Heath cross reference the map, and he saw that he was closer towards the Beedrills.
‘Beedrill it is but if I see a Taillow, I’ll try to catch it.’ Heath decided. He finished eating the sandwiches which he felt were the best thing in the world. After cleaning up Piplup’s bowls and putting them back into his SSD they continued to walk around keeping their eyes peeled with all types of things until he felt a gust on his back.
‘What the?’ Heath turned around to see Taillow but what he didn’t expect to see was it trying to kill a Shroomish.
‘A Shroomish huh?’ Heath quickly took Piplup and hid between the trees, trying to see what to do.
‘Should I help and capture both? Or should I just leave and let nature do its thing?’ Heath continued to analyze the situation while the two pokémon fought.
The Taillow flapped its wings viciously as and soon they glowed. It then churned the wind around it into going in the direction of the wind. Shroomish desperately as it might to hold on got picked up in the treacherous winds and started circling around in what seemed like an endless cycle.
Taillow
Age: 10
Gender: F
Rank: Silver (Lv. 13)
Potential: Silver
Moves: Gust, Peck, Focus, Quick Attack, Growl,
Ability: Guts
Shroomish
Age: 5
Gender: F
Rank: Copper (Lv. 10)
Potential: Silver
Moves: Tackle, Absorb, Leech seed
Ability: Effect Spore, Poison Heal
‘The Taillow reached its natural potential already’ Heath thought. With the way things were going Taillow would definitely win but seeing Taillow’s movements, it appeared as though they have been fighting for a while since they both looked exhausted.
‘Let’s fight’ Piplup randomly chimed in. Heath held out a hand in front of the bird and then sighed.
‘We could probably wait till one win but what’s the fun in that’ Heath decided. As he points at the Taillow in the sky.
“Piplup knock it down with Water Gun” Heath ordered. Piplup ran its way towards the other two pokémon before jumping and shooting a powerful water bullet which sped its way towards the flying bird. Taillow, using all of its strength on the Shroomish could not dodge and got hit with Piplup’s move. Heath seeing the Taillow waited, until it passed Shroomish on its decent. Piplup quickly landed and moved out of the way opting to let the two exhausted pokémon fall on the hard ground.
‘Sheesh, that’s better than expected. I should wait to the dust clears. I not letting what happen with the Pidgey happen to me’ Heath thought as he waited for the plume of smoke to clear. He had made the mistake thinking that a Pidgey he was trying catch was defeated and either died or fell unconscious but when the dust cleared the Pidgey had just broken its wing. Heath looked over the situation and the dust soon dissipated. Heath saw the Taillow unconscious but somehow the Shroomish was still stirring with activity,
‘Do I not get Exp from Intercepting Battles?’ Heath was determining if he should attack or not, but that’s when he saw a pokémon right in front of him.

“Piplup…” Heath said with a hint of fear in its voice as there was an Galarian Farfetch’d.
Piplup turned around and saw a bird with a large leek hanging off it’s back in front of its trainer. Piplup quickly dashed but before it could, The Farfetch’d swung its leek in a circle before glaring at Piplup.
“Farfetch’d, Farfetch’d” The Farfetch’d squawked and Piplup replied with a
“So what?”
“What did it say?” heath asked. Piplup looked confused at its trainer, before answering.
“Farfetch’d says you should’ve left them to face their own battles.”
“Farfetch’d Far fetch’d”
“That’s all” The Farfetch’d then walked through the area like a vagabond does through war. Heath and Piplup both looked confused but before they could rebut the Farfetch’d was already gone. Heath decided to just go over to the other two Mons and Shroomish which he checked finally unconscious. After putting them in pokéballs and denying the systems attempt to make the pokémon his, Heath put them in the SSD and sat down. Piplup was not far from him so after making its way over.
‘What is a Galarian Farfetch’d doing in Hoenn? I guess it could happen but I would think it an exceedingly rare occurrence. So, what are the chances of us coming across it. Should I try to catch it? Unlike most of these pokémon, I feel like Galarian Farfetch’d would be a good addition to my team but would it even accept?’ Heath pondered for a couple of seconds, before seeing the possibilities of Sirfetch’d and he made up his mind.
‘I have to try to convince him’ He thought. He quickly got up and grabbed Piplup who was startled and started running where Farfetch’d walked off too. He ran ignoring the underbrush and bushes that continuously scratched him. Heath dodged trees and somehow, he lost where the Farfetch’d may have gone. He still kept running but then he started slowing as he realized that he was extremely deep in the forest. Heath didn’t want to go this deep as he knew this is where the Beedrill colony was.
‘I was trying to avoid the Beedrill line due to their revengeful nature, I would be dead if I even touched their Weedle at our current strength. Maybe I should forget about the Farfetch’d… To think I would want a Farfetch’d.’ Heath mused to himself before serious contemplating whether or not he should go in that territory. He quickly decided that it would be best to stay in the outskirts until he was strong enough to face multiple opponents or at least had enough time to set traps. Heath put Piplup down and started walking back before he heard a scream.
‘I must be hearing something’ Heath thought but hearing it again, he recognized who that person might be.
‘May?’
‘Should I check it out? No that can’t possibly be her but if it is and I didn’t help what would that make me.’ Heath thought, and one word immediately came to mind before he squashed it and started running towards the feminine scream.

‘Smart’
Heath walks through the deep forest until he hears May scream again and Heath takes off towards her.
‘I hope I’m not too late’ Heath thinks before stumbling across them.
“May!!!” Heath yell getting everyone’s attention besides the Torchic. Heath sees that May was on the floor with Torchic trying to fight of two Beedrill.
Beedrill
Age: 12
Gender: M
Rank: Silver
Potential: Silver
Moves: Fury Attack, String Shot, Poison Sting, Fury Cutter
Ability: Swarm
Beedrill
Age: 10
Gender: M
Rank: Silver
Potential: Silver
Moves: Harden, String Shot, Poison Sting, Fury Cutter [Minor Master]
Ability: Swarm
‘Both Silver. Not a terrible matchup for his first battle in the Silver rank’ Heath thought.
“Piplup use Water Gun on the Beedrill on the Left. Leave the other to Torchic” Heath orders.
“No, I want don’t want to help her…finnee” Piplup Chirped furiously before running, his speed was increased and while not by much it led him to covering the distance quicker than before which Surprised May and Torchic.
‘How?’ May and Torchic thought. Piplup jumped in the Air and Blasted a Water Gun bullet Towards the Beedrills, causing them to separate before he landed and started circling the one it was directed to fight. The Beedrill became extremely angry at Heath but evenmore so at Piplup.
“Piplup be cautious. Like we’ve practiced Hit and Dash, don’t let the Beedrill hit you with poison sting.” Heath advised.
“OK” the Piplup continued circling the Beedrill who seemed to have enough since it swung its pincer arms at the bird. Piplup dodge the first one but the second seemed to have been perfectly place as Piplup got hit.
“Piplup use pound on the pincer and then use Water Gun.”
Piplup quickly got up, and immediately used pound, letting its fin glow before running and trying to hit the Beedrill who seemed to be effortless evading.
‘At this rate Piplup will be exhausted. We need to finish this up quickly but how?’ Heath tried to come up with strategies before seeing Piplup dodge the poison sting aimed at its head. Heath immediately knew what to do.
“Piplup get close use Pound but use it on the ground.” Heath commanded. Piplup had once again used Pound but this time had smacked its fin on the ground creating a huge area of dust.
“Use growl at random places”
Piplup then chirped cause an invisible soundwave that traveled in all directions until Heath saw.
[Beedrill’s Attack Decreased]
Unfortunately, before Heath could order something, The Beedrill found Piplup and charged up its Mastery move. Not even an instance later the dust cleared and Beedrill was swiping at Piplup who was frantically dodging but continued to get hit.
Bam
Bam
Bam
Bam
Until in one of its attempts it slowed down drastically, which gave Heath the chance to retaliate.
“There use Water Gun. Full Power” Heath said hurriedly. Piplup quickly Charged the Water Gun as fast as it could and a second later it went off. The Beedrill went flying soon hit the tree which cause a loud thump to be heard. Piplup stopped, waiting to see what happened and there lied Beedrill dead.
[Defying Bravery activated.]
[Piplup has leveled up]
[Piplup has leveled up]
‘Good thing I gave him that item.’ Heath thought before running up to Piplup who looked worse for wear. Heath immediately looked towards Torchic who was finishing up their battle but May was still occasionally staring at Heath before returning to her own fight. This cause Torchic to sometimes get needlessly hit.
“She should focus on her own battle sheesh” Heath muttered before taking out a potion and a sitrus berry. He gave the berry to Piplup who this time immediately snack on it while He applied the medicine on Piplup. He saw the Potion work quickly against the cuts and holes but bruising and more complicated things seemed to take a lot longer.
‘Not bad’ Heath thought. The both of them went over things they could’ve done better as they watch the ones, they helped fight out the bee which also ended up dead in the end.
May and Torchic immediately sat down and Heath contemplated leaving but he figured he could use this as leverage, so he immediately got up and left.
“Wait, Heath…” May sighed.
‘Gotcha’ Heath turned around and looked at May with a curious look. He remained quite similar to when he lost and May seemed pained by this treatment.
“Thank you for helping Torchic with me. I’m surprised to see you and Piplup here. From what I saw yesterday, I thought Piplup was still around Copper rank but it seems that he was actually Silver all along.” May smiled.
‘Now that I saved her, she wants to treat me like a decent person? What is it that she could be mad about then?’ Heath’s expression became more strained which May took as him getting upset.
“Heath, I am sorry for my behavior.”
“…”
“Can you please say something?” May asked.
“What do you want me to say May, all I’ve done is try to be helpful and not get in the way of your lives. I know I haven’t been doing that well since Professor Birch has been forcibly sticking us together but instead of making most of the situation, you for the most part had chosen to just write me off as some dick” Heath coldly addressed the situation as he had felt it. May looked down at the ground while Torchic came to comfort her but she just looked up at him with tears flowing from her eyes.
“What do you know about me huh? I just apologized. I know I haven’t been all that nice to you since you came.” May said as she teared up.

Wallowing in self-loathing, he lives his days without much purpose or motivation. Life, however, had other plans. On a rainy night of watching life pass him by, an explosion suddenly rips our young protagonist out of the bland world he knew. Meeting an old man claiming to be able to use magic, will his life finally change? Will the world finally give him a chance? This is a complete rewrite of my earlier story. Aside from my own personal problems with depression, there were many, many things I came to dislike about the way it was progressing. With the low quality of the earlier chapters, it was in dire need of at least an editing run. Instead of just editing the subpar chapters, I decided to just do it over again and change what I did not like. Please also note that I am not a native English speaker and thus might make mistakes. I have tried hard to find and correct most, but I am certainly not perfect. If you notice anything that is wrong just leave a comment below the chapter and I will try to get to it. Dauntless: Origins
Snow white hair, blue eyes, pale. Devil, monster, mutt, failure. This story follows one Tyr Faeron, crown prince, heir primus and mass murderer. A wrathful, angry, and lost young man that has made it his goal to hunt down the men that killed his mother - and he is on the cusp of finishing the promise he'd made before her cairn stones so many years ago. On the surface he is duplicitous, whimsical, and base of cunning - but within the depths beyond the many masks he wears, something is waiting. Waiting for an end, the end he'd come to long for, whether it be to himself or any possible threats in his vicinity. After that long labor of vengeance is completed... Nobody knows, not even him - an arrogant and otherwise solitary individual with nothing in the way of friends - only the brothers of the blackguard who follow him through life as he pursues this mission. He was born a prince, but he'd be called a disappointment - failing to manifest the great power that he was born to before being summarily discarded by his father, a 250 year old 'primus'. That word again... Men who can shatter mountains and level cities, that's what he was supposed to be. Some call them demi-gods, all Tyr sees is a poor excuse for a parent. Time had made him bitter, cruel, and arguably psychotic - seeing only enemies wherever he looks. They'd come for him, too, one day - to wipe the slate clean and make room for another - and it's his conviction to ensure that he dies while taking as many of those rats with him. This is a story about finding acceptance, growth, and understanding - from the point of view of a cold and brutal individual who wears many masks. Of someone who was born to be the greatest emperor the eastern continent has ever seen - but he failed in that. Strong, yes, but only in the context of a man - Tyr's magic is weak. His convictions are weak. He has been made a beast of instinct by loss and a constant confronting of his own impotency in the face of his father. A mythos that stretches across planes, of magic, a pantheon of cruel gods. Of someone who's dedicated his entire mind to the art of killing a man, and none to living a normal childhood or coming to understand friendship, empathy, or compassion. The first five years of his life a mystery, a hole none have ever been willing to fill, leaving him warped and twisted. His formative years gone and what must've been most of his humanity along with it. Now 17, he is on the cusp of leaving the city he'd never been permitted to leave for what might be the first time in his life. Always searching, though he won't know what for, for some time. An episodic that follows experience and symbolism rather than a never ending series of battles - where the conflict lay in constantly searching for wholeness in lieu of great villains or heroes. This is where it all started, the origin, the tale told a million times - and yet it hadn't been, 'reality' is tricky like that. The greatest lie ever told by the tongue that speaks is that any of this was real at all.
