《Modded Reality》Chapter 14 - Oh the Biomes You'll Go

Wilton heads out early in the morning. He collects a few apples he sees in the trees near his burrow. He bites into one and puts three more in his inventory. He heads north to the plains. As he goes over a few hills he spots animals in the distance. Horses and sheep.
He sneaks up on a sheep and throws a spear at it. It slams into the sheep puncturing its side. The other sheep flee instantly as Wilton pops another spear into his hand. He tosses it and kills the wounded sheep.
He stalks over, taking his bone knife out. He cuts the wool from the sheep, guts the sheep, and takes a few lamb chops. It all goes to his inventory as he stands up and looks around for the horses.
Wilton climbs to the top of a nearby hill before he spots the horses again. He pops the boar leather out of his inventory and quickly cuts a lead out of the leather. The halfling approaches the horses calmly. They are a little skittish but don’t run. He pops an apple out of his inventory and holds it up to a horse.
The horse eats the apple as Wilton slips the lead onto it. He pops another apple out of his inventory and slowly coaxes the horse back to his burrow. He ties the horse off to a big rock and considers what he could do.
The halfling spends the rest of the day chopping down trees, cutting up planks of wood, and carving in perfect fittings for each plank to slot into each other, as he makes a fence. He lays the fence out around his burrow, his kiln, his crops, and includes quite a bit of the tall grass around his home.
Maybe this horse will be happy with him. Grow fat with him and live out a good life. He’ll need to bring back more horses to keep it company. Wilton will take the lead off his horse before he goes back and retrieves one more horse from the plains.
Though the sun is setting fast now. He gets the horse inside his fenced-in area. He feeds it the last apple. And he retires for the night into his burrow.
