《Solitude's Requiem》A Strange Fellow

What happened? The last thing I felt was this incredible pressure that knocked me out. I slowly open my eyes, only to be welcomed by a headache that feels like a spear has been put through my head.
“Aah, what the fu…”
“Well it seems you're finally awake my good boy”
I look to my right and see a spectral humanoid sitting next to me. He is wearing a large gray vest and even more noticeably a top hat. He has a cane in his right hand and seems to be looking at his silver watch.
As he puts his monocle over his left eye, he looks at me and speaks again in this voice that sounds like someone from the 1800s trying to sell something.
“You took quite your time laying about, didn't you. You know, it's quite rude to make distinguished gentlemen like myself wait. Here I am gracious enough to”.
“Who are you?” I decide to ask, getting an even heavier headache from his voice.
“My, my, I wasn't even done speaking yet. But that is a brilliant question, mmm. What should my name be? You know, personally, I liked to call myself something very edgy, but that doesn't feel right for this shape. This calls for something more dignified!!!” He exclaims with too much fervor.
I decided to let this man ramble on about all his possible names, considering I was too busy keeping my head from bursting out in any more pain.
“I've found it!! You may call me Cornelius! Wait what abou…”
“What are you supposed to be, Cornelius?” I ask in the hope to spare myself from more of his rambling.
“Fine, fine no more naming, Cornelius will do. Anyways I'm the manifestation of your pitiful attempt of imprinting this Runic magic upon yourself.”

“Didn't I succeed if you're here?”
“Well, of course, you succeeded, otherwise you would be dead. I'm calling the attempt pitiful because the state I found you in was Pitiful.”
“….”
“Imagine my shock, I've finally been summoned for the first time in who knows how long. So I prepare for my grand entrance, only to be summoned to the demonic realm by a little shade demon who's passed out.”
“Shade demon?” I ask in a worn-out voice.
“Ah right, this might seem weird to you considering you're a reincarnated and all those shambles.”
“Let me explain.” He says while sitting down on a spectral chair that he summoned and with a creepy smirk on his face.

The Devil's own sins
Writer updates available for free on patreon. The following account, dear reader, is a recollection and retelling of the story of the first imp. The last devil born from the original primordial pit at the dawn of time, and the lowliest speck of that first generation. It recounts the tale of Thozronnath the pitiful and his steady rise from obscurity, perpetually stuck as a punching bag for his betters until the day hell itself spat him out. The information presented here is pieced together from eye-witness reports and second hand hearsay, sometimes from creatures with more than two hands. I can not tell you with any degree of accuracy how much of it is true as it begins long before our time and it's true ending lies far unto the future still. I can tell you one thing though, it was confusing as hell. Cover: Illustration for John Milton's Paradise Lost by Gustave Doré (1866), a thankfully public domain image. Currently on hiatus. Right as Rage
Only 15 years have passed since the miscreant god, Villi, stole magic from the gods and gave it to mortals. In response the mortals seem to be doing their best to squander this gift. The Kingdom of Abrune regulates it, the church of the Sacred Hierarchies outright condemns it, but one 'wildman' from across the sea begins his journey after being cursed by it. Vakdragnar's curse manifests when he loses his temper. It has driven everyone he’s ever cared about away from him. Out of options and money, he travels to the city of Tirough and quickly finds himself on the wrong side of the law. He is persecuted despite his intentions to do good. How can you stand against evil if everyone you’re trying to protect thinks you’re the villain? And if this curse is truly a part of him now, what if they’re right? **************************************************************************************************** Right as Rage is a story I’ve been excited to write for some time now. I hope everyone is as excited to read it. This story is going to be told over several arcs, with each arc containing 7-12 chapters, and an interlude or two each. I plan on submitting new chapters once a week on Tuesday evenings.

Rise
20 years have passed since the Chaos Energy Quake rippled through the Milky Way Galaxy. During the year-long Quake, Chaos Energy became unusable, rendering much of the galaxy’s technology useless, and preventing Chaotics – beings who possess supernatural abilities – from using their powers. The galaxy has since moved on from the Quake, but to this day no one knows what could have caused it. The only broadly possible hints lie with the woefully few Chaotics born during the Quake, such as the seven Chaotics born on the world of Nimalia, homeworld of the Nimalian Territories. The other galactic civilizations see little correlation between the Quake and those born during it, but now that the seven have reached the age of 20, some Nimalians think they may be able to finally learn exactly what caused the galactic disruption two decades ago…
