[Title Unlocked: {Truth Seeker}]
[Truth Seeker: The Great Dao is not difficult for those who have no preferences. When love and hate are both absent, everything becomes clear and undisguised. Make the smallest distinction, however, and heaven and earth are set infinitely apart. If you wish to see the truth, then hold no opinions for, or against, anything. To set up what you like against what you dislike is the disease of the mind. When the deep meaning of things is not understood, the mind's essential peace is disturbed to no avail. The Way is perfect, like a vast space where nothing is lacking and nothing is in excess. Indeed, it is due to our choosing to accept or reject that we do not see the true nature of things. Live neither in the entanglements of outer things, nor in inner feelings of emptiness. Be serene in the oneness of things, and such erroneous views will disappear by themselves.
Things are not what they always seem to be on the surface, you've made your first step into questioning and understanding the subtleties of life!]

Oh my god!
Reading the description, the regeneration boost, and the new skills I was overjoyed. No! Overjoyed is an understatement more like Over The Goddamn Moon!
I even cried a bit!
I closed my eyes to revel in this intoxicating feeling of growth both inward and outward.
Of course, this doesn't mean just because I received a title, I'm 100% sure about my understanding.
I can't be dependent on the system like that, what if the system has ulterior motives and starts controlling the way I think because it knows I trust it.
Hell no! Doubt and skepticism are of utmost importance to me. I can never be sure of anything.
As Socrates once said, "I know only one thing, that I know nothing."
The idea of being 100% sure of something means there are emotional undercurrents at play, that's why you can't afford to think otherwise.
A good example would be strict religious people, they've been indoctrinated into their particular belief system since they were children. Their whole lives are based on that belief, if you happen to criticize or make them doubt their beliefs they will not take it lying down and would react with intense emotions.
If by any chance, someone comes along or something happens that proves what I think is flawed, I can only listen and change my ways accordingly.

After all, life is an endless river. Learning never stops.
As I came back to the nest, I sat down to just appreciate the beauty of this forest for a while. I've always been scared that I never noticed how quiet and magical all of this is. For now at least of course because nothing is happening.
My HP, Mana, and Spiritual regeneration have reached a staggering amount of +200%, whilst my Stamina is 100%, which is great!
I can feel the rate at which I'm regenerating my Mana has doubled compared to earlier.
I have also unlocked new skills!
[Gentle Touch] is an active healing ability with 300% Health regeneration for 10 seconds, the cost is 200MP. I will cast it on the Mama eagle once I fill up all of my mana.
However, the biggest jackpot is definitely [Dao Field]!
Closing my eyes, I can sense the air around me has a different quality to it, it has become richer, gentler, and abundant in terms of Mana.
I hurriedly created the Mana membrane with which I cultivate, and I was immediately surprised.
The Mana that used to feel somewhat slippery and elusive when I try cultivating now seems more friendlier and welcoming.
My cultivation speed has increased by a large margin compared to a while ago!!
Thank goodness.
Kali was sleeping while hiding beneath her Mother's wing, today and yesterday were hard for her. That was her whole life, two days.
As I was eating the two Mandrills, I thought of something and I became so embarrassed that I wished I could find a hole to hide in!
If I used Umbra Hands earlier, I could have easily brought up the Mandrill bodies to the branches instead of forcing the Mama eagle to act despite her injuries.
I could have just controlled them to carry bodies and past them along, ladder style.
To be fair, I don't know if that's possible and I didn't know it earlier. Still! I guess it's a blessing in disguise otherwise I'd not have triggered the conditions for my new title Truth seeker.
I quickly finished the two whole grown bodies, and I closed my eyes to cultivate.
Now, another surprise is waiting for me!! Aaahhh I can't wait!!
I impatiently opened my Status Window and entered the shop!
The moment I saw the contents of the shop, my mind was blown to smithereens!!
*Insert Mind Blown Gif*
It was filled with magic! Yes, magic!!
I've never seen so much magical shit in my life.
There were all sorts of things!
Pills that increase cultivation speed, Cultivation manuals that grant crazy power if cultivated to perfection, One time consumables that explode, Seeds that can grow trees that go up to thousands and thousands of miles, Godly artifacts, Items of teleportation, Legendary looking weapons that can cut mountains in half, Armors that can absorb the full-blown attack of a god, Crazy spells of all kinds, Divine pet eggs, Plants that can cure any disease and many many other things...

I started hyperventilating, Oh shit!
My poor heart can't stand looking at all of these riches, Oh god!
*lub-dub*
My sense of hearing was blocked, All I could hear was the sound of my heart beating rapidly.
I quickly closed the shop and started breathing slowly...
I focused on my breath till I started to calm down a bit, the last thing I'd want is to keep thinking while being that emotional. I will overestimate myself and it'll change the way I'd approach helping people.
Because all of those items can only be bought by Karma Points, and they are only given through quests.
It was only after a long while that I calmed down and regained a bit of sanity.
*Pheew* I breathed out, opened my eyes, and stood up.
I walked towards the Mama bird, put my wing on hers, and activated [Gentle Touch]. I could immediately feel a strange power enter her body, this power was docile and it gave off a feeling of serenity.
The Mama eagle was shocked looking at me at first, then she closed her eyes and started letting that power course through every single part of her body.
I immediately started seeing her body changing at a visible speed, slowly but surely she started gaining back her vigor and vitality.
Her wing was mended back and she started moving it slowly, then she stood up on her two legs that are once again capable of carrying her full weight without any pain.
The several injuries that were all over her body started closing slowly, they haven't completely healed but they are an improvement.
Her eye was also still closed, it seemed to have been damaged severely. I could feel the remnant of some sinister power still lingering there.
She walked towards me, towering over me. She's still huge, If I could make a guess it's something like 3 meters tall.
I have no height reference so whenever I see something I just guess its height.
She looked down at me and rubbed her big cheeks against my head.
Ughh, stop it. It's embarrassing, get a grip, will you!
I feel like an embarrassed teenager being kissed all over by his mother in front of his school.
Even though I was fake cursing I still felt a bit warm inside.
Shit! What are you doing to me you big chicken, I don't like this one bit.
How awkward this would've been if I had human expressions. Thank god, eagle face! Strangely, even though it's an eagle face it can indeed reflect emotions.
I've seen Kali display several emotions with her face, but it just works when you truly will it to, I think...
I still waited for her to finish then I got back to my 'room' in the nest. It's just the westmost corner of the nest, it's the darkest part of the nest.
It can only belong to me, The Dark Lord Eagle. What Should I Call Myself When I grow up? The Dark Saint Zed! The Magnanimous Demon Bird! No, bird sounds too meek.
The Evil Fighter! No, this sounds like a firefighter. The Lord of The Skies, Wtf no! This sounds like The Lord of The flies.
I remember my first time hearing about the lord of the flies, I imagined two scenarios.
The first was a big magical toad that lords over an army of flies and eats them.
The second was, a human valiant warrior with a serious face and a cold disposition but he rides on a goofy-looking fly that immediately washes away any fear or reverence you had for the warrior. The contrast here is hilarious!
Anyway! Yeah, before cultivating I should eat another body. The sooner I fly the better.
I walked back to the branches above where the Mandrill bodies were, and I tried the ladder technique I thought of earlier with Umbra Hands.
And... It worked like a charm! I wished it wouldn't work, I can't help but feel embarrassed now.
I peeked at the nest, thankfully she wasn't looking.
I grabbed the body and dragged it into my dark chamber of secret-less secrets and helped myself.
Body grabbing, corpses, helping myself. Shit, If someone heard all of these words in the same sentence they'd think of I'm a necrophiliac.
I shuddered just thinking about it!
My sexual orientation does not involve corpses, I have other physical needs that require corpses.
Still not right.
I need their nutrients, energy, and Mana of course!
Thinking of corpses and needs, there are still many other completely intact and rich bodies laying there.
I thought other monsters would come, but the impact of the previous Foundation Establishment battle scared all of the nearby monsters.
I don't care, as the saying goes if the sky fell the tall people would hold it. The tallest one here is the Mama eagle, so I can let go a bit and rest at ease.
To be constantly on the edge and alert like a drawn bow takes its toll on the mind.

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.

Corpse Crawler
Ludwig Lock wakes up in a hospital bed to find a weeping woman at his side. After some crying, more weaping and confusion, Ludwig discovers that that lady was his ten year old sister, and that he's been in a coma for fifteen years. He also learns that the world he had grown to know was no more since heroes, villains, and super powers inhabit the streets, being regarded as a lot of things withing an endless spectrum. Just when he was about to finally get started with his new life, Ludwig faced a streak of bad luck, the last event of this chain setting him up to die so a vigilante can save himself. After suffering the worst beating of his life and experimenting the incompetence of the law, Ludwig decides to use his own hands to achieve justice. He will face difficult challenges, traumatic situations, and probably horrible stuff to get his life rolling. But at least he's got a friend to help him. Not a normal one though. ---- IMPORTANT: I personally identify powers as a fantastical element, which is why I don't find weird the addition of other elements of the same vein if it stays within the logic of the world. New and old chapters get updated with relative frequency, (new chapter every week, though it may be delayed a day or more to problems or some other reason) and the story is in a draft-like state, meaning it will probably stay the same but there will be changes on the prose or writing. Also, I would apreciate if it is known to me (Respectfully) which points should I improve on.
