《A Moth's Stories》A Christmas Wish

The snow fell through the normally warm forest layering the world in a white. The cold snow freezing the summer world that normally flourished at the end of the year. Climbing through the winter wonderland under the clear black and star speckled sky, the orange and white fir of a mother fox. The small fox had gotten lost as the world was buried in the cool white crystals that had appeared suddenly and created a new world the small fox was unfamiliar with.
She searched for her den but the scent she usually followed was blocked out and the tracks and markers normally left to mark her way were no longer visible. She didn’t know what this stuff was or where it come from. She didn’t know if this new thing would stay or leave. She only knew that her litter was alone and she needed to return home to protect them. But she was lost. She continued to search for hours but couldn’t find her den which now was buried beneath the frigid snow. But she continued to search trying to find her home but alas, even as the night turned to day and slowly shifted to night once more shifted to night, alone she laid on top of the snow. She knew she was to late. She knew she hadn’t arrived in time to save her young. So she laid in the snow alone. But she didn’t stay long.
The sounds of crunching snow were heard causing the mother fox to get up and hide. She moved some distance away before she looked back from some cover and watched on as a group of the two legged creatures that hold things wandered through the snow. One of the smaller ones looked at her and she fled into the snow-covered woods. She heard the sounds of footsteps behind her as she ran before she took one another hard pressed step and the sounds of clamping metal sound out as she stood in a trap that belonged to the two legged ones. She was stuck in place as her paw was injured and she couldn’t flee as the small two-legged creature reached her. She stood her ground and tried growled at the creature who moved slowly toward her.

The two legged creature moved its hand toward the mother fox and she bit the hand but the creature ignored it as she grabbed the fox. The small fox tried to get away but was unable to. The fox felt the thing around her leg let go as it clattered to the ground and she felt her fur being petted as she was carried away. The two legged creature carried the mother fox back the other of its kind and showed the fox to them. And while the fox did not understand the creatures around her, she heard them talking.
“Our wish for a white Christmas has affected a lot more than we thought.” Came from a taller creature in a different tone to what the others sounded like.
The mother fox had something wrapped around her sore leg to which the fox noticed that it no longer bled but it still hurt. She couldn’t escape these creatures but she was given food and water for reasons unknown to her but she cautiously accepted these due to her being hungry and thirsty. And while she couldn’t flee, she wasn’t harmed so she cautiously stayed quiet and watched the first small human who held her tightly. The mother fox didn’t know what was happening but just stayed still as she was cared for by the stranger creatures.
As it was anyway, the mother fox would otherwise be alone.
Hello, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! (or whatever else you do) and thanks for reading. I know this story is short but im glad people took the time to read it.
And of course this wouldn’t be possible if not for the artist Wolfza, or as I know them Moth. (which btw is a way better name imo). So I hope you enjoy these little stories which are all set in one universe. I wonder how much of these stories can you piece together in the end?
But have a wonderful holiday!

Fragments of Glass
before the 1939-1945 War, most churches in England had stained glass windows, but despite local people's best efforts many of these windows were smashed in the bombing. What could be repaired was repaired, but in many churches all they could do was reassemble the remaining fragments randomly, with extra bits of clear glass added to eke them out to fill the windows. That is what I imagined for my collection of short stories: fragments of stained glass, bits of robe, bits of faces, all sorts of odds and ends randomly stuck together. And with quite a lot of clear fragments among the coloured ones. Just broken pieces of stories that anyone can look through.

Chasing Darkness
Lilith's first time parachuting at night was a disaster. Fictional Gods clashed before her eyes. Caught in the crossfire, Lilith traveled through Space and Time. Her reality was turned into her favorite childhood game, Pokemon. The beginning of journey shrouded in the Dark. A Pursuit of something Greater. *** Author Notes: As a writer, I enjoy the 'How' and 'Why' thing happen in a story over 'What' happens. This will not, however, diminish plot points in the story. Each Arc will be well thought out. This Fanfic explores what it would be like in a reality where Pokemon exist. Most other Fanfics are based on game or anime logic. I will be taking the point of view of a Progression Fantasy. I will try to update every Weekday at Noon Central. P.S. I do this for fun. As I am an amateur writer, I expect complaints and criticism. Anything other than constructive will be ignored. Well thought out Reviews, please. *I Do NOT own Pokemon in any way, shape or form. *I created the Cover in all its pixilated glory.
