“Tell me why?” Heath questioned.
“Ever since l was little, all I have ever wanted growing up was to help my dad in the very lab you got a job in the first day you came and honestly it was extremely frustrating. He barely lets me do anything, even Max is allowed to do more than me compared to when I was at his age” May snapped back.
“I have been treating you wrong and I get that but sometimes when I see how my dad treats you and I feel like he wanted you instead of me. He probably wanted Max more than me, so what do I do? A son is wanted from the man not me… I come out here and I risk my neck out with Torchic who isn’t even my pokémon and do missions to save up money to leave and be independent so I don’t have to deal with it all. But I can’t help but be jealous” May shouted and then tucked herself into a ball and whimpering was heard from her as she continued to cry.
‘That worked better than expected. Though, I didn’t think it would come out like this.’ Heath said as he was unsure of what to do. He brain told him to just leave her alone but his instincts told him to comfort her.
‘I should do the right thing. I know how she feels’ Heath remembered his previous life and the fact that all he wanted to do growing up was to please his parents but with that goal came a price no kid shouldn’t have to pay for. A territory that a kid shouldn’t venture into. His parents gave him tutors and classes in a school that parents only dreamed of their kid attending. The education was grueling but he managed to stay above the other kids and soon became number 1 in his year. The thing was that his parents didn’t care. They always wanted to better of him and every little mistake that he did was frowned upon and his older siblings soon became the visibly favorites of the lineup of children. Yeah, he was rich but Heath never really cared about money. All he yearned for was their acceptance which was the only thing he never managed to have.
He soon came back to reality and sat down next to May which led Torchic to being suspicious. Heath ignored the little chick and just let May continue to cry. He put his hand on her back to console her which led to her holding on to him.
“It’s okay” Heath whispered into the air and that seem to calm May down slightly enough for her to stop the waterfalls leaking out her skull.
“I think that Professor Birch doesn’t care about what gender you are. He’s just worried about you like any other parent would be. You know people aren’t perfect and you were the first kid he had. You were essentially the test run now that I think about it” Heath chuckled at the end which cause May to move away and look at him slightly annoyed but she continued to listen.
“Yeah, all you wanted to do was help but Birch probably wanted to protect you because he loves you so much. He didn’t know what he would do without you and probably still can’t.” Heath admitted. May wiped her tears on the back of her hands before asking.
“Then why does he treat me so differently then he treats Max”
Heath shrugged.
“Probably because Max is younger and he is more experienced and capable of letting go. If it holds any consolation, Professor Birch probably trusts you more than any of us” Heath offered with a smile which cause May to snort in a quiet laugh. Heath got up and held out his hand.

“You should probably tell him how you feel instead of holding it in. You shouldn’t run away from problems you can fix.” Heath advised. May looked at Heath for a couple of seconds before looking at his hand. She took it and got up, picking up Torchic along the way.
“Heath again I-”
Heath was listening but he then heard a couple of buzzes and Squawks coming for another area.
“Farfetch’d”
“Beedrill”
‘Farfetch’d? The conversation as much as I want to have it with her, I think Farfetch’d might be in trouble.’ Heath immediately took Piplup and once again taking off and towards where he heard two pokémon.
“Wait, Heath” May said.
“Follow me.” Heath yelled as he continued to yell.
“Fafetch”
“Be bedril”
Heath turned hearing the noises becoming clearer and soon he was inside another clearing. Though this time Heath saw a similar Galarian Fafetch’d but it was fighting two Beedrills, a Weedle, and a Kakuna by Itself. Heath immediately went into battle mode.
“Four? What’s my fucking luck today” Heath yelled as he used ‘Observe on them’?

‘This can get troublesome though the stronger one looks hurt. Maybe May can use that to her advantage’ Heath thought.
“Torchic, Flame Charge the Beedrill” May ordered from behind him. Torchic soon after had a blazing flame around it and shoot towards the weak Beedrill. Heath saw Farfetch’d closed it eyes while Beedrill Took this time to use Poison sting.
‘I guess not’
“Piplup use Water Gun on Beedrill!!” Heath ordered. Piplup still tired from the battle took a little longer to pull off the move but it still shot out. The Beedrill dodged the Bullet easily before getting angry at the newcomers. Meanwhile the Kakuna and Weedle tried to take out the bird who had its eyes closed.
‘Observe’
Farfetch’d
Age: 10
Gender: M
Rank: Silver
Potential: Silver
Moves: Peck, Focus Energy, Leer, Fury Cutter, Brick Break, Counter
Ability: Scrappy, Steadfast
‘I was right, it is Focus Energy’
“Piplup use growl on the Beedrill” Heath ordered.
Piplup chirped wildly at the Beedrill but it didn’t seem to dissuade Beedrill and it buzzed furiously as it approached. Its Pincers started glowing and soon it started slashing at Piplup. Piplup staggered back somehow the managing to escape Beedrill’s attack but Heath wasn’t sure for how long this would last.
‘I want to stall so that Piplup doesn’t have to do this alone but what to do? I could do the dust screen again but last time the Beedrill managed to hurt Piplup.’ Heath thought of ways to get Piplup out of this when all of a sudden Piplup seemed to increase in speed.
‘What? How?’ Heath thought of how this happened when he saw the bandana wrapped around Piplup’s neck.
‘That’s crazy’ Heath thought before quickly trying to capitalize on his partner’s newfound speed boost ability.
“Piplup use Water Gun again and then use pound on the floor. Get away before the dust clears.” Heath directed. Piplup quickly assimilated his trainer’s order before preforming them. The Beedrill angry became more vicious with its attacks, becoming wilder and more sporadic with its swipes. Piplup capitalizing this pivoted similar to how it dodged the attack leading the Beedrill to go right in front of it. Piplup then charged a Water Gun but with its energy becoming quickly exhausted it would take a couple of seconds. Beedrill just spun quickly around swiping with its still glowing lance arm until it got hit and flew off towards a tree.

“What?” Heath and Piplup both saw a leek and in front of it was a confident looking Farfetch’d looking like a protagonist.
“I’m ready and I took out the Weedle and Kakuna. We must end this.” Farfetch’d squawked. Piplup nodded and look at its trainer for an answer but seeing the smile on Heath’s face he quickly become focus on the fight that was about to resume. The Beedrill got up and charged up its energy towards the pincers but this time a brilliant but deadly purple hue was infused towards its limbs.
“Be careful guys, I think it’s about to use a hybrid move between Poison sting and Fury cutter.” Heath looked at the current battle and saw that even if the Beedrill was mad, it probably wasn’t as agile as before due to the amount of damage it sustained by Farfetch’d attack. Being still wary of the furious insect Heath ordered.
“Farfetch’d, channel your Brick Break into your leek and wait for my command. Piplup use the rest of your energy for a pound. Kite the Beedrill towards Farfetch’d while Farfetch’d when I say so. Unleash your power onto it. Capeesh, Piplup start” Heath yelled. Piplup focused all of its energy towards its fin and started running, it was the quickest Heath has seen Piplup run and he was confused on how it was possible for a bird that small to run so fast. Meanwhile Farfetch’d was trying to preform something he didn’t think would work. He never tried to use his leek for Brick Break since it was so easily done using his wing. Trying, he started to see his leek grow slightly as it became infused as a part of him, now being slightly confident in his savior he quickly went to preform what was needed.
‘I didn’t think that would work. I guess they have more room to play with than I initially assumed. Should I try and make…I should focus on the battle’ Heath snapped himself back to reality as Piplup started trying to push Beedrill towards the Farfetch’d, it started working until the Beedrill actually got hit the pound. It flew towards Farfetch’d look a pitcher throws a baseball but without being told Farfetch’d swung it’s leek like a professional batter and it completely trash the Beedrill’s body gut juice and organs flew everywhere but mostly at Farfetch’d. Heath was utterly disgusted and then heard barfing coming from behind him. He turned to see May puking next to the tree while Torchic looked hungry from the amount of substance the Beedrill let out. Heath felt his stomach turn but it immediately calmed down when he heard a ding and looked at his C-Gear.
[For fighting an enemy at least 5 levels higher than yours and winning you receive 1.5 experience boost for this battle]
[Piplup has gained a level]
[Piplup has gained a level]
[Piplup has gained a level]
[Piplup has gained a level]
[Piplup has learned three moves]
“Woah that’s a lot.” Heath murmured.
‘I expected for it to be a decent amount but getting a boost along with that. Insane. What’s Piplup’s level now, I forgot to check it last time cause of May’ Heath then pulled up Piplup’s status on his watch.
Piplup
Age: 7 (M)
Lv. 18 (Silver)
Exp: 135/777
Moves: Pound, Growl, Water Gun, Aqua Ring, Bubble Beam, Peck
Ability: Torrent, Speed Boost
Items: Defying Bravery
‘Aqua Ring? is that normally a move Piplup learns? Well if Pokémon in this world can have more than one ability and more than four moves, why can’t they learn moves out of there move set. Then, will they be able to learn moves previously under discovered?’ Heath was then again snapped out of his thought when he saw Farfetch’d in front of him waiting. Heath saw the brown bird had accumulated a lot of damage possibly from the fight and he saw that even though Piplup wasn’t hurt, it was beyond tired as it had to fight enemies above its level two separate times.
“What’s wrong Farfetch’d” Heath asked sincerely. He was planning to see if he would have to treat the pokémon.
“Nothing, I just wanted to say thank you. I apologize for saying you shouldn’t intervene in pokémon fights as if you didn’t, I would be dead. I was fighting one of the Beedrills until another one with its children came and started fighting me as well. You have also given me a new way to use one of my moves so I’m thankful.” Farfetch’d explained. It then bowed, putting the large leek back on its back and started to head off.
“Wait Farfetch’d” Heath called out, the Farfetch turned around and Heath continued.
“I know what I did was questionable but I don’t see myself changing because if I don’t take the advantage others will but putting our thoughts aside. I was wondering if you would want to join my team. It’s just Piplup and me. I want you to be a part of my team that will eventually be considered the strongest on this planet. I could make you our second member. What do you say?” Heath eye’s looked hopeful that the bird they had save would say yes because it felt bad? Heath would then show how good of trainer he was and how quickly it could grow its strength.
“And what else?” Farfetch’d squawked.
“Uhh besides strength? We will probably journey and meet other people. Battling strong pokémon along the way eventually becoming the Omega, Super Lord King, Emperor, Alpha Sigma Ligma Balls, Supreme” Heath said (A.N. Heath just said some like Pokémon Master).
Farfetch’d seemed to be thinking about it. So, Heath went to Piplup to take care of him while he awaited an answer.
“Piplup, how are you feeling” Heath crouched down and felt the soft down feather that Piplup had. Piplup was sitting due to exhaustion, letting his trainer do what he wanted with him. Heath decided to just put Piplup on top of his head for now. Heath also took out an Oran Berry and gave to the blue penguin who immediately snatched it and started chewing.
“Brat”
“Whatever”
Heath then meandered over towards May who as recovering from tossing up her lunch. May seeing Heath gave a weak smile.
“Are you okay? I didn’t think that would happen.” Heath joked.
“Me Barfing or Beedrill becoming mus-uh m-ugh…I don’t even want to say it” May whispered.
“So why did you run over this way, was it for that weird looking Farfetch’d?” May asked.
“Yeah, I wanted to see if I could convince him to become a part of my team. Even though it’s not strong it has a lot of potential, so I figured why not. That’s when I found you screaming your lungs off because of the Beedrills surrounding you” Heath chuckled. May immediately blushed with her face turning as red as a tomato. Heath immediately started chuckling which then turned into full blown laughter which infuriated May.
“Fuck youuuuu. I’m scared of Bug Pokémon. They are all gross and nasty. Especially Paras. Ewww” May shook her head like she had something on her. Heath calmed down and thought.
‘I guess May of this world still has some phobias of pokémon.’
“Anyways Heath. As I was saying before you left me, I’m sorry for treating you so bad and even if you don’t forgive me. I hope that one day we at least become decent friends” May choked up when she said the last part.
“So childish” Heath thought.
“What do you mean childish, I’m apologizing jerk”
“Oops, I didn’t mean to say that aloud. It’s Childish because even though you were a bitch to me. You didn’t inherently do anything bad.Though Piplup and I will exact our revenge for the match.” Heath emphasized the last part.
“We will need a rematch soon” Heath chuckled villainously at the last part which caused May’s face to slightly drain in color but before he could continue
“I accept”
Heath turned around and saw Farfetch’d with its leek outstretched towards him. He was confused but the Farfetch’d continued.
“I wanna go on this journey with you so I accept your proposal, shake my Leek” Farfetch’d sounded dead serious which cause Heath to laugh again.
“Why are you laughing human, shake my leek” Farfetch’d sounded a lot more serious, but this only cause Heath to double over. After a couple of minutes of wheezing and some water spit takes. Heath finally found the strength to shake Farfetch’s leek.
“Glad to have you,” Heath said as he took an unused pokéballs out. He pressed it on Farfetch’d before a red light engulfed the bird quickly. The pokéballs unlike last time, just seemed to be normal. Heath thought something went wrong so he pressed the pokéballs button and the red flash appeared. Letting out the Farfetch’d.
[Would user like to turn Farfetch’d]
‘Yes’
[Converting: ETA 5 minutes]
“What is happening?” Farfetch’d felt different. It was like taking a hot bath, but at the same time getting up in a frozen tundra without any clothes on, soothing but strangely alien. Heath didn’t think It would actually have an affect but by the looks of it his new pokémon didn’t seem to have any difficulties, so he just ignored it.
“I think it’s just your first time out of the pokéball. It’ll go away in a couple of minutes”
“oka-”
“So, I was wondering if I could give you a nickname. I know Piplup doesn’t have one but I feel like Farfetch’d doesn’t exactly fit you.” Heath added.
“I never had a name, so I guess.”
“Heath, you do know how calling out pokémon actually works right” May questioned. Heath thought about it but was unsure of his answer. Seeing Heath hesitate, May sighed.
“Pokémon really don’t know about the concept of naming and are focused with intention of words. They feel it within them and that’s what allows us to communicate but not exactly the words themselves. We won’t ever be able to fully communicate with 99% of Pokémon fluently unless you were developed away from humanity. Though that is only theory but essentially naming doesn’t affect anything but the trainer and the length of the word it has to go to give their full intention towards their partner. That’s why when two trainers throw out the same pokémon for a battle, The pokémon aren’t as confused as one might expect.” May explained. Heath immediately was reminded of pets back on earth and how dogs’ owners could yell at their dogs and say happy things but the dog would still be in a sad state.
“That makes sense now that I think about it ’Heath nodded at the connection. May smiled and went back to Torchic while Heath continued his conversation with his new team member.
“Farfetch’d, you new name will be Guts!” Heath proclaimed.
“What a terrible name” May shouted. Heath ignored her and nodded his head with his hand on his chain stroking his imaginary elder beard.
“It’s a good name” Heath spat back but all he heard was.
“Oh, brother”
Heath went on to fix Guts’ injuries and then put him in the pokéball since the bird’s body was feeling really weird. Heath and May then quickly made their way back from the forest where they would occasionally fight pokémon. Piplup would only grow a level and it would take them 3 hours to get to town.
“We’re here” May sighed with relief while Heath picked out Branches and smudges on his clothes.
“Why did we have to run back, you’re not that tall but for someone like me, especially going through the thick shrubbery? It’s painful” Heath complained.
“Your only what two inches shorter, suck it up buttercup” May chimed with a smile while she didn’t look perfect, she didn’t anything close to the amount that clung to her even though she was in front of Heath for most of the trip returning back.
They would continue to banter until they reached the pokémon lab.
“Where were you Missy?” Birch yelled which shocked both Heath and May. If they could’ve thought of anyone who would yell it would be May’s Mother.
“Dad.-” May tried to explain but it seemed like she was just getting angry again. Tears piled up in the corner of her eyes. Birch seemed to notice this and his expression softened.
“May has something that she needs to tell you. I think you guys should go to private space to talk. I will be upstairs if you guys decide to stay here. I will be sleeping.” Heath then turned to the stairs dash up them with his exhausted body telling him to stop. He didn’t listen but when heard. “Thank you” from May he knew that he made the right decision back in the forest. Had he ignored the cries he would’ve let someone potentially die when he had the power to try to help. Heath went down the hall to his apartment where he would spend the rest of the day at. He had first finished healing Piplup filling him with berries and pokémon food, to which Piplup would immediately hit the bed and fall asleep. He then took out Guts who had cuts all over still.

Gaslgiht
There is a common line of questioning that falls upon students within their first moments at Kingsly. “Why?”. The student asks, “Why am I here?”. This is a futile line of questioning. There are those who remember, and those who do not. I’ll spare you the technical explanation — that’s what we have teachers for. The jist is as follows: those who remember are... how do I put this... more likely. They occupy more time. and the space that time has allowed them — the pertinent amount — is experienced no matter what. Allow me to offer you a bit of personal information: I am not one who remembers. There is no time relevant to me, no space that I occupy. I exist by carving myself here, and continue to exist in the same fashion. You would do well to follow suit. Why am I here? Because I force myself to be. Because the universe, the universes, for all its kicking and screaming, cannot escort me out.

Will You Be Alone? After The End? Don't You Know We're All Still Here?
More than a century ago the world was devastated, but that doesn't matter. Nobody cares about the past, stories from that time are as wildly conflicting as they are ridiculous--when any stories exist at all. There are problems in the here and now that need to be dealt with, bringing the past into things isn't going to help anyone. The fact is that young people all over the world are developing mysterious powers, and the public reactions to these powers are far from positive. Fair enough, you might say. Who wants a young man around who can conjure heat from the palm of his hand? How deeply undesirable is a girl who can bend your emotions to her will? What use, I ask you, is a girl whose very essence crackles with lightning? No use at all, I'd say. As for this so-called Mr Fin and his grand ideals, well, all I can say is that his clothing is of better quality than his plans. Vague allusions to a 'sanctuary' and a 'mysterious and powerful statue' are all very well, but when it comes to solid results I fear you may find him somewhat lacking. Mark my words and mark them well, following one such as him will only lead to tears. All in all, I'd say there's not much you could reasonably expect from a world such as this. Conflict, perhaps. Hardship, certainly. Despair, heartache, loss... ...hope? No, don't be ridiculous. Where could one find hope, in this ruin of an existence? Honestly, I am asking. Where?Discord
