatened him.
'I am sorry, Kartika. I won't hold back either. He is my friend.' Alfi said.
'Hey Koji, can you just stop them already?' Herman asked.
'No, I can't. When Alfi is serious like that, no one can stop him, and I have no idea what really happened to Franz anyway.' Koji said.
They five dashes with their weapons in their hands to attack. when the clash is about to happen, Suddenly Varz, Alfi, and Kartika are snared by something like iron bars which come from a sword that is wielded by a guy in brown parachute jacket and black boxer shorts.
'Guess I made it in time, eh?' He said.
'Larz, you are always late.' Harz said standing before the sleeping Irz and Karz.
'Aww, come on. At least, I made them stop killing each other, right?' Larz said.
'Larz, Harz, you two have to clean the house and temple by tomorrow!' Nyoman exclaimed.
'Right.' Harz said yawning.
'Eh... Why?' Larz sighed.
'Isn't it obvious?!' Nyoman said upset.
'No idea.' Larz said.
'You are late again, dumbass!!' Nyoman said upset.
Made pats Nyoman's shoulder and says, 'There, there, Larz, please let go of His Highness Alfi and Lady Kartika.'
'Understood.' Larz said making the iron snaring Alfi and Kartika pulled back to the grip.
'Wait, what about me?' Varz asked.
'I'd like you to explain it to us, but I guess Larz shouldn't let you, just in case. Come in.' Made said entering the door to the living room followed by the others.
'OK.' Larz said walking while dragging the dropped-snared Varz.
'Hey, at least, let me walk, you asshole!' Varz exclaimed upset.
Alfi just laughs at him and says, 'Aww, come on, just brace yourself to explain it to them. Don't worry, I'll keep you company while laughing at you.'
'Cut the crap!' Varz exclaimed.
Kartika sees Alfi and Varz who are enjoying insulting each other. She is wondering what has happened to both of them, but she just can't ask them, as she still hates Varz.
In the living room, the snared Varz and unsnared Alfi are sitting in front of the sages and being witnessed by the others.
'All right, Your Highness, can you explain to us what really happened there?' Nyoman asked.
'We fought three men consecutively and Franz died on the first match.' Alfi said.
'Impossible, no one dies there. If it were to happen, he should have respawned right away.' Nyoman said.
'Arz did say the same.' Varz added.
The Swordsmen of The Star look surprised hearing Arz's name. The situation is getting noisy.
'Silence! Arz is there as the guardian of that dimension.' Nyoman explained. 'Then, did he say something other than that?' He asked.
'He said that there is a possibility that Franz has returned here, but I don't feel his Iru around here.' Varz said.
'He must be lying! He has killed Franz before reaching here.' Irz interfered.
'Yeah! He must have used his wind manipulation to cut Franz's body into pieces and hidden it somewhere.' Karz added.
'What makes you so sure about that?!' Varz asked.
'None, we just want you to get outta here already.' Irz and Karz said.

'Hey Larz, let me go, you shit eater! I am gonna fucking kick their asses!' Varz exclaimed upset.
'Alright, but after this one, kay?' Larz said having a basket of fruits.
'You fucking monkey! Bitch! Useless pig!' Varz exclaimed upset.
'Thank you. I am so blushed.' Irz, Karz, and Larz said blushing.
'I am not fucking praising you, dumb ass!!!!!' Varz exclaimed upset.
'ENOUGH!' Wayan exclaimed. 'We haven't known what really happened to Franz yet, and all of you have no right to judge Varz!' He added firmly.
Everything remains silent.
'But, Franz hasn't come back yet.' Barz said. 'I don't blame Varz for Franz's missing, but I do agree with the sages that no one dies in that dimension.' He added.
'And if what Karz said that Varz has sliced Franz into pieces and hidden them is true, I should have smelled the body in no time.' Darz added.
'Your nose must be not functioning at all.' Irz interfered.
'What do you mean?' Darz asked.
'A smelling rabbit? Have you lost your mind? Are you a rabbit or a dog?' Irz provoked her.
'Whatever you said.' Darz ignored him.
'Oh, what a meanie ignoring me like that. No wonder no one wants to be your friend.'Karz provoked Darz.
'Why you!!' Darz exclaimed trying to kick Karz.
But, Darz's assault is stopped by Jarz's red fur which has been expanded and hardened like a solid shield.
'That's enough.' Jarz said.
'Don't interfere!' Darz exclaimed leaping to send a deathly kick for them three.
Jarz, Karz, and Irz have put their stances to counter Darz.
'Jantung! (heart)' Darz exclaimed launching herself with her sharp heels aiming their vital points.
Irz raises his swords with both of his hand and exclaims, 'Pisang! (banana)'
Irs swings it and emits a yellow crescent beam towards Darz.
'Taring! (fang)' Karz exclaimed jumping towards Darz to bite her.
'Unlimited Blade Works!!!' Jarz exclaimed flapping his fur to launch the swords to her(I am sorry, actually I want to change the name for copyright reason, but I'd rather do this to annoy my friend by putting this one. Oh yeah, I don't own such technique, I just do this to annoy my friend.)
Suddenly those ultimate blows wear off and they four are sending fly and they are dropped hard.
'Anyone else?' Ketut asked firmly.
They four then have a seat without saying anything. Kartika and the others are getting convinced that they can't say anything recklessly this time.
'Varz, we didn't send Franz back, and you said that he is dead there. Am I right?' Made asked.
Varz just nods.
'Did you see his body?' Made asked.
Varz just shakes his head.
'Can you guarantee what you just said?' Wayan asked with his hand which emits black Iru.
Varz looks scared.
'Wha.. What is that?' Alfi asked shocked.
'Wayan. He is able to wipe one's Doki-doki. Varz deserves it.' Irz said.
'A monster like him has no right to wield a holy power like Doki-doki.' Karz added.
'Can you take the responsibility for everything you just said, Varz?' Wayan asked almost touching Varz's face.
Varz can't do anything as he is overwhelmed by the fear.
'Let me do it!' Doraduo comes out from Varz's sword.
Everyone is surprised.
'Varz isn't it....' Wayan said in amazement.
'Exactly, I am Doraduo, the dragon who is responsible for what happened to this village 20 years ago.' Doraduo explained.
'So, he has domesticated Doraduo eh? Sir, he must intend to destroy this village, no, even Bali island! We can't let him stay alive!' Irz triggered.
'Silence, you retarded monkey!' Doraduo exclaimed.
'What did you say?!'Irz exclaimed unsheathing his sword.
'Enough!' Made exclaimed extending his arm and showing his palm to Irz resulting Irz getting shoved hitting the wall by a great force.
'Are you here to destroy our village again?' Wayan asked firmly.
'Have you asked yourself why I destroyed your village?' Doraduo asked.
'It's because you are a dragon of destruction!' Irz interfered.
'Human is the smartest creature in this world, yet they are too dumb to use such blessing. We, the dragons, are the creature created to protect something, not destroy it.' Doraduo explained.
'Then, what made you destroy our village?' Made asked.
'Waku-waku.' Doraduo replied briefly.
'But, why are you staying in the sword that you always posses Varz?' Garz asked.
'Yeah, just like what you did to us on Kuta beach.' Kartika added.
'It's because I want to make him strong enough to protect this world. It's obvious, right? I am a dragon whose fate is to protect, not destroy.' Doraduo explained.
Everything goes silent. They understand that Doraduo has no intention to destroy the world, and he wants to protect what he has destroyed and this world instead, yet they still doubt about Varz.
'About Varz, I have known him since he was born, and I don't hate him at all. He is not as wicked as you think. He is just insolent.' Doraduo said.
'Hey!' Varz exclaimed upset.
'Varz will assist His Highness Alfa to protect this world. He won't betray him. I vouch for that.' Doraduo said returning to Varz's sword.
'Doraduo...' Varz said.
'I agree.' Alfi stands up.
'Your Highness....' The sages exclaimed surprised.
'What? Aw, Come on!' Irz irritated.
'How could this happen?! His Highness Alfa defending Varz?!' Karz exclaimed.
'Alfi, what are you doing??!' Kartika asked in panic.
'You hear me, right? He is determined to save this world. So far you have bullied him for something he has never done and Doraduo hates. I, the Alfa, will take him with me to save this world.' Alfi said firmly.
All of them look surprised to what Alfi just said.
'Alfi...' Varz said affected.
'Anyway, if he by any chance betrays us, I just need to kill him, right? He is not as strong as he looks anyway.' Kata Alfi.
'You son of a bitch!!!!' Varz exclaimed upset.
Kartika, Irz, and Karz are holding their laugh.
'Your Highness, are you sure with your decision?' Wayan asked.
'Yes, I am.' Alfi said. 'And for you guys, please lend me your strength. He is part of you too, right? Please don't bully him anymore and fight with him. We are here to protect the world, right?' He added turning to the Swordsman of The Star.
'Of course. Your Highness. Our apology.' They said kneel on Alfi.
'Now, take a rest. You must be tired, right? Dismissed.' Alfi said.
All of them then leave the living room leaving Alfi, Varz, Kartika, and Herman.
'Alfi... I couldn't believe that you could do such a thing!' Herman said in amazement.
'Herman, Do you mind if Varz joins with us?' Alfi asked.
'Of course not. If you agree, so do I.' Herman said extending his arm to Varz. 'My name is Herman.' He added introducing himself to Varz.
'Varz. Please forgive me for what I have done to you before.' Varz said feeling sorry.
'Don't worry. It's cool.' Herman said.
'Kartika, I-'
'Shut up!' Kartika said firmly.
'I may let you join with us, but I will never forgive you if you betray us!' Kartika threatened him leaving three of them behind.
'It's harder than I thought.' Varz sighed.
'There, there. She will forgive you someday.' Alfi persuaded him.
'Yeah, that flat chest will forgive you someday. Remember, Doki-doki users are weirdos and they tend to be stupid.' Herman added.
'So, she is stupid, eh?' Varz asked.
'Yeah, her body isn't hot at all. Not to mention she is short-tempered and her cooking is able to make any living creature meet their death once they have a single taste of it.' Alfi said.
'But, didn't she cook for the last dinner?' Varz asked.
'I used the magic curtain to turn the taste into edible one. I don't want you guys to be killed.'Alfi explained.
'I see, so she's that terrible.' Varz said.
Suddenly they three feel a chill as if their souls are threatened. Kartika is right behind them with Cakra ready to kick their asses.
'Oh, so that's how you think about me, eh?' Kartika said in a dreadful tone.
'Aaa... Kartika, did you hear everything???' Alfi asked in panic.
'Everything, and oh, I even recorded it.' Kartika answered.
'We.. We are just joking.' Herman said in panic.
'Really?? So I am not as stupid as you said before?' Kartika asked.
'Nope, they mean it.' Varz said calmly.
'You Idiot!!!!' Alfi and Herman exclaimed upset.
'Oh, then I have a special gift for your honesty!' Kartika said cracking her hands
Alfi and Herman look scared, while Varz looks okay, and later, they three are collapsed with bumps on their heads.
'Good night.' Kartika said leaving them.
'Why... She... Beat me?' Varz asked in pain.
'Serve you right.' Alfi said falling asleep.
'It hurts.' Herman said falling asleep.
Varz then gets up and walks to the garden. Reaching the garden, he takes a seat on the veranda and channels his Iru to his sword. Then, he suddenly finds himself on the twilight grass plain and Arz is standing before him.
'Oh, Varz. How is it?' Arz asked.
'It's harder than I thought.' Varz said upset.
'Varz, human tends to remember one's mistake than his kindness. You can nail 100 times on the wall to hang priceless photos in your life, but when you pluck one nail out, the hole it made will remain there for good.' Arz said.
'I don't get it.' Varz said.
'Just imagine that you always give kindness to this girl-'
'Kartika.'
'Yes, Kartika. She will be happy if you give her kindness, but when you let her down, she probably won't forgive you.' Arz said. 'It's because, humans are always ready for the upcoming kindness, yet they are not ready for the upcoming sadness. Life is not just about kindness, you have to feel sad to learn the real meaning of the "life" itself.' He added.
'Then, what do I do?' Varz asked. 'I want her to forgive me. It's okay if I can't make her love me, but I want her to forgive me, and become my friend.' He added.
'Hey, are you okay?' Someone appears before Varz.
'Oh, looks like you got a visitor there. Open your eye.' Arz said.
Varz opens his eyes and he sees Cakra standing before him.
'You are...' Varz said.
'Chill, I just want to talk with you.' Cakra said.
'Talk with me?' Varz said.
'Hmm, Cakra the Guardian of North Gate.' Doraduo said coming out from Varz's sword.
'Doraduo sang the storm. You are acknowledged by the god as the fastest and strongest dragon ever.' Cakra said.
'You are also well known as the strongest one of the four world guardians.' Doraduo said.
'I am exhausted, I don't want to fight you.' Varz said.
'Aw, come on Varz, It's a good chance to test your new power!' Doraduo pleaded.
'Hell no!' Varz refused upset.
'Hey, Dora! Stop taking over this body already!!!' Doraduo exclaimed.
'But, I want to fight him.' Doraduo said.
'Even so, as you are 2 in 1 dragon, your other self makes you well known as the silliest dragon ever.' Cakra said.
'SHUT THE HELL UP!!!' Doraduo exclaimed.
'Then, what do you want to talk about, Cakra?' Varz said.
Cakra then takes a seat beside Varz. Varz asks Doraduo to get back to his sword as he doesn't want to wake anyone up.
'Do you really want to join with us?' Cakra asked.
'Yes.' Varz replied.
'Why? You looked like you wanted to kill us before. Speaking of a good impression.' Cakra asked.
'I am sorry for that. I was just upset back there.' Varz said.
'Oh, what made you upset that you wanted to kill us?' Cakra asked.
'Precisely, I wanted to kill Alfi. I just couldn't believe that he is the Alfa. How can someone like him have a fate to be the Alfa? I mean, come on, a pathetic weeaboo like him?! I don't think so! That's what made me so upset.' Varz said.
'I guess I know how you feel.' Cakra said. 'At first, I thought that the Alfa was a wise and strong figure, but just like you feel, I hated him in the first place, yet, after knowing his determination and personality, I am sure that he is the Alfa that we have been looking for. You do feel the same, don't you?' He added.
Varz chuckles and says, 'I think so. When we were there, that moron asked me to be his friend. I was doubting him as I thought it was just a mere bullshit, yet he really acknowledges me as a friend. I was so happy seeing someone like him. He wants to be my friend even though I almost killed him. What a shame. How can I be so stupid?'
'He is a weirdo, right? But, he has a lot of amazing stuff in him, right?' Cakra said.
'Yeah, I think so.' Varz said laughing. 'Hey, Cakra...'
'What?' Cakra asked.
'Does Kartika love Alfi?' He asked down.
'Don't tell me... You...' Cakra said surprised.
Varz just nods awkwardly.
'I see. So, you want to be the Alfa right? And that's why you attack Alfi, right.?' Cakra pried Varz's secret loudly.
'Mind your voice, moron!!!' Varz said ashamed.
Cakra laughs at Varz's reaction.
'But, it's okay if I can't be the Alfa, but at least, I want her to stop hating me.' Varz said.
'I don't mind.' Suddenly Kartika appears beside Varz.
'Ka.., Kartika?! Varz exclaimed in panic. 'Di... Did you hear everything?!' Varz asked with his face which has turned red.
'I just got here, I didn't hear anything you have talked about.' Kartika said.
'What a relief.' Varz said in relief.
'What did you guys talk about anyway?' Kartika asked.
'No... Nothing. Hahahahaha.' Varz said awkwardly.
Cakra just smiles at her, and she takes a seat beside Varz.
'Varz, Alfi has told me everything about you.' Kartika said.
'Really? What did he say?' Varz asked.
'He said that you have told him about how heavy the mission he has. That makes him more determined to save this world. Thanks for that, and... I am sorry.' Kartika said.
'Kartika...' Varz said.
'I heard that you want me to stop hating you, right?' Kartika asked. 'I don't hate you. If Alfi trusts you, I don't need to hate you, right?' She added smiling at him.
'Kartika.' Varz said smiling at her.
Kartika then stands up and Cakra jumps back to her pendant.
'It's late already. Get some sleep. Good night, Varz.' Kartika said.
'Right, good night, Kartika.' Varz said.
'And the hole is finally covered. Congrats, Varz.' Arz said.
Varz just smiles and starts his training.
A guy in polka dot cloak is watching Varz from the back of the tree which is not too far from Varz.
'Humph, why they could forgive him that easy anyway?!' He said.
'Shall we kill him?' A voice comes around him.
'No need, as the main attraction will start tomorrow. Just you wait Varz, I'll make you suffer more! I won't let you happy nor smile in this world!' He said.

Chronicles of Xod (returning from hiatus)
After a long recovery over a chronic motion sickness issue, I feel I'm ready to return to writing this book. It might be slow at first, but I'm hoping to pick up where I left off. I apologize again for the long hiatus. The pages following are a true account. An account of how I, Josh--a teenage nerd from modern suburbia--ended up in a strange world filled with fantastic magic, bizarre creatures, and terrifying dungeons. Despite the troped-up fantasy feel of the world, this is hardly an ordinary tale. For one, don’t expect a happy ending. With the trials I’ve been through, the horrors I’ve seen and the atrocities I’ve committed, believe me when I tell you, this is not a happy tale filled with friendly rainbow bears or teenage flying unicorns. It’s more likely you’ll finish this book mentally scarred as I will not spare the details of my unfortunate adventures. With the help of my trusted companion Gui, I gain an insight that no one else in the world has. This knowledge allows me to exploit and, for lack of a better term, metagame the system which gave me a clear advantage over its residents. “With great power...,” someone might begin to quote to me. In my defense, I think maybe even you, reader, might have acted similarly with how this reality changed my view of good and evil. This story will be updated regularly on Wednesdays around 6 PM. There will only be about 1000 words per update. The focus is to finish the story before doing any major changes or editing. Please read as if this is a work in progress, not a finished product. Feel free to let me know if you see any error, whether glaring or minor. If you help me out, I'll be sure to add you to a thank you list at the front of the book when it is published. Chronicles of Xod is a first-person fantasy novel that follows the adventures of a young man from Earth. Through unknown circumstances, he finds himself in a fantasy world where life is not all wonders and happy endings. The story takes common fantasy concepts from my favorite video games, books and movies and gives them an adult edge. It also introduces some taboo concepts often glossed over by stories written for broad audiences. The style is meant to be immersive and heavily detailed. The short novel will be written in a way that attempts to bring a sense of realism to an unrealistic genre. Where there are realistic consequences and dangers in a world populated with violent monsters, cruel demons, bloodthirsty undead, and immoral bandits. In this fantasy world, the inhabitants are essentially gender blind as far as sexuality is concerned. There is also more variation amongst male and female physiology. This isn't meant to be any kind of promotion or demotion of social behavior in reality. Just a concept I thought would be an interesting idea to have in a fantasy setting. I highly discourage anyone from reading this material if you are personally concerned with being offended or traumatized. Both violent and sexual content will be graphically detailed. All characters involved in sexual scenes are mature and of the age of consent(18+).
